How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Room super cute and unique. ..I stayed in the Ocean. The host sent me videos on how to access and all codes needed to enter the room. He was very responsive and let us leave the laugage in the kitchen area before check in time so we could explore the city.
Talk about location....if you are seeking to experience Rome and be near the Trevi Fountain....Collisium.. Trajan Forum and mamy more...this is your spot. Also walk 5 min catch the bus 64 or 40 takes you directly to Vatican City.

The luggage lift, but its likely fixed now.
Location is very central to the sights of Rome, and shopping. Only a 20 min walk from Rome termini as well. Host was very helpfall. I liked that it was newly renovated whilst retaining some older charm.

We were greeted by our host Alessandro who was just so welcoming and helpful, we arrived earlier than our check in time but he was happy to take care of our luggage whilst we wandered around. The room was lovely, modern and spacious and the location just perfect, walking distance to many of the great sights. The kitchen area was great for coffee and breakfast making and the daily delivery of fresh pastry and cakes just delightful. All these little touches were part of what made our stay so memorable. I would definitely recommend staying here it was just perfect.

Everything was perfect.
The location is exceptional, 5 minutes walk from Di Trevi and really close to the Collosseum and to the Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II, there is a kitchen with all facilities and breakfast cakes and muffins as a compliment. The room was clean and more than enough for a couple. Definitely will save this place for my next visit of Rome.

Not a problem for us but be aware individual rooms all open onto a shared facility area.
Great location. Modern fit-out with filtered water, good amenities and quiet. The host was excellent and extremely helpful by meeting us to show key set-up etc and going out of his way to suggest restaurants & organise taxi etc.

The only thing is that the room is quite small. This might be a problem for those with a lot of luggage.
The room is modern and everything is brand new. Impeccably clean! Incredible location! Just a few minutes' walk from the Trevi Fountain and several other tourist attractions. We walked everywhere. The air conditioning in the room was excellent, the TV connected to our cell phone, and the shower was great! We highly recommend it!

An ideal location if you are on a city break to Rome. Walking distance to all big tourist attractions. Our host was very welcoming and kept in touch during our stay. The apartment is kept very clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

Trevi Steps is impeccably clean, high quality accommodation with contemporary decor. There is exceptional attention to detail which ensures a very comfortable and pleasurable stay. It was 37 degrees when we visited and the air conditioning worked perfectly cooling the room quickly. The bedroom window has a remote controlled blackout blind fitted into the frame, and the bed was huge and extremely comfortable. You are provided with 3 towels per person which are white and fluffy (the brand Pierre Cardin). The kitchen area is lovely, with filtered water available from the tap (cold, room temperature or even sparkling), it was such a bonus to have this. Alessandro is the perfect host. He is generous with his time and responds immediately to any questions. He met us at the property (after making contact via WhatsApp), where we were given delicious homemade cakes made by his Mum. At the end of our stay he let us store our bags after checkout. He is a kind and genuine person making sure you have everything you need for a seamless stay. He even arranged a taxi to the airport for us. The location is within walking distance to the historic sites, and also close to restaurants and shops. We felt very safe. There is a guestbook with extensive information including a 7 day suggested itinerary which is detailed and so helpful. All in all I’d like to say a big thank you to Alessandro and recommend Trevi Steps without hesitation.

The Oceana room was way too small for us. Didn’t realize how small the room was when we booked. It was hard to navigate the room with luggage. Also, a bit of a smell in the toilet room. When we visit again, I’d select a larger room.
Great location. Very close to all of the attractions. Not too noisy for sleeping. The staff was very friendly and met us when we arrived. Nice shared kitchen area with espresso machine. The bed was extremely comfortable.

We booked this last minute in Rome due to the close proximity to everything we wanted to see. It truly exceeded our expectations in all ways. The property is very modern and very clean. You have access to a kitchen stocked with water, coffee and beautiful home made cakes!! The service is next level and there is a map in the room with suggested site seeing.
