I stayed at Maduranga N Guest in Mirissa, and it was truly beyond my expectations. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully maintained, with a nice bathroom equipped with all the necessary amenities. I especially loved the balcony area, which even had a small dining setup—perfect for relaxing meals with a view. The location couldn’t be better—just a few minutes’ walk from Secret Beach and close to shops and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared every morning. The caretaker, along with his wife and child, were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. Overall, it was a wonderful and affordable stay that offered comfort, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mirissa.

Lovely guest house, the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Lovely breakfast that they serve outside your room. The beach is a few minutes walk away. It’s a basic guest house that is clean and in a good location. Would highly recommend.

The place is run by a hardworking lady who is really sweet and very helpful. She made my stay super comfortable and also helped me with money exchange. The room had a fan, ac and a mini fridge. Equivalent of a good 3 star hotel. Would totally recommend you to stay here. Walking distance from Mirissa beach and a lot of good restaurants.

We had a great stay here! The people were incredibly friendly, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver, especially given how hot it was during our stay. The breakfast was decent—nothing special, but it got us going for the day. The coffee, unfortunately, wasn’t the best. One of the biggest perks was the location—so close to the beach, making it easy to enjoy the seaside whenever we wanted. The owner was also super helpful, arranging a taxi service to the airport for us. It was very convenient and reasonably priced, especially after two weeks of traveling around Sri Lanka by bus and train. They also offer tuk-tuk service, dinner, and laundry, which we didn’t need during our stay, but it’s definitely good to know if you're looking for those services. However, there were a few downsides. There was a bad smell in the bathroom, which was a bit off-putting. We also didn’t have a mosquito net, and when we tried to open the window, some mosquitoes made their way in. Additionally, there were a few ants in the bathroom. Despite these small issues, overall, this was a really good stay with great value for money. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for comfort and convenience.

Cold AC. Very friendly hosts. Family run is the way to go in Sri Lanka. Clean, kept up to date, cozzy, good breakfast, few minutes from the beach. We were suppose to stay in Weligama but left to stay in Marissa last minute and they were glad to welcome us :)

We booked this last minute as an extra night on the basis that it was very affordable. We did not have high expectations however Maduranga n Guest was a delight. It was clean, quiet, comfortable and the staff were really friendly. We could easily have stayed longer comfortably. Highly recommended for either a single night or longer

I loved everything.

Exceeded expectations! Everything you could need in the bedroom. Really comfy bed, clean room and bathroom and fabulous view from the balcony. Really nice breakfast and excellent location. Highly recommended for solo as well as other travellers.
