Wow, wow, wow! Our stay at Seven Pillars was simply perfect. The whole villa was exceptionally decorated and the garden was beautiful. Our bedrooms were cool and comfortable to retreat to. Sharlini (the owner), was an absolute pleasure to deal with from before we made our booking, during our stay and afterwards - organising so many details that made our trip extra-special, thank you.😊 Imalka and team took great care of us during our stay, cooking the most delicious Sri Lankan breakfasts and accommodating our requests. Staying at Seven Pillars was the ideal way to explore Galle Forte and to begin our Sri Lankan adventure.

No complaints. Hard to fault.

Perfect central location, a serene oasis after a hot day out. The decor is simple and beautiful, in the Dutch style. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Our hosts, Imalka, Anjali and Champa provided continental or Sri Lankan breakfast (the latter was delicious) and an evening meal if requested. They were charming, gentle and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would be happy to visit again

Beatiful building in a great location inside the fort. Imalki was a wonderful help. Lucky enough to be the only ones there so had the place to ourselves. Very much a place to stay.

Nothing, it was perfect.

We absolutely loved our recent stay at Seven Pillars in Galle Fort. Communication with the owner was excellent. The butler Imalka and his wife Anjali provided excellent care, and I loved my visit to the fish market and supermarket with Imalka to source the ingredients for a delicious dinner that he and his wife cooked for us. The house is stunning and its location is fabulous. Everything is literally on your doorstep, so it’s a perfect base for exploring Galle Fort. Once you’re inside the house it is very calm, quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked. We would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful property.

Nothing- everything was perfect.

Seven pillars was for us the outstanding accommodations. Located in the Galle Fort in charming historic colonial villa which is beautifully decorated with old furniture, giving it a wonderful sense of history and character. Despite its age, it was very comfortable and very well equipped. (Books, games for entertainment, TV,…..). The inner courtyard is green and peaceful. Imalka was a great host – friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and perfectly served in style. Communication with owner Sharlini was great.

This is a beautiful mansion right in the middle of GALLE. A perfect retreat with white glove service. The staff was loving and kind and prepared exquisite meals served professionally. The house is spotless. The garden is peaceful. Every detail is considered. You will be so happy to stay here.

Absolutely outstanding property - beautifully decorated throughout and so spacious the 4 is us staying there could have avoided each other for the 3 days we stayed there. Marvellous staff - delicious breakfasts each day and a fantastic home cooked meal on our last night. Sharlini the owner was lovely to deal with throughout. The pictures - marvellous as though they are - don’t really do it justice and though the most expensive place we stayed in our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka, Seven Pillars was by the far the best. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Galle Fort and we would love to return on day

Absolutely beautiful property, spoke with the owner, who seemed friendly and really wanted us to enjoy Galle Fort, gave me lots of information. Imalka, her man at the house, was a marvel. One of only a few, still standing, houses in Galle Fort. I’m sorry I didn’t take any internal photos, the house is very beautiful, three bed, three bath, tv room, lounge, dining room. We loved it.

The most beautiful and aesthetically pleasing property I’ve ever stayed at. The location, the facilities, the service was all top notch. Imalka took such great care of us and was extremely gracious. Can’t wait to come back with our extended family. Please don’t think twice before booking this place for your stay at Galle.

Seven Pillars is a wonderfully proportioned villa with high ceilings, tasteful furnishings & a serene atmosphere. The inner courtyard is lush & restful, & the bedrooms & bathrooms spacious & comfortable. Imalka the butler & the other staff were highly professional & cooked absolutely delicious meals for us, served at the expansive dining table with ‘all the trimmings’. We truly felt like royalty. For a relaxing escape from the heat & bustle I can’t think of a better place.

What a beautiful exquisitely decorated property. Positioned in the very heart of the fascinating Galle Fort district we had access to everything by foot. Imalka was attentive, impeccably presented and gracious, made us lovely breakfasts and accommodated us however we needed. If we had stayed longer we would certainly have availed ourselves of his home cooked meals. Communication with the host and with Imalka was always prompt and addressed any question. I wish we could have stayed for a month! Rhank you so much for having us, the whole experience was a treat!
