We travelled as a group of 5 friends and we all enjoyed our stay at Sole Mare. The location was great, being on a quiet side street, yet only a few minutes walk to the railway station and bus stops where you can get regular buses into Taormina and along the coast. It was also only a short distance down to the promenade where there are a few shops, bars and restaurants. We thought it was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of Taormina town centre. However getting to the station or promenade does involve walking on a busy main road, where there is no footpath, so you have to be careful. The rooms are situated on 4 floors so be prepared for some walking up and down stairs, as there is no lift. Our room was on the top floor and was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely balcony. The bed was very comfortable and the air-con worked well. Breakfast was a continental style cold buffet, with a good choice of cereal, fruit, yogurt, bread, jam, cheese, ham, egg etc. Iwona the owner was very friendly and helpful, and kindly transported our luggage to the railway station when we were leaving.

It was at a quiet end of the resort, and my husband couldn't walk the distance to the busier end. Very difficult to walk on the beach, the stones sink, and it's difficult to walk into the sea. Rubberised beach shoes are a must.

Great host and staff. Very helpful. Telli with Netflix and utube. Very clean. Bed made every day.

We stayed in the top level, which was lovely but since it was the end of our trip we had become tired of carrying luggage up stairs. If we had our time again, we'd ask in advance if we could have a room on a lower floor.

Nice B&B, good breakfast provided. We were out exploring most of the time but good location to the train station and bus to Taormina.

Only thing will be very small shower. Interesting to see 2 toilets (one for bidet) at many places in Italy. Would preferred bigger shower room!

In the very great location, close to beach, restaurants, easy access to Taormina and quieter neighborhoods. We much preferred beach near this place instead of going to crowded Taormina area. Room was spacious, clean with lots of fun arts. Great breakfast and host was very helpful and nice.

Room was quite dark and it would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in room. The balcony was advertised as city or sea view but ours was looking at next doors brick wall, but you can't have it all!

Great location. Train station is 10 minute walk and bus stops 2 minutes away. Bus is €2 to Taormina centre which has stunning views across the sea. Comfy bed and super helpful owner, Yvonne, who very kindly gave us a lift to station when it was raining hard. Oh, and the breakfast options are superb too!

This is a beautiful B&B in a quiet side street. The room was very big and had everything we needed. The decorations throughout the property were really nice, and there was even a small kitchen and common area. The breakfast was varied and plentiful and we never felt rushed. The lady who runs the B&B was very enthusiastic about her love for Sicily and told us lots of places we should visit. It really inspired us to come back!

We were actually just looking for a place close to the railway station for one night, but we would happily have spent a week at Sole Mare if we had the time. Cozy, clean, comfortable. Yvonna is a great host. Sole Mare is a place with character - and a full breakfast!

This is hotel out of my expectations, the room is better then the photo. The decorations is unique. They serve a very tasty breakfast. It's very easy to reach Taormina from here through Via Crocefisso(Don't follow Google map)

We would have liked a kettle in our room.

Iwona our host was lovely, very welcoming and gave us lots of good information. The breakfast was excellent with good coffee although no hot food options. Our room was clean and spacious and well appointed with a small balcony to sit at. It was a ten minute walk to the train and bus station although the road is very busy.

The shower kept changing its temperature from hot to cold.

The same breakfast every day, being a little diversified Breakfast start time a bit late, when leaving on the last day I missed it without benefiting from an alternative, but I understood that tourist services cannot be adapted to the services of transport companies

All the staff was friendly instead of an old man. He was at the hotel when we arrived 3 hours earlier before check-in. We asked him about leaving our baggage at the reception and he told us only if we pay for it (with really bad English). He was unfriendly. So we carried our bags with us to the beach until 2pm. However on the day of leaving the host of the hotel let us to leave our baggages there til we've been swimming. I think it could be on the first day, too if not the uncle welcomed us.

Very nice and clean hotel, with an individual mood of sea coast. Close to the station and Taormina, too. The host is kind and helpful. There is a common kitchen what is so useful because we have no fridge in the room.
