It was a great experience. Very calm and neat environment. Mr Lesley was very kind to us. We enjoyed the stay. He also took us to Sembuwatte Lake and to the waterfall.

The hosts are friendly and helpful. The guest house is quiet and tranquil with a beautiful garden setting. I will definitely return to take some of the tours to waterfalls offered by the host.

we stayed at the summerfield guest house for three nights and had a wonderful experience . the house and garden beautiful and clean , and the bedroom verry comfortable , good owners and the location is also great , we found it to be a great value for the price ,we would highly recommend ,this guest house to anyone looking for a genuine kandy sri lankan experience ..

We had an amazing stay at Summerfield. Lesly and his wife were super hospitable and friendly, always happy to share stories and do everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We spent half a day on a great trip with Lesly — he showed us some incredibly beautiful places around Kandy that we would have never found on our own. On the way back, we stopped for some traditional tea, enjoyed a stunning view, and had a lovely chat. The room was very spacious — the biggest we’ve had so far during our month-long trip around Sri Lanka. It had super comfortable, adjustable armchairs where we could read, relax, and listen to the sounds of nature surrounding the entire house. We’re really happy we chose Summerfield and would definitely love to come back.

Great Value for the Price! I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and well-kept the room was. Everything was tidy, fresh, and comfortable. For the price, it definitely exceeded my expectations. Great value — I’d happily stay here again!

Google maps has issues to find the address, so addressing detailed description or a correct location pin would be helpful. The only other thing I can think of that would make the stay even more comfortable would be a hammock for the terrace :)

The location is quite a bit outside of Kandy but that's exactly what makes it so magnificent - between paddy fields and a banana orchard, the garden and terrace are just beautiful and there is no noise apart from animal sounds. Truly serene! Lesly and his wife are very kind hearted people and super engagd hosts who did all they could to make us feel at home. There was a bit of a mix- up with an accidental double booking (we were his very first guests ever, so figuring out the different platforms was tricky) but Lesly did all he could and more to accommodation both us and the other two people. He was also a great tour guide in the national museum and temple! Also the people in the surrounding village were very friendly and seemed excited to meet some tourists in their neighbourhood. I'd definitely stay there again if I go back to Kandy and would highly recommend it to anybody who prefers some peace and quiet over a super central location!

I had a wonderful stay here! The place is set in a peaceful and scenic area, surrounded by beautiful nature. The room was very clean and the price was really affordable. I also joined a tour offered by the host — we visited waterfalls and scenic spots. He was very flexible, stopped whenever I wanted, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the trip. The host was always helpful and did his best to assist me with anything I needed. There’s also a pickup service available, which made things even more convenient. Overall, I had a great experience and I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. And thank you so much for the lovely dinner 🌸
