Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaYou should be aware that as a Guest House, there is minimal staff around - but they are nonetheless very helpful when needed. Breakfast is just curry, rice and toast with jams - this was fine for us!
Very close to the bus stop if you are arriving by bus. Very cute, cosy European alpine ski lodge vibes. Sauna is nice, the cold plunge pool too if you're brave enough, and there is a small sento/onsen-like bathtub with the showers also.

United Stateswi fi & coffee in the apartment
The 2 room apartment was located in a 14 story building across the street from the Heidi House location. It was not exactly as we expected but proved to be very comfortable and spacious for a japanese accomodation. The walk across the street to the main guest house is needed to use the sauna and cold plunge pool (which is awesome), as well as breakfast and coffee, etc. The only complaint I had with the apartment was there is no wi fi other than in a dark 2nd floor lounge area. There and in the guest house at Heidi - so with a teenage family member that created some grumpiness. But the view of the mountain and the small kitchen made up for it since we were able to buy some simple food items at the Prince Hotel convenience store. I would have preferred a coffee maker so that the lobby level vending machine was not the only option for morning coffee (other than walking to the guest house of course). There is a good rental shop across the road as well, and that proved cheaper and better quality offerings than the hotel rental shop. They are friendly and will drop you and your group off at the mountain as well as pick up at the end of the day. You can walk there too, but it is about 10 min and in ski boots not ideal. I also recommend the small Izakaya for dinner and beer, it is also next door to the Heidi guest house and appeared to be run by father and son. It was great and a truly authentic japanese experience. They have an english menu but only accept cash.

JapanOur room had only one heater and it was not enough for the size. (outside temp was around -3 celsius) These were not in the description but wished there were tissue, wifi in the room, more room keys (had to share one room key between 7 of us), spoon/fork/chopstick and shaving tools provided as it would have improved our stay.
Location, view, room was nice and quite.

JapanI thought the outdoor bath was hot but actually it was a cold water bath so it was disappointing for us. Having lots of experience staying in similar accommodations in Japan we felt it was a little overpriced for the kind of service provided (no meals and no outdoor hot bath, no private toilet/ location wise).

JapanFirst of all, although from the map it looks very close to the naeba ski resort, it probably took more than 15 mins by walk, especially during heavy snow and with equipment, and the apartment is located on a slope, which means if you don't have car, moving in and out with luggage is quite troublesome. Even if you drive, you need to park your car at the guesthouse across the street instead of downstairs, so probably staying at the guesthouse is better than the apartment. Second, the heater is only located in the corner of the living room, and there's no heater in the other part of the apartment, and it gets super cold during the night in the rooms. And some of our friends found it too cold that they need to sleep in the living room instead. Third, there are no cooking utensils and tableware at all, which is kind of meaningless to book an apartment if you are not able to do your own cooking. Fourth, the water pressure in the bathroom is quite weak, after the first night, all of us just went to the hot spring to take a bath instead. And the sofa is quite dangerous, if you lie back, it will trip over..... oh, and no wifi at all
There are towel, toothbrush and paper cups provided in the apartment.

AustraliaI had no complaints about this property, although the curry served every morning might become repetitive for long-term stays.
My favourite is the combination of sauna and cold bath. I also enjoy a hot bath after snowboarding. The staff are very helpful.

Thailandwe rent the entire apartment for family but they not provided any dish, cup for water, spoon, fork neither disposable chopsticks. we cannot drink/eat what we've bought. the paper hand towel they left us only small amount for the whole family (the height less than1 cm) about shampoo/body soap are in sachet ONE per person (what if we need to use it at night 1 and in the morning before check out?) no bottle of hand soap to wash your hands if you'd like to clean your hand so you need to open up the sachet of body soap. also no foot mat what we should do after shower ? wait to dry? For the location we can find the main building in google map but during heavy and thick snow we faced little struggle to find the entrance in order to check in. after checked in we gotta walk to the xxx apartment (not far away) but the walk way during winter time was very slipery and steep dangerously to climb especially for eldery. the surrounding of this town it realy hard to find convenience store either the restaurant to eat (the 1st restaurant we went accept only japanese not welcome foreigner at all).
there are rooms and futons enough for our group
