An absolutely beautiful hotel. The room was beautiful. Huge with fantastic views of the ocean. The staff were wonderful. Very helpful and caring. There was a rooftop terrace which we used for a great pizza night with drinks which were obtained within walking distance. A spectacularly gorgeous room with old world charm and beautifully detailed. Highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

We had an incredible stay at this unique bed & breakfast in Messina. The house, once the home of Carlo Rodriguez, a pioneer in hydrofoil design, is full of character and history. The rooms are charming and comfortable, and the atmosphere gives you a real sense of the building’s fascinating past. The location is fantastic — not far from the Regional Museum of Messina, where you can admire amazing works by Caravaggio and Antonello da Messina. The hosts were welcoming and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. Perfect for anyone who appreciates history, art, and a memorable experience. Highly recommended!

Street car noise

The room was beautiful, we were upgraded to a suite and it was exceptional. The views fantastic. It faces a major street so the car noise is loud. Perfect location and the host very accommodating, as we were arriving early.

I'll be honest there's nothing about this hotel I dislike. However, an improvement that should be made is that a restaurant should be inside where your able to eat local sicilian food...

A perfect Sicilian gem! My stay in Messina was made unforgettable thanks to this incredible hidden gem. From the moment I arrived, the staff welcomed me and my mum with a splending cup of coffee. The room was immaculate, thoughtfully designed, and offered every comfort I could ask for. And the view? Absolutely breathtaking overlooking the sparkling waters of Messina port. Every single detail inside felt like I had gone back in time due to the resoration of the villa. This hotel is a true highlight of Messina, and I wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else. There is some road noise that can be quite loud at times, but not much the facility can do about that.

The location is stunning and the house is beautiful. The beds are extremely comfortable and the Italian charm throughout the building is breathtaking! I really enjoyed my stay!

We had an amazing stay here. The staff was extremely hospitable, the room was very comfy and clean, and the house was very large and definitely lived up to its name. I was thrilled going up to the rooftop terrace and enjoying the view.

Nothing, everything was great!

Beautiful old building with gorgeous rooms, the junior suite was HUGE with an outdoor terrace and the deluxe room had water views, both rooms were gorgeous with beautiful high ceilings! We only had 1 night but the location was great as it was right at the tram line that takes you where ever you need! Host was very helpful too!

A fabulous property, our room (we booked the suite) was spacious and beautifully decorated. The sea views from the balcony were lovely. Guiseppe was particularly helpful, he made restaurant recommendations and bookings and gave us information about getting around Messina and the sights. We particularly enjoyed the art museum and the beach at Torre Faro.

Compared to the room, the breakfast was mediocre, but that was not a problem at all! The room was absolutely stunning, with 2 private patios. We were absolutely awestruck with the accommodation.

Very beautiful building in messina, lots of character and interesting features. We were upgraded to a suite which was huge! Massive bath and walk in wardrobe! The staff went above and beyond, including booking us restaurants and helping with parking. Breakfast was lovely and lots of space to sit outside.

The staff and the room were very nice. I would easily come back to stay if I didn't live on the other side of the world. Pharmacy and general stores are less than a block away. Most restaurants are about a 10min walk away but you can feel good knowing your walking some of those carbs off. Staff were only 1 message away from answering any questions you might have about anything regarding the hotel, location, restaurant, tours, etc.
