Not only is this place a charming escape, Roberto and his wife are exceptional hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and we learnt about a local festival, as well as some of the regions agricultural challenges. We would highly recommend a stay here if you are in the area.

This review is truly a testament to the amazing host who runs this establishment. Staying at palazzo Angelica felt less like checking into a hotel and more like being welcomed into a beautiful, meticulously cared-for home. The owner is genuinely personable and attentive; their warmth is the heart of this place. They didn't just manage the property—they curated the entire experience. The atmosphere is one of profound tranquility. It is an incredibly intimate and cozy setting, perfect for unwinding. Everywhere you look, you notice the attention to detail, from the beautifully curated decor to the small, thoughtful amenities provided in the room. Nothing felt accidental; everything was placed with care to enhance the guest experience also the breakfast being a great selection of freshly prepared things. Giurdignano is a perfect small town with a few restaurants all you need and close to beaches and other bigger touristic towns.

The most beautiful decor and surroundings! Everything was perfect including an amazing breakfast. Roberto is the most welcoming host with great suggestions. We really enjoyed our time here and can’t recommend staying here enough! It’s perfect. If you want to visit Salento and relax this is a wonderful spot near Otranto and many beautiful beaches.

Wow!!… This was an incredible place to stay not only for the outstanding hospitality from Roberto, You couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome but the property itself is immaculate and of a very high standard, room size very generous & Extremely clean. We had a fabulous stay here. Breakfast is very generous with a large selection available pool was terrific to enjoy at any end of the day, a wonderful selection of olive oil and wine available for guests to enjoy every reasonable prices couldn’t recommend Angelina’s highly enough Thank you for the amazing memories!

Nothing it was perfect

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Palazzo Angelica, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. Roberto and Paola were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home, as though we were part of the family. The rooms were immaculate, spacious, elegant, and exceptionally comfortable. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, and the amenities were top-notch. The location was ideal as well: nestled in a charming small town, yet within easy reach of Lecce, Otranto, Castro, and Ciolo, which we thoroughly enjoyed exploring during our stay. The swimming pool was a serene spot to relax in the afternoons, and Paola’s breakfasts were absolutely delightful. Each morning we were treated to homemade pastries, cakes, fresh seasonal vegetable dishes, eggs, cheese, and sliced meats. Even my gluten-free diet was beautifully catered for, including indulgent chocolate croissants. I would wholeheartedly recommend Palazzo Angelica to anyone seeking not just a wonderful place to stay, but also a truly authentic and personal experience away from the hustle and bustle. It was an oasis in every sense of the word.

We had an incredible stay at Palazzo Angelico. The rooms and property are charming, spacious and tranquil. Each piece of furniture and decor is thoughtful and matches the property. Our original plan was to make a series of day trips from the property but we found ourselves never wanting to leave it and spent most of our day at the Palazzo. Roberto is incredibly hospitable and generous with his time, and personalises the stay in a way that makes you feel at home. The breakfast was also delicious and there’s some bakeries and supermarkets in the town which will get you through the day as well. Proximity to Otranto to spend your evenings is also a bonus.

Everything about the property was amazing

The property is absolutely gorgeous. It’s in an incredible location. That is very easy to park in. The rooms are gorgeous and massive with huge bathrooms. A wonderful breakfast each morning and an incredibly kind and generous host.

Beautiful and peaceful location – just 15 minutes from Otranto and 30 minutes from Lecce. Every morning started with fresh breakfast made from ingredients straight from the garden. Roberto and his wife were incredibly attentive and kind – they gave us amazing tips for great restaurants, beautiful beaches, and must-see spots in the area. The place was very clean, well maintained, and we felt completely at ease.

Roberto and his wife have a beautiful B&B near Otranto. On arrival Roberto welcomed us with a glass of wine and gave us some recommendations of where to visit when in the area. It is about a ten minute drive to Otranto from the B&B. The room was absolutely stunning. The interiors were amazing, so spacious and clean. Breakfast was served near the pool in the morning and there was plenty of choice. We would highly recommend!

This retreat really lives up to its name. It is an absolutely delightful getaway in a small and charmingly genuine Salentino town. Roberto and his staff is so welcoming and instantly made us feel at home. He also knows the area so well and will guide you to all the best places and sights. The retreat itself really feels exclusive in this relaxed and warm way, everything in sight is meant to be there. Just amazing, through and through. Having seen the pictures we knew it would be beautiful but even so we were blown when we got there and we never got quite used to it even if we stayed there for five full days, it kept growing on us. Thank you Roberto with staff, hope to see you soon again!

Stunning decor and beautifully designed spaces. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a great pool and excellent amenities. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Roberto and Paola were wonderful hosts, offering helpful suggestions on what to do in the area and making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for something wrong with this establishment, you won't find it. From the welcome to the comfort of the rooms to the garden and all the details that Roberto has put in place. Our stay was perfect. I would like to thank him again for allowing us to have such a wonderful time. Good time in this beautiful region that on Puglia, and I recommend to anyone passing through this region to go through Roberto's establishment, he will know how to tell you the best restaurants and the best places to visit and feel at home in a place spent for rest. Also, breakfast was outrageously good !!

There was nothing to complain about. The accommodation was a dream!

We had an absolutely wonderful time – everything was perfect from start to finish. The breakfast was outstanding: lovingly prepared each morning by Roberto and his wife, always varied, always delicious, and clearly made with great care and attention to detail. Roberto was the perfect host – proactive, warm, and full of excellent recommendations for restaurants and local attractions. We felt genuinely welcomed and well looked after throughout our stay. The property is incredibly child-friendly, which was a huge plus for us. Our 3-year-old son felt completely at home and had a fantastic time. In contrast to many elegant places that have an “adults only” vibe, this one was both stylish and family-welcoming – a rare and wonderful combination. The entire estate is beautifully maintained, the pool area is stunning and very inviting, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. We truly felt at home here – it was more than just a holiday, it was an experience. The only (very minor) downside was that the internet connection in the rooms wasn’t always stable – but honestly, that was barely noticeable given how perfect everything else was. We can’t recommend this place highly enough – thank you for such a special stay!

Everything was so good, wish we could have a longer stay!

Wonderful place, even better than the pictures! Owner and staff very nice and attentive. Amazing garden with beautiful pool- and breakfastareas. Suites very beautiful decorated and spacious. We felt at home and will definitely come back!

When you arrive in the village of Giurdignano you think you’re in the wrong place. Once you locate the entrance you will be greeted by the wonderful owner Roberto and you step into the most gorgeous courtyard. Beautiful trees, flowering plants it’s truly magical. We stayed in the two bedroom suite, ideal for a family or perfect if you have husband that snores! The room has everything you need a kettle, fridge and a safe. The property is outstanding but the true asset is Roberto and his wife Paola. They treated us like family, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast in the courtyard each morning was very special, homemade savoury items along side typical Italian cheese, ham, roasted vegetables, croissants, bread etc. Roberto produces wine and olive oil and this is available to purchase plus the added bonus of an honesty bar during your stay. You’re only a few miles from Otranto but if you fancy a traditional Trattoria try the one in the village, great pizzas and seafood pasta. Palazzo Angelica made our trip to Puglia, it was a pleasure to wake up in beautiful surroundings and an oasis to return to at the end of the day.

Everything. The room was incredible and the staff were wonderful hosts. It was relaxing and set in a quiet and lovely small town. Robertos warmth and care is experienced in every way. We left feeling like family, and in today's world hotels like this are rare. We travel alot and we believe this was one of our favourites. . Salento also exceeded our expectations on our first visit and we will definitely be returning . Thankyou Roberto and Paola for making our stsy extra special.

The beautiful accommodation is located in the lovely, relaxed village of Giurdignano near Otranto. Roberto and his wife are wonderful hosts. The property is an oasis of peace with a pool. I wish I could have stayed a week

This by far is the place I have stayed my entire trip!! The room is gorgeous!! Modern with old school charm. They even have a tub!! This is the perfect place to come and truly unwind and enjoy the Salento region. The breakfast was also amazing. The chef makes the this cake, I had 4 slices the first I ate. Roberto the owner is helpful and kind. His wife was also welcoming. They treat you like family. My room had its own pool and balcony.
