How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewEverything was perfect: the room was clean and we had the most beautiful view. The location is perfect: ~10 min walk to the train station and same distance to the beach. The breakfast was very good and aesthetic. We had a possibility to reserve garage and leave our rent car there. The mobility on the place is very good, so we didn’t used the car to get to Sorrento, Positano, Pompei… the train or fairy can bring you wherever you want in Campania. Special thanks to Kevin for being very friendly and helpful!

Verified reviewOn the recommendation of our daughter, who had stayed here the previous year, we decided on a week in Seiano at Vesuvio View. The owner, Kevin was very understanding of our later than planned arrival due to a missed connection on our flight out. Our room was immaculate, clean and beautifully presented. The bed was extra large and very comfortable. Lots of storage space. The bathroom/shower room was well appointed with all the necessary toiletries. There was a small fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. A small balcony overlooking the road and the local square. Great for a drink and seeing the local activities and people watching. Breakfast was excellent, including different cold choices each day, savoury and sweet pies, scrambled egg, local cheese and bread, cereal, freshly squeezed orange juice, and coffee. All served on the upstairs patio with wonderful views of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. There are several local restaurants in easy walking distance, our favourite was Ma Che Bontà. The small bar in the square was perfect for post day out and pre dinner drinks. La Cascina Di Seiano, the food shop just below the apartment sold a wonderful selection of fresh food, beers, wines and coffee. Well everything really!! If you are going out for the day, get your fresh, huge sandwiches here. The location is perfect for visiting local sites using the train station, a 10min walk downhill. Easy access to Sorrento and Pompeii etc. but no cash, you need to buy pre-paid tickets or as we did just use a different credit card per person to check in at the station and check out at the destination. If you are lucky, you might even get a seat😊 Kevin was wonderful - super friendly and helpful with all our queries. He was particularly helpful when our taxi driver let us down on check out. We would have missed our train connection to Rome without his assistance. Many thanks Kevin and Ciro. We had a fantastic stay and hope to see you again.
My day of heatstroke😞but nothing to do with VV

Verified reviewWe stayed 6 nights and really enjoyed both the property and the location. Vico Equense & Seiano are less touristy than nearby Sorrento which is great. It’s a short walk to the train and is centrally located to many of the activities in the area. The room was very comfortable, the view from our balcony was wonderful, and Kevin was a gracious and helpful host. The breakfast were delicious and the view from the terrace was spectacular each morning.

Verified reviewVesuvio View is an absolutely gorgeous hotel in the quiet village of Seiano. Our room was large, sparkling clean, beautifully styled, and very comfortable. Kevin couldn’t be a more warm or welcoming host! The breakfast was also varied and fresh, and the view from the terrace cannot be beat. Since it’s just a short walk from the train station, it’s the perfect place to stay if you’re visiting Pompeii but would like to enjoy a sea view as well.
Nothing.

Verified reviewVesuvio View is an absolute gem of a bed and breakfast. You will not find better views from the bedroom balcony and the breakfast terrace looking out over the bay and Vesuvio. Our room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable with immaculate bedding. Plenty of towels, a fridge and a kettle to make that necessary cup of tea. We were worried that the location might have been noisy but this was not the case. Our host Kevin was so charming and very helpful providing us with excellent breakfasts including fresh pastries, scrambled eggs and yummy cakes, freshly squeezed orange juice, tea and coffee. He even made a special trip to the supermarket to source organic green tea for me. We were so glad that we chose to stay in Seiano rather than Sorrento, which on visiting we found to be heaving with tourists and tourist shops. Vesuvio View is a ten minute walk down to the station where you can pick up the local train service between Naples and Sorrento. You can easily take the train to Pompei. There is no booking office at the station, just tap your credit card at the machine and remember to tap again on your return. Cost is an unbelievable 2.40 euros for unlimited travel. British railways take note! For those travellers who are fit, there is an ancient and steep pathway down to the local beach, where you can access a public beach, good restaurants and a booking kiosk for a ferry to Capri, which leaves from Seiano beach. If you find the path to the beach too steep, take the train to Vico Equense ( one stop only) and take the bus to Seiano beach (the bus station is adjacent to the train station). There are some excellent restaurants within walking distance from Vesuvio View.
There are quite a few flights of stairs up to the bed and breakfast from the entrance, but without climbing up these stairs there would be no view.

Verified reviewThe location is great, very close to seiano train station(7 min walk), and sorrento is 10 min by the train. We were at "positano" room, which had little balcony with sea view. The room was perfect - very clean, big, great shower and toilet. Kevin the owner was amazing! Helped us with every question, was always available, and even help me and washed my dirty pants and removed the hard stains. The breakfest was really good and the veiw from the balcony is gorgeous! when we checked out Kevin gave us a little gift, and it was really nice from him. I really really recommend!

Verified reviewThe breakfast was excellent , the location was good ,3 stops from sorrento by train, the host Kevin helped us a lot, he's very prophesional and a friendly guy.
Taxis are difficult and expensive in all areas, but the accommodation was excellent, as long as stairs are not a problem to you, but there are steps everywhere in the sorrento area .

Verified reviewVesuvius View is a gem in the Vico Equense area. It’s easy to get to from Seiano train station and Seiano port is also a short walk. There are great restaurants, a bar and mini market in easy reach and the delights of Vico Equense town centre are also easily accessible. The views from the sparkling clean room and balcony and the breakfast terrace are incredible. The delicious breakfast and friendly hosts are icing on the cake. Comfy bed, quality linen, hot shower - all boxes ticked. Loved our stay here. You can easily use it as a base for visiting Sorrento, Pompeii, and other places in the Bay of Naples. We travelled without a car. Would definitely stay here again.

Verified reviewGreat location away from the tourist hell of Sorrento and only 400 metres from the train station. Very steep walk to the beach but mostly in shade. Kevin is amazing and surprisingly for a Kevin, Italian. So helpful. On top of all that, the view of Mount Vesuvius from the balcony explains how it got its name and it is truly spectacular. If you are considering staying in Sorrento, don’t! Stay here instead. Sorrento is a quick train hop away so easy to get to (as are dozens of other places due to train station proximity and it’s exceptionally cheap with tap-in tap-out ticketing that’s as simple as it gets). There are 3 restaurants right next to the place, a bar and a good shop. Plenty more by the beach if you’re prepared for a hilly walk.
The room was much more green than I can normally tolerate. Like, very green. Very minor issue though to be fair.

Verified reviewWe had a very enjoyable stay at Vesuvio View, our host Kevin was charming and so helpful. His friendliness and willingness to help was so much appreciated. The room was spotless and comfortable and we especially enjoyed watching the traffic chaos from our balcony above! Kevin arranged for our car to be parked in a private garage just 1 minute away and even opened early for breakfast one day when we needed to leave very early for a planned day trip. Thank you Kevin for your hospitality and help, it was very much appreciated.
There was nothing not to like!

Verified reviewWe had a really good time both in the village and in the hotel which was very comfortable. The owner and his partner were attentive and extremely helpful throughout the stay, exceptionally so. The views are stunning both from the bedroom private balconies and the breakfast terrace. Linen changed regularly, of high quality and rooms airy and well ventilated both with doors and A/C.
There is no lift so be aware that the stairs are there, at 77 it was very good for me, and by the end of the stay I am really pleased to report that the Amalfi hills and vales as well as the stairs were absolutely no problem. I recommend that the owners consider adding a savoury element to the stunning traditional sweeter breakfast content for those, like me, who don't have such a sweet tooth.
