Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BelgiumThere's no breakfast but in the end I preferred it that way, there are so many food options within 5 minutes that it would be a shame to waste a meal at the accommodation.
Freshly renovated property, spacious room and shower, A/C in the room and accommodating host. It works best if you know some Italian. Loved the drying rack outside the window. 10 minutes walk from the beach, 10 min walk from old town which is perfect when you need an after dinner stroll. Blackout curtains, which are a huge plus when there's so much light and heat.

PolandI rate this property 11/10, the place is absolutely amazing! The whole stay was great! Owners are extremely kind, warm and helpful! The whole place and room are beautiful, clean, modern, spacious, comfortable and well-equipped with big and comfy bed. The location is ideal - a few minutes walk from the train station and the historic center but at the same time very quiet and peaceful. An additional advantage was the option to store luggage. I highly recommend! Thank you very much for the wonderful stay and hospitality.

The service was outstanding and we felt very comfortable staying at Pasitea Tropea. Great value for money and the staff were very kind and accommodating. Great location only a short walk to beaches and restaurants. It was also the best shower we’ve had on our two month long trip in Europe. A huge thank you to the host for offering us a ride to the train station when we departed too.
