Lovely single cottage above the breakfast area. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony looking at the beautiful view. The hosts were all very helpful with giving us recommendations for things to do and arranging transport for us for a very reasonable price.

We loved the view from the restaurant and from the room itself. A real green oasis. The room is spacious and well equipped. The breakfast was exceptional! But what we liked most was the kindness of the hosts who did everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, even spontaneously organized a birthday cake, thank you so much!!! Also for the transportation to our next location, which went very smoothly and pleasant.

Rock View Cottage was such a pleasant stay! The staff was very very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and clean, and the view from our balcony was stunning. Breakfast was also great. Location is also in close proximity to the main street with all the bars and restaurants. Would highly recommend!

The property is up the hill of Ella town, with a marvelous view of Ella Rock and Little Adam’s Peak. The rock view cottage is the only room above the owner’s restaurant and usually very popular. The team is so kind and very helpful to help arranging tuktuk and laundry services for us. The breakfast is also so good with all kinds of fruit and local snacks and eggs. Really a great stay recommended for everyone.

We were so lucky to have booked this beautiful property. Set high on the hill above Ella it was just magical. The views from our room were so good with little Adams Peak and Ella Rock in the distance. The family who rum this were so good and went out of their way to make your holiday special. We did the train from Ella to Namo Oya and then went onto a tea plantation. We climbed Little Adams Peak and went to Nine Arch Bridge. In the evenings we went into Ella and enjoyed some great food there. If this place has availability just book it. You'll love it.

Bath room mat and floor mats were visibly dirty - they explained everything was „vacuum cleaned“, yes… but it would have needed a 60 degree wash 😉. The room light is either to dim or to intense to read in the bed. The bath room is a bit worn down and there is hardly any water pressure. But this should not hinder to go as the owners are really cute!

Very good atmosphere, relaxing music during breskfast, incredibly nice brothers who run the cottage. It is an „allround service spot“: they have a restaurant, rent scooters ( in good condition), rent TukTuks and they will carry you with their own TukTuk, they organized a pickup and delivery laundry service for us. We liked the location! a bit, but not to far away from the buzzling and loud Ella. Great view! Our room terrace gave the feeling to be „in the middle of the rainforest, but it was only 10m away from the road .( quiet at night). Very nice and good restaurant in 5 min walking distance - „Serenite“

The property is excellent. Clean and well-provided, and the staff are incredibly attentive and helpful. The service and hospitality we received throughout was fantastic, and the team were all really welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was substantial and delicious, and they were kind enough to pack one to take with us on our early train the day we left. We would definitely visit again if we come back to Ella.

The cottage has a very nice view of Ella Rock and Little Adams Peak. It is not in the City Center, which I wouldn‘t recommend anyways in Ella as it is very noisy. The accommodation is very spacious and the breakfast very tasty. The operators are very friendly and drive you to the City Center for a good price. We would come again.

The rainy season makes Ella full of bugs in the night, but it’s not something they control, and bed was protected from bugs.

The hotel’s view is amazing, you can see Ella rock and little Adam’s peak from the balcony. The breakfast was thoughtful and changed each morning, which was very nice. The room was clean and well equipped, including table and chairs both inside and on the balcony and little fridge. The shower had very hot water always, which was great. The staff was excellent and treated us well, including recommending about activities and offering help with transport.

We had a great stay here!!! Super helpful hosts, who picked us up at the train station. Breakfast was lovely, room was clean, the only ‘thing’ (which we didnt mind) is that it is up the hill, a bit outside of the city center (30mins walking, 10mins by tuktuk). However the view, peace & quiet, hosts and breakfast are totally worth it!

Extremly friendly hosting family who are were eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Great breakfast and also delicious dinner for very little money. They have a tuk tuk and can drive you wherever you like to go at any time. They even provided us the lift to the train station for free. Our room was in a separate cottage with a very nice view and it was nice and quiet at night. Even though the place is a bit up the hill you can reach Ella easily on foot.

The views are beautiful on the mountain. The owner was always helpful in any way he could and the breakfast was good. Everything was clean and very well kept. The location is good, a bit out of the center up the mountain and quiet.

We had a great stay at the cottage. The room is new, modern and has everything you need. There is a fan which keeps you cool at night (we had no problems with no AC as Ella is quite cool in the evenings). The family are very friendly and on hand if you need anything. We got several tuk tuks from the owner at a reasonable price. He also helped us get to the station for a train to Kandy which was cancelled from the main Ella station and we were taken to the next stop which was a 30 min tuk tuk away. The breakfast is huge and delicious!

Everything was absolutly perfect. The hosts are amazing and very welcoming, they really make you feel at home. They help with your planning and offer great tuktuk services as well. Delicous and varied breakfast everyday (fresh fruit from their trees) and this accompanied with an amazing room with a breathtaking view on ella rock and little Adams Peak. location a bit further from the center, only 5min with tuktuk, made it even better. bonus: we left early morning to catch the train and we got the best take away breakfast :) +tuktuk from the hosts would recommend to everyone! they also run will guest at accross the street

This is a beautiful place run by a family. A little bit further from the city (10 min tuktuk drive) which makes it very peaceful and with a beautiful view. People were really welcoming :) thank you for everything 🤍

If you’re an Ella, this is the most beautiful place for staying. The family is very sweet, they made delicious homemade srilankan dinner for us to try. Their breakfasts were tasty & they made it according to our schedule. They have a sweet dog named Seeba who is so friendly. Staying here felt like home. From the room’s balcony, you can see waterfall, 9 arch bridge from distance & Ella rock too. By the evening, the clouds surround the balcony. Even though we went in rainy season, our room was still the cleanest & we didn’t come across any bugs in the room. We stayed for 2 days here & we wish we could’ve stayed at this beautiful place for a little bit longer. Highly recommend.

Amazing homestay in Ella with the most friendly Staff! The View is beautiful und the breakfast is absolutely delicious. The Scooter we rented from them was perfect, to get around Ella. Also the Taxi Service they offerd took us to Udawalawe. All in all it was a perfect stay and we would love to come back one day :)

The most amazing stay - gorgeous, clean, spacious room & bathroom with the best view of Ella & the waterfall & the best breakfast we had so far in Sri Lanka but the biggest highlight really was the family who own the property; super friendly & welcoming & nothing was ever too much trouble. They even messaged after we left to make sure we arrived safely at our next destination & organised our laundry at a very reasonable price. They really did make our stay so enjoyable - if you’re unsure, just book - you won’t regret it :). 5 mins by tuk tuk outside Ella!
