Our room had no windows and we had to use the light even during the daytime which was a downside to the whole stay.

Located in a good area, little walking distance to the beach, delicious breakfast. Massage chair and common area with bean bags great for recharging. Overall pleasant area and space, super friendly staff in the restaurant area!

There was a slight sewage smell in the bathroom, but not terrible.

Super clean and lovely design. I finally felt like I was in a decent hotel after many basic homestays. I felt looked after, the massage chair was a blessing, and the breakfast was fantastic. Would definitely recommend especially after more intense travels to relax a bit. :) Oh and the WiFi is very good.

Wow!!! What a wonderful stay. I can understand why you have so many good reviews! This place was beautiful, from the second we arrived to we left. Firstly.. location! Perfect, away from the noise and main road around 10 minute walk to main road, but u pass several restaurants and a supermarket! on the way, Less that 10 minute walk too the beach. When we arrived we were greeted with a lovely drink, then room, the room was BEAUTIFUL! Soooo clean, massive bed, tv, nice bright clean colours, lovely huge bathroom, hot shower, bright lights, and a kitchen ( unexpected) fridge, cooking utensils, sink etc! There is a nice clean rooftop pool, and also a wonderful breakfast the following day ( personally the breakfasts I feel are the same most places ) This place is a little more per night to some others we stayed, but it is definitely worth the extra.

- Bathroom floor gets very slippy when wet, which is every time you shower due to it being a wet room, so please be cautious.

- Really nice peaceful location - Pool is clean and relaxing (too small to swim in) - staff are friendly, welcoming and happy to help - good choice of breakfast (à la cart) and very tasty - Big, clean rooms with plenty of space to hang clothes

Our stay was just perfect - and in fact we added an extra night to our stay as we liked it so much. The rooms were lovely, the staff extremely helpful, great breakfast. The hotel is only a short walk from the beach in a quiet location. It’s also only a short walk from the harbour where all the whale watching boats.

Everything was perfect

We absolutely loved our stay at Mimoza Mirissa. The staff is exceptionally friendly, always smiling and ready to help. The breakfast is excellent, with the choice between a traditional Sri Lankan option or a Western one. Our room was extremely comfortable – the most comfortable room we had in Sri Lanka – and everything worked perfectly. On our departure day, they kindly allowed us to leave our luggage at reception and even use the pool and the guest shower before leaving. Everything was truly excellent!

Absolutely nothing.

The whole property was awesome and staff also. The idea of small private hotel (only 7 rooms) is ideal for delivering services in good quality. The room was clean and cozy, everything what you expect and need is here or can be prepared for you. Also kitchen was pretty nice, two types of breakfast (western and sri lankan) and dinner or lunch can be prepared too.

Nothing I could fault with this hotel, I only regret not booking longer. We only booked 2 nights here as we were booking our accommodation as we went along. They were booked out when we tried to extend our stay 😒

This was by far the best place we have stayed so far in Sri Lanka and the least expensive. Breakfasts were so good, the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Mimosa Mirissa is all about cleanliness, comfort and customer care. When we arrived, they welcomed us with fresh juices and a liqueur. They informed us about the access to the nearby beaches. We were able on choosing European breakfast instead of a Sri Lankan one. Our room also had its own kitchen with all the necessary equipment to cook if needed. The pool was really clean and had a really nice view to the surrounding hill. At the day of our check out we were able to access and enjoy the premises- pool included. They even have a guest wash room which we used before continuing our road trip. Thank you!

Shower was part of bathroom and needed to mop away water but not a big deal. The courtyard is a bit cluttered with tuk tuks and vehicles but again only a minor point for a very good stay.

It's a good mid-range hotel with helpful staff and a really good breakfast. The beds are very comfortable. The pool area is small but very nice. Fruit juice on arrival was a nice touch. Enjoyed the stay.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise! It’s a very new-looking establishment with a fresh, modern vibe. The staff were welcoming and professional — we were even greeted with whiskey shots along with the welcome drink, which was a fun and unique touch. The room was comfy, well-facilitated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth the price. Would happily stay here again!
