The staff were extremely helpful and kind. We were given excellent restaurant recommendations at check in! Some of the best breakfast we had during our stay in Italy. The cappuccino was great, and we had a wide spread of breakfast options to include croissants, bruschetta, ham, cheese, quiches, and homemade cakes (delicious!). We were also offered eggs, juice, and fruit every morning. The location is superb. A stone’s throw away from the port making it easy to catch a ferry or boat ride. This also made for an amazing view from our room and from the breakfast terrace. We also had a common space just outside of our door shared with a couple other rooms. Almost like a living room type of area.

We were sorry to leave after spending a wonderful five days at Marina Piccola :-(

You can't beat the waterfront location of this fabulous little family-run hotel, opposite a small beach, a marina, and the ferry port for trips to Capri and the Amalfi coast towns, and just a few minutes up to the main shopping and dining areas of Sorrento. Our room was airy and comfortable, beautifully furnished, and impeccably clean, and featured a lovely little balcony overlooking the beach, marina, and the Bay of Naples -- a heavenly retreat after a busy day of sightseeing. The hotel's large roof terrace was a real bonus for us, offering great views across the bay to Mt. Vesuvius and the city of Naples. We enjoyed a hearty and tasty breakfast here every morning and often returned in the evening for a glass of wine and to watch the glorious sunsets. And we can't say enough about the hotel staff, who treated us like family. From reception to the food and beverage staff and the chambermaid, everyone always greeted us with smiles and ensured that we had whatever we needed to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Mary, Alice, Roberta, Donatella, and Vincenzo: We just checked out yesterday, and we miss you already! (And of course we miss the friendly resident pets: Joe Black, the cat, and Martin, the dog!)

Everything was amazing! So glad we picked this vs a larger hotel brand.

Breakfast was amazing. Sitting on a terrace and enjoying the boats and coast line sipping a cappuccino and eating handmade pastries by Donatella ( spelling may be wrong) such a personal experience. Location was easily walkable to downtown Sorrento. Easy access to bus and taxi. The bathroom in our room was so unique and had a private large terrace.

The elevator was extremely slow and if there had been a fire, there would be no other way out. May was very sweet and helpful but the owner was snippy especially if she had to repeat something.

The location and the view from our room was fantastic! You couldn’t get any closer to the water. The hotel itself was updated and very lovely! The breakfast was amazing - cappacino, platter of fresh fruit, different breads and the chef, Donnatella made amazing baked an abundance of goods! The bruschetta was so fresh - best tomato’s I ever had! Plus there was a friendly cat there that I could have had an amazing nap with!

If you want to walk around Sorrento main town, you do have to take lots of steps up or pay 1EURO to take an elevator up

AMAZING LOCATION! Close to Ferry Port so you can easily visit other parts of Amalfi Coast! The hotel is very clean, comfortable, service is excellent, nice bar overloooking Vesuvius, and the breakfast is amazing!!

Nothing I can think of!

The staff were so friendly and helpful you really felt well looked after. Breakfast was so good and the service excellent! The location was also perfect- at first I was worried we were too far away from the action but in fact it turned out to be a little piece of tranquility just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento and it is perfectly located for the Ferry’s that you will need to use to explore the coast. Would not hesitate to come back and stay again

It was quite difficult to find and unfortunately the lift broke down while we were there. The WIFI was not very good

The apartment is big and quite quirky which I liked. Fabulous views, the terrace is a beautiful place to have breakfast. Easy to get the ferries everywhere. The staff couldn't have been nicer, all really helpful.

For the fees they charge - they can offer transfers from and to the train station.

Amazing location! Although u definitely need a taxi/car to get there from the train station - we had an amazing stay. The view from our room - and the breakfast!!! Donatella who manages the breakfast IS amazing! So kind and generous. She made sure we had our sets and her cakes are amazing!!! We will definitely return if we visit Sorrento again.

I hate leaving bad reviews but our room had a strong mildew smell. I imagine it’s because this is an 1860-65 historic building and either it’s the plumbing or the fact that it’s literally at the beach. And moisture is an issue. Just how it is with beach hotels sometimes.

Beautiful charming historic 1860-65 boutique hotel. Very clean and antique design. Beautiful window doors to balcony and modernized bathroom. Very big room.

2 dislikes - lift service to town is 10 mins away and it stops at 730 pm. The passage to take to hotel after dinner was very dark therefore needing taxi service (3 mins ride) down is v expensive - €20 !! We stayed in the tower and the bathroom was situated above the beds so you need to climb up and down a circular staircase plus configuration of the bathroom was strange … you need to walk through the shower stall to get to the toilet.

Approach with medium+ sized car was a bit tricky, but with help from receptions everything was resolved positively :)

the attitude of the staff is something you have to experience for yourself. All the staff from the reception, to the breakfast providers and the cleaners behaved like the owners. I definitely recommend trying cocktails at a local bar in the evening. The view to marina an d mount Veusivius is a bonus.

One of the nights we stayed there was a strange noise that kept us awake for a while but we informed the hotel and they are going to investigate.

It was a lovely hotel, in a beautiful setting made all the nicer by the wonderful staff who were all charming and couldn't do enough to help us.

It was too far from town and although there is a lift to the top of the cliff it closes at 8:30 pm. To return to the property, you have to walk (dangerous) or take a taxi for €15 Please, some towel rails, preferably heated, are needed in the room.

This was not a problem for us, but helpful to be aware of. The property is right on the water's edge (lovely!), but the town of Sorrento is above, on the cliffs, so to reach the town, your options are to 1) walk up the road or stairs, 2) take a lift/elevator which costs about 1 euro, or 3) take a bus (not sure the cost). We did a combination of walking and taking the lift, but we enjoyed the extra exercise :)

The views were amazing, the room was so unique and lovely! We enjoyed the breakfasts every morning with the views of the sea and Mt Vesuvius. Staff were friendly and helpful! I would definitely come back!
