It was very charming, comfortable and quiet. Susanna was very welcoming and kind. On our second morning, we had to leave early, and Susanna made sure we had coffee and something to eat before we left, which was very kind.

Beautiful property on the hill above the town of Como. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fresh and wonderful. They had coffee and tea available 24 hours. The walk down to the town and the lake is pleasant. Very enjoyable stay.

This estate offers charm at every turn! You could spend several days just admiring the history of the building alone. The staff were amazing and treated us like family. Whether relaxing on the balcony while taking in the views of the city below, reading a great book in the library, or gathering around the table in the study for a nice glass of wine and cards with friends, you’ll not be disappointed. Make sure to book a personal dinner handcrafted by the Chef on staff if you can. Our entire stay was truly special! Don’t miss out!

We had an excellent stay at Ronco Dell’Abate - Como. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was spacious, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the service was always warm and professional. The location was ideal, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. A special thanks to (Susanna and Sabine) for the outstanding hospitality. It was quite a walk to the lake but we found the N11 bus which is a 5-minute walk away and took us to the lake and to a lido. Highly recommend using that.

Fascinating property with interesting history. Huge rooms and extras like the library were a real treat. Susannah was an excellent host. The breakfasts were stunning. We loved it.

Just some mosquitos in our room that were very annoying and also it was possible to blackout all the light on the room (because of this i woke up early the morning).

Well furnitioned apartment with antique comfortable furniture, mrs Susana was looking after every thing, simple good breakfast. No kitchen and no boiler in the apartment but there was one in the breakfast room.

The property is secluded, beautiful and a great location. Everything was clean and our room was tidied daily. The breakfast was delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. When I travel I like to stay in areas a little further away from the crowds and this was perfect! The Villa is approximately 10 minutes by taxi to Lake Como. You can ride the buses for less of a walk as well, but we chose to take the ~20 minute walk one day and it was very easy.

Difficult to get our heavy luggage to the reception area. Although there was an elevator to the third floor there were quite a few stairs just to reach the reception area.

Parking was a little hard for a big car, and the room had a strange smell.

Just a tad far from historical centre 30-40min casual stroll with steep climb on return so you wouldn’t really want to go for dinner in the old town unless you took a taxi. Fortunately there are some good local restaurants within walking distance (1km).

Gorgeous property in a tranquil setting. Building itself is reminiscent of Swiss chalet with delightful garden which must be a real joy in spring & summer while still being pleasant in autumn. Rooms are large with an elevator to the top floor. Complimentary tea facilities in dining room. Breakfast was excellent with choice of eggs on request, coffee made to order. Staff really friendly.
