It was difficult to find and to figure out how to get in….always prefer real human contact and in such a large and quiet place, which was empty, the whole process felt spooky. In the morning after I met the staff and had some human contact I felt much better about it.

Deep in center, calm neighborhood with lots of character and not too many (other) tourists. Very classy size and architectural detail and simple, appealing decor in room.

No air conditioning ... but ... to be expected in such a historical building. Fantastic big windows which allowed in looots of fresh air and a ceiling fan. It was only a minor issue in September! Great place.

This is a beautiful accommodation in a great location. The building is very historic and has amazing architecture. The location is superb and located beside all the attractions. I felt like royalty staying in such a fantastic room!

The only problem was that there was not any air condition innthe room. With 30-33C was really needed.

Fantastic location. Amazing building. Easy checkin. The biggest room we have ever stayed! Super clean. The stuff cleaned the room during our stay. Full refrigirator with goodies. We loved it.

Remote interaction host/guest could be improved and personalized (e.g. sending standard messages requesting things that l had already provided). But this is a detail in an otherwise very unique and special experience.

Perfect location. Beautiful and unique environment. Very comfortable. Luxury details. An absolute landmark for my future trips to Genova!

    Nothing.

Spacious room in an old palazzo slap-bang in the city centre. A fantastic entrance through huge doors and marble staircases, and enormous shutters. Walking distance to everywhere. Ceiling fan did sterling work.

I stayed for one night and was very happy.

Location is outstanding. Room was really lovely, added an ensuite without disrupting the beautiful original features. Cristina was in contact from the time of booking and was lovely to deal with.

Beautiful palazzo in front of a cathedral, with just a few downsides
    • Leisure trip

I only stayed one night and wouldn't have wanted to stay longer for a few reasons - first the smell in the bathroom was pretty bad, in Genoa there is a common problem of stinky pipes (in many hotels) because it is an old city. This however was next level - like rotten eggs. My room had a scaffolding directly outside the window which I could have been notified about. Also, the place was not very easy to find (even though there is a big sign outside, google maps does not work well in the area) and it's hard to carry luggage around that area with the cobblestones and hills and lack of taxi access. Beds also weren't comfy but OK for a night. And, water from the shower somehow got all over the floor! I knew that there would be some issues like these when I stayed here, and I don't regret staying here since it is a beautiful place, it just had a few downsides.

Staying in a beautiful antique palazzo in Italy should be on your bucket list, especially when it is in front of a stunning cathedral! It seems there has been a recent renovation and it's nicely done. The room was huge and nicely decorated, there was a lounge area which was also nice and had a view of the cathedral, and the room had a nice mini bar - a fridge with free water, cookies, nice teas. The receptionist was there when I arrived and was lovely (though someone is not always there). She also reached out to me before to answer any questions was very helpful. And although it was really hot outside, the building was naturally cool inside so no AC was needed. And for those who say the hallways are dark, you need to turn on the lights! Also, the codes and access were no problem at all. The area is lively and not dangerous at all - full of italians and some tourists just enjoying the summer.

Size of the room was fantastic ,bathroom was small but functional, bar fridge was great and our water was replaced daily ,including sparkling water. Walking distance to everything. Taxi from main train station was 20 euro, taxi to brignole station 10 euro, all taxi drivers were great. Self check in was easy. We hardly saw anyone else which made it feel like we had the place to ourselves,so it was wonderfully quiet😊 Views of the church from the lounge / reception area where we sat and had a glass of wine . If you like interacting with lots of people then not the place for you ,but if you want peace and tranquility after lots of travel then it’s a perfect little stop .

Although we arrived during reception hours, no one was there to meet us. Instructions left could be more precise, informing the lift also reached the ground floor - that would saved us to carry big suitcases up the magnificent entrance stairs!

Very big and confortable room. Excellent location - very central but quite. Many original features from the Palazzo.
