Villa Gemma was a totally delightful stay. The husband/wife proprietors were very hospitable and kind. Our room was large, decorated beautifully, very comfortable bed. Location was walkable to all the attractions. Breakfast was very ample.

The b&b is family run and you are made to feel very welcome. The location is perfect, just a short stroll to the old town, approx 5 mins. The rooms are clean and comfortable, keeping the charm of the period of the villa, but still having modern comforts such as streaming services on the TV. Due to its location it was very quiet even though our room faced the road. The breakfast was plentiful with a good selection of sweet and savoury items. But what really stood out for us was the evening meal, I cannot recommend it enough, please try if you are staying. The food was great, all local dishes, lovingly prepared and explained. We sat in the car park which sounds odd but honestly it was really nice, very typical Italian. We really hope to stay again.

Everything was just perfect, the room was spotlessly clean, the host helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was good, you couldn’t wish for more. Parking was in the private yard of the villa. We had a great stay here.

excellent breakfast & Lisa's fabulous home cooked dinner (extra charge) with wine . 10 minute walk to san Vitale ; number 70 bus to station outside property . Stefano offered to drive us to station . I can see no reason to stay anywhere else in Ravenna .

We wish that the owners could have told us that there were window screens available in the room, as well as anti-mosquitos repellent lights on the day when we checked in. For that reason, our first night was mostly unsettled due to the attacks of mosquitoes. So, the next morning when we mentioned about it at the breakfast room, there was another couple who had the same experience. They also got mosquito bites on the first night. They asked the owners and were told that there were screens in the room. My wife, who usually attracks insects, suffered a bit as she got bitten especially on her arms and hands. The red swollen bite marks and the unbearable itching lasted for almost 5 days.

It’s a nice house on a non busy street, so it’s not noisy. It is within a walking distance to the old city, a very convenient location. The room is spacious and the shower is good. Breakfast is included and good selections of food.

The breakfast was excellent. There was a very wide choice of meats and cheeses, cereals and bread etc…… You could have fruit and yogurt and many more delicious foods. We also enjoyed an amazing dinner on the night we stayed too, cooked by the hosts. Delicious food and wine presented with care and attention to detail. Excellent!!!

Great, wonderful, very pleasant stay in this family hotel. Rooms are very nice with interesting design, clean and have new equipment. Breakfast is very good. The parking place is insuit behind the gates that are locked at night. The host family are very friendly and helpful. They gave us very important and useful information accomplishing with some maps and brochures. Villa Gemma is a10-minute-walk to the historical centre. We highly recommend to stay there.

The owners are great. The accommodation is completely renovated and a short distance from the center. Be sure to try their dinner. The hostess will prepare delicious local dishes for you. You can charge your electric car.

The Villa Gemma is a beautiful and calm location to stay. But the most overwhelming were the hosts! Simone and the whole family make you feel very welcome and at home. If they offer a homemade dinner - do not hesitate to take it - it is a fresh, italian and creative - Simones wife (sorry was it Lena?) is a wonderful cook! Could not get a taxi at the train station, so had difficulty finding alternative way of getting to the hotel. In the end we caught a local bus and the driver stopped right outside the guest house.

Family owned business where everyone went out of they way to help. Dinner presented by son and daughter in law just lovely and breakfast the same.

The location was great - a short walk to the center of Ravenna so you saw local people from Ravenna going about their day. The 70 bus goes by the house and takes you to train station and Marina. There is a bike rental place next to the train station - for my next visit ! Gemma and her brother Simone were very welcoming and Simone's wife cooked up a fabulous dinner which was nice have after a long day of walking. Very much a family run place. They had a celebration for their BnB opening - wishing you every success
