How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewVery good position to go to the citycenter or to the ippodromo for concerts. Clean, spacious room with all the amenities and bathroom inside the room. Breakfast is offer in a caffetteria at 200m from the flat, wide selection of brioches and kind people.
A little bit rumorous in the morning cause if on a street with a little bit of traffic, just bring a pair of earcaps.

Verified reviewVery clean room, clear information how to get inside etc, very tasty breakfest and super friendly people (Bar Pegaso)
It was quite cold during nights (February), even with the AC/radiator switched on

Verified reviewBreakfast at the Pegaso was amazing - make sure to get your brioches and coffee, read the paper (out loud if you have it for > 10 mins ;) and soak up the atmosphere! Room was exactly as expected from the listing. Clean, warm (my partner and I visited in November), nice clean bathroom, and perfect for staying for a few days and exploring the city.

Verified reviewbreakfast, served at a nearby patisserie, consisting of 2 croissants and a cappuccino, the location is 2 km from the center
because of the external noise caused by the traffic in the street, it is actually impossible to sleep, I closed absolutely all the shutters, the window, I even used ear plugs. the windows are very poorly soundproofed. if you want to sleep during your stay...clearly choose something else

Verified reviewEverything was great! The room/apartment was large enough for both of us to have our own space. The interior was elegant, we immediately felt we were in Florence. Since we stayed at mid-September, we had closed the windows, so there was no sound of the traffic in the busy road at the morning. Everything was very clean, especially the bathroom. The location of the apartment is really good, with people walking in every hour of the day and night, so we weren't afraid to come back to the apartment late at night. Also, there are places to eat nearby and are open untill midnight. The apartment is located in a great spot near the river, about 15-20-minute-walk from the historical center and I highly recommend you to take a stroll at both day and night. The best part was the breakfast! There were coupons for each one of us, so every morning we could go and get a delicious breakfast (1 coffee and 2 pastries each -in Italy they have sweets for breakfast, such as stuffed croissants) at a very traditional Italian pasticceria! You could see Italians order, eat their breakfast with their friends or drinking their coffee while reading the newspaper and then leave for their work. It felt like a movie!
The apartment does NOT have a kitchen and we had to drink water from the toilet faucet or buy water bottles from the stores nearby. Also, the apartment is at the third floor of a stair-only building, so if you have heavy suitcases it can be a problem. However, the owner warned us about this fact and as we only had backpacks, we had no problem.

Verified reviewThe bathroom was fantastic. Also the room was very spacious. Very neat and the host was easy to communicate with.
The room was at the top of the building and there was only stairs which was fine for us but would make it difficult for others. It would have been nice if there was a tv.

Verified reviewVery clean. Had everything we needed. Good breakfast provided and supermarket/restaurants nearby.
You’re right by a busy/noisy road, as a sensitive sleeper I was ok with an earplugs & headphones combo.

Verified reviewRoom was clean, room is close to the city centre.
Parking was 20eur per day and not 10eur like the offer says. There was no info about breakfast time. The location of breakfast was closed?! So NO breakfast was provided.
the bar was open regularly. the guest went to the wrong bar because he didn't follow the directions. parking varies depending on the street where the car is placed. also there was the possibility of free parking at the shopping center but it was not used
