We had a cold first night, there was no extra banket available in the room. The next night was comfortable with the extra blanket provided by the staff. We also found the water to be luke warm at the most, which was a bit uncomfortable and unexpected when showering. There was no difference in water temperature for evening or morning showers. So water temperature doesn't seem to be an issue of water use but more off heat setting? If it's a solar boiler, that isn't very nice anymore this time of year. The matras could be renewed, because it had two big pits.

The villa & garden are just stunning. The room was very spacious and decorated with care. We were picked up and dropped off at the train station, which was very nice since it would have been a 15 minute walk with our luggage. Communication was easy and fast with the staff. And the litter of a bit older kittens were just so cute!

This villa is probably the most beautiful place in Scalea: historic building, big garden, delicious breakfast under the trees, very helpful and friendly staff. Close to the old town and the sea. I highly recommend staying in this villa if you come to Scalea. Diana

Beautiful villa with garden. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite. Everything was perfect. Breakfast was lovely- we were asked for our preferences and they brought it out! Parking in the back of the villa. I will definitely be coming back!

No elevator, if bring ling lots of bags be ready to lift them up the stairs.

Everything is perfect service, food the fact that fruits are from their yard, all freshly made.

I always enjoy staying at this location. I always ask to not have room service as I am only there for a short duration and prefer to enjoy Scalea. The staff is always pleasant and very helpful. It is a location I will continue to stay at for the times I visit Scalea.

Loved it all

Staying in a grand 19th Century villa was fun. The balconies, rooms, including the communal sitting and library rooms complete with beautiful period furniture were classic. We also appreciated the very modern stylish marble style bathroom. The huge garden grounds, hedge isolated within the bustling town was a marvel. Just the breakfast nook with its jasmine, trees and hedges was far larger than my own suburban garden. Agnes, our host prepared our delightful breakfast and answered our questions. Highly recommended.

Breakfast - it was one of the worst we had on the 3 weeks vacation. It was basic but also not good quality food (for Italian standards). I would recommend to improve it at least a bit as it's a place with great potential.

Villa itself - historical place with a lot of great features. Size of the room. Location, 10min walk to the beach and old town. Very friendly lady at the check in. Great garden and you can hear all the birds in the middle of the town when you wake up - very peaceful. Easy access.

The standard room on the 3rd floor was downright disappointing. It would have been good if the common rooms on the first floor, which were very nice, and the common parlor on the second floor were air conditioned.

Our family stayed in 2 rooms. The 2 room suite was fabulous. See standard room, below. The breakfasts were excellent (spremuta rather than box juices would have made it a 10).

Beautiful old Villa in a wonderful Garden. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. In touch with us prior to arrival through Whatsapp to coordinate everything. Breakfast in the garden was super relaxing. Food quality was very good, fresh and varied. The rooms were very well appointed and all looked of good quality. All appliances worked perfectly incl A/C, shower, etc. would highly recommend and would love to stay again.

Booking.Com indicated it was beachfront but it is several blocks from the beach.

It is a beautiful old Villa on a large parcel of land in town. The size of the room was awesome, bed was very comfortable, location was great to town and to the beach. Staff was excellent and was very helpful when we had questions. The bathroom looked like it had been recently remodeled and was beautiful. The terrace was good size but unfortunately it was too cold that day/night to use. Breakfast had a lot of options.

Loved everything except the stairs, unavoidable.

Beautiful oasis in the city, walking distance to the piazza, market and the central storico. Fresh fruit and vegetable market set up every day right across the street. Breakfast was awesome, fresh croissants and fruit, cappuccino and or juice. The staff was very attentive and gracious!
