Nalin was an amazing host! He made suggestions for what we could do whilst in Ella, organised transport for to enable us to do it and arranged transport for our ongoing travel. He suggested a venue for a cooking class which was excellent. And as everyone has mentioned breakfasts were spectacular!!

Peaceful location, easy access to train station, feels like a bit of un-touristy Ella but our host had great contacts for tuk tuks. Friendly, informative and generous host. Incredible breakfast, you have to have it, we were so full. Fruit is delicious.

Not a problem for us but be aware that the place is a little bit far away (15/20min) to the center and that the street that leads to the place is very steep.

Well, breakfast and dinner were literally amazing, I think ones of the best meals we had all over Sri Lanka. It is immersed in the nature in a very nice place. There are only two rooms and this keeps a very relaxed and calm atmosphere. The room and the bathroom are amazing, big and with all the necessary. View is special, I will never forget it. And the host is super kind and helpful.

There are only two things we enjoyed less. First, the distance from the hotel to the main street. It takes about 15 minutes of walking uphill along the road to get there, so we highly recommend using tuk-tuk services instead. Second, the access path to the hotel is quite steep and not suitable for everyone. We believe adding a handrail or some stairs could make it easier. For young and healthy travelers this shouldn’t be a problem, but for others it might be a challenge.

The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking! We stayed in a corner room with a perfect view of the mountains, and it truly had everything: monkeys, squirrels, giant squirrels, beautiful birds, cows, and more. Breakfast was simply wonderful and very well prepared. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. But above all, the highlight of our stay was the host’s outstanding sense of hospitality. He always knew exactly what to recommend, when to check in with us, and even served and cleared food with the warmest smile and perfect timing.

Ella Secret Paradise is a great place to stay when in Ella. Walkable to town and in a beautiful green shaded area. Nalin the owner has put alot of thought and effort into the rooms. Very well designed and furnished. Even has a bar fridge. Beautiful bedding. Breakfast was also extremely good. Nalin was very helpful when we needed restaurant suggestions, tuk tuk transport etc

Nalin is the best host! He knows a lot about Ella and all the activities, restaurants etc. He also made the best Sri Lankan breakfast with a lot of choices. Really the best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka. We loved it! Clean room, location 10-15 minutes walking from the centre. Everything was amazing!

We had a fantastic stay at Ella Secret Paradise. Only 10 mins walk to the centre but nestled away in a cozy quiet location. Nalin, the owner is really amazing. He went over and beyond to make our stay perfect. He made the most delicious breakfast and it was nice to have different options for every day. Breakfast was plentiful and filled us up way beyond lunch! The room itself was spacious, clean and comfy! It was so nice being surrounded by nature. Couldn't recommend this place enough. We hope to be back again soon!

Naln and his hospitality are simply the best I've encountered. If you haven't booked to stay here yet, please don't hesitate. Yes, it's up and down very steep slopes but I have every faith that Naln will find a way for you to make it safely to and from Ella Secret Paradise.

Without a doubt Ella Secret Paradise will be in our hearts forever. We're already planning what a return will look like in the future. For a start it will be more than one night's stay in this perfectly named beautiful hidden gem. The room and amenities were all lovely, as described and as expected but the pictures do not convey just how stunning the surroundings are. Naln's choice in decor made the room feel high end while his welcome makes you feel like a part of the family (but he does his job and leaves you be) He was ready to help us from the station if we needed the help (we had a driver) The breakfast has already been reviewed by others and I promise it is as every bit as they say. Without a doubt, the best breakfast I have EVER had in my 53 years on planet earth. Fresh fruit platter or smoothie (my chap is not a fruit fan at all, but he was chugging on the smoothie much to my surprise). The surroundings made the experience all the better, with birds and other animal calls, accompanying our meal.

The place is serene, calm, tranquil, a perfect place for a perfect holiday. The nature is beautiful. The place is located on the top of muntain, surrounded on one side by tea plantations and other side by lush green forest. We couldn’t stop admiring the beautify of the place. The breakfast is the best ever we have eaten with multiple courses, including great tea, fresh mixed fruit juice, great authentic srilankan breakfast and finishing with yoghurt with honey. The host is great, helping, caring and always asking if we need something. He went out of way to help us in booking our travels, providing next locations and suggesting us about ever other things we asked. Summing up, cool place, cool guy and highly recommended to chose this one over all the other options. Cheers buddy :)

We loved our stay here! Breakfast was delicious and very generous portions! Host was so lovely and helpful, suggesting plans to do and places to eat etc. Room was very comfortable and there is a very cute cat that visited us on the terrace often :) location is slightly further away from the main town but makes the stay very peaceful. And easy to walk in 15 mins or tuk tuk in a few mins. Would definitely recommend!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Naln looked after us throughout. Charming guy. Very thoughtful and helpful. The place is well named, a perfect hidden oasis. Simple, comfortable rooms surrounded by beautiful gardens set within the hills a short tuk-tuk ride, or a 10-15 min walk from bustling Ella.

Ella's Secret Paradise has everything you need. You wake up each morning surrounded by nature, birds chirping and are provided the best breakfast of Sri Lanka. The place is quiet, but only a brief walk away from the city centre of Ella. Would highly recommend staying here!

Our stay at Ella secret paradise was one of the highlights of our trip to Sri Lanka. Nalin is really friendly and welcoming. The house is in a unique location, right in the heart of the jungle. The homemade food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend staying there to anyone visiting the area.

The owner of the property is a real sweetheart, open to adjust anything according to your needs and ready to give you great tips about what to do. The breakdast was exquisite, always fresh. Bit of construction going on during working hours next door but not really enough of an issue to dampen the stay.

Cool spot. Our room has the nice balcony which we were really happy about. Nalin is a good dude and makes a great breakfast. Really recommend the Sri Lankan breakfast with roti, dahl curry and coconut sambal. Short tuk tuk ride to/from the main town so convenient location away from the noise. There is an awesome friendly cat as well that we called Mr. Biscuits. He will appreciate your lap if you offer it for cuddles.

It is really a great stay. The host is very hospitable and very helpful. The hospitality, the breakfast, and the communications, the whole experience is comparable of a five star hotel. Very quite with natural sound. You can hear the crickets sound in the evening and birds sound in the morning. And I saw a squirrel after breakfast(Really a Secret Paradise).

Very clean and lovely private accommodation. Located between tea plantations and the centre is a short walk away (you can also take a tuk tuk for 2-3 minutes). The owner of the house is very kind and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty. Our favourite place and we will definitely come back :) We recommend it!

We had an amazing stay here for 3 nights. The location is perfect. It´s near the city and the train station. The host gave us a lot of recommendations on what to do around Ella and even provided us with a good scooter. We had delicious, large portion of local breakfast. It´s an easy 10/10 recommendation.

Beautiful and calm place to stay, 10 minutes walk into City Center Ella. It was our best stay in Sri Lanka so far. The owner is very nice and helpful and made the best Sri Lankien Breakfast! It was very clean and the bed really cozy. Jungle Feeling at its best! Thank you for everything! Next time we surely come back.
