The stairs to the apartment were a challenge—four flights—be prepared. There is no elevator in this historical building which was once a consulate. You will have to carry your luggage up those stairs.

Our hostess was the best! She felt like family and was so amazing and helpful! The breakfast staff was also very friendly. The breakfast was delightful and again…great service! I would stay here again! Great location if you’re on a cruise especially. It’s only a few blocks away from the terminal, grand canal and main square! The room was very large and comfortable.

It’s very dated and could do with an upgrade, shower leaked all over the floor, kettle not working in room so we used the one in the breakfast room.

Only one thing was difficult & that was the 69 stairs from the front door to the door of the hotel!!! With no lift & a very heavy suitcase.

We loved the oldness of the building with appropriate decor furniture & fittings. We were very comfortable, as was the bed. Fabulous hot shower. Owner very friendly. Location just where we needed to be on the waterfront. Lovely stay 🥀

It’s just me - but I think there were just a tad too many heart ornaments which, to me, took away the loveliness of the room a little. But, as I said, it’s just me.

It was a spacious room - the bed was comfortable and the spare bed was useful to spread out my ‘stuff’. I loved the washbasin in the bathroom! Breakfast was superb - great spread.

There was no elevator and bringing heavy suitcases was a chore to bring up to the room….especially for senior citizens. A/C did not cool sufficiently.

The property was close to the port and plenty of restaurants and sightseeing within blocks.

A little difficult to find as it is not a hotel as such 69 stairs to get to the apartment no lift. Parking very difficult but we were lucky as very little parking areas in trieste and to many cars

Our stay at this accommodation was absolutely wonderful! The rooms were beautiful and spotlessly clean, and the location is perfect, just a short five minute walk to all the main landmarks in Trieste. This place truly added a special charm to our trip. Each day started with a delicious breakfast served in a cozy and intimate atmosphere. Everything was fresh and incredibly tasty. The owner has done an amazing job decorating and creating this space, it’s clear that a lot of care and love went into it. She is also a truly lovely person, always up for a warm and friendly conversation. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Trieste. The quality-to-price ratio is very reasonable and definitely worth it!

This is a beauty on the Trieste waterfront , with gorgeous views , of the port . It’s handy to old town to walk around and the hosts are kind and generous , helpful . The breakfast is a work of art and so are the rooms

It was quite loud during the night since there are a lot of restaurants and bars on the piazza in front of the hotel and during the weekend there were a lot of people and very loud music.

The location was superb - so close to everything, right on the waterfront. The place was so quaint it was like being in a movie. The breakfast was elegant and very European. Lovely coffee too.

Although the staff suggested that parking is available on the street near the hotel, finding a free parking spot in Trieste is a wishful fantasy. There is an inexpensive public outdoor lot about a block away, which proved a much better bet. The furnishings of the rooms are a little fussy, with an air of faded elegance; the photos on the website make things seem a little fresher than they are in person

The B and B is in an excellent location, right next to the waterfront and near many restaurants. The staff were very helpful in suggesting restaurants and things to do. The breakfast was excellent. We had a large room with windows that faced the waterfront.

An excellent location. Both hosts very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

The room door was not closing well and it was not isolating any noise. You could hear everything inside and outside our room (La Lanterna) The shower gel dispenser was empty during our stay of two days.

The air conditioning was not working and no elevator, which was stated in the room's description.

The hostess was very accomodating and helpful. Breakfast was complete and very elegantly portrayed. The shower was nice with lots of pressure and the room even had Q-tips and kleenex. The air conditioning was not in use, so we had to keep the window open. If you have a lot of luggage, there is no elevator, so you will have to carry it up and down a few flight of stairs. Other than that, it was a very comfortable stay!
