Smelly towels, clogged shower, no fan in such hot weather. Staff was not even replying. No lights in room except side table lights. Cooking stove was purposely turned off and didn’t have any washroom amenities. Won’t recommend to anyone

Where to start. First of all they changed our location at the last minute. Walking into the place there was a bad smell of wet laundry. All the dirty sheets and towels were in a big bag for who knows how long stinking up the place. Our room was not habitable. The bed sheets had hairs from the last occupants and had no blankets to sleep on. We had to use our jackets as blankets to sleep. The washroom smelt from the plumbing and the shower was not cleaned from the last occupant. When me and my wife said ok we will make the best of it, we will explore the city I started getting messages from the host saying she needs to get into my room to get a bed. Saying I am a group of 2 and she has a group of 4 coming. All of my stuff was open. Clothes, passport, credit cards. I told her no she can't get in. I don't authorize it. She said she will go in anyways. I returned to get my stuff and so I lost my timed ticket to the Colosseum. I got my stuff and left. She didn't apologize or care.

The place was in awful condition, no internet, there was a lot of mold, the toilet was one and shared and it smelled awful. I also heard the AC didn't work in the other room next to us and was leaking.

Great price, one of the cheapest in Rome. Amazing localisation. Vatican and metro station in walking range while surrounding streets, cafes and restaurants are not full of turists. You really can feel true local vibe. Also really comfy beds

Well, I think all people reviewing this accommodation have one thing in common, we are not rich. I have a budget when I go on vacation and prefer a simple room, so I have more money to spend on food and shopping. All I need is a clean bathroom and a clean bed with white sheets and this is exactly what I got at Sabo Rooms. I loved the neighborhood, having my coffee with Romans instead of other tourists, living in the apartment of someone's Nonna, outdated but original. I've worked 15 years in tourism (GR), 5 star places and no star places, people will always complain. Be realistic about your expectations, what you pay is what you get. I highly recommend Sabo Rooms to travelers who appreciate authenticity

Even though it’s expensive to stay, there isn’t even a fan. On Booking it says there is one, but I asked the owner about it three times and was ignored each time. Sleeping in this heat, full of mosquitoes biting you, is terrible. Not worth it. There is nothing in the facilities—horrible, the worst place in Rome. You’re better off sleeping on the streets; at least it’s cooler. Believe me, don’t waste your money on this awful guesthouse.

I was ignored by the owner, so I should also ignore any positive points—if there are any. Not worth it!

There was a little mess, especially under the beds. Also, the beds used to slide and we had a trouble to sleep without falling into the hole they're were making by that.

Air conditioner. Localisation was great - we could see an anciet obelisk and pretty fountains in the middle of city, near Borghesee gallery.
