How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room with jacussi is a lot of fun. Has a huge private terrace and a barbecue grill.

There was a very strong fragrance in the hallway, which i didn't like at all. We covered the door, just to protect the room from the smell. It's not necessary to smell that much in any perfume/aroma. That's why I gave them 7/10.
Good idea,close to city center. it was clean, there were enough towels,it had minibar.

It's in a great location, close to the train station, so you don't have to go very far. There were four of us, we had two big separate rooms, and everything was fine. There is a large market near the place where you can buy fresh and tasty fruits and vegetables, as well as other products. There are places to eat nearby, so you don't have to walk far to find them. If I go back to Genoa, I will come back here.

Shower head over the bath but no shower curtain so had to sit or neal to take a shower.
Great location for getting around Genoa and further afield. Short walk to the railway station and some great restaurants. Rooms were big and clean, both had air conditioning which helped with the heat.

A side gate of the mercato orientale was in the dead-end-road below our window. Waste disposel of the market contuinied until 11 pm. It was not too loud but some guests might find it slightly disturbing.
Bignole station is only 500m away. The town center can easily be reached by foot or bus. The appartment is next to the mercato orientale. That's great for shopping fresh sea food, vegetables and fruits. There are also some cafes and bakeries in the neighbourhood.

Some reviews mentioned being able to leave luggage after check out, which is one of the reasons I booked. However, this is not possible. Fortunately there is a left luggage service at Brignole station.
Great location for walking into Genoa and also for accessing bus and train services from Brignole. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable and check in instructions were clear. Staff were responsive when I had questions.

It does not have an elevator.
Good location (city centre). The room was very big, comfortable and clean. We were able to leave the luggage there after check out. They left free water for us.

Everything is great. It is a bit difficult to adjust the balance of hot and cold water in the shower, but this is an absolute trifle that does not spoil the wonderful impression.
Excellent location. Wonderful and very large room. Perfect cleanliness, all amenities. Large terrace, which we unfortunately could not appreciate, as it rained all the time. The room was warm in March. If we are in Turin again, we will definitely come back. I recommend it to everyone!

The procedure to insert the documents online requires too much time.
Very nice apartment in the center of Genova, about 15-20 minutes walking from the aquarium.

The check in was interesting, there is no reception. It's just a Whatsapp chat you are in contact with, and whenever you have a need you're in touch with them. They're very fast and responsive, and I understand it's cost-efficient for sure, but still it was a bit weird to not meet any humans!
The room I stayed was huge and it was very good for the value. It was winter, but heating worked well. The location is about 10 minutes walking distance from train station, and the building is on one of the main streets of the city. The place was neat and clean, room service was on point every day. The beds were very very comfortable, slept like a baby!

Not easy to find the place. Google Maps and Booking not showing the same location. Lots of stairs in case of disable of elderly people. In the pictures seems better than reality. For the price should have a breakfast.
Very good room size, bathroom with a lot facilities very close to central piazza and in one of the biggest avenues.

Perfect location, was really easy to arrive by car and park nearby based on recommendations from hotel manager. Also we got super useful advices from her about nice beach locations around Genova.
