Location and views of the mountains and villages are great. Hospitable staff and go out of the way. Great value for money for a tourist town. They even created an extra room since someone was not well. Lovely apple orchard nearby

At check-in I was greeted by the host's two adorable boys who were very kind, spoke English and served me tea as well. :) The accommodation can be reached only by foot and is set in a beautiful location with amazing views! It has a rooftop where breakfast is served and dinner can be ordered if the weather permits it, from which you can see all the surrounding mountains - a view which gave me goosebumps every time I walked out on to the terrace. The rooms are cozy and clean, the bed is confortable and the breakfast is good. I have ordered a dinner menu on one of the evenings and it was very good, made with vegetables from the host's garden. The host, Abdul, is very friendly and helpful and did everything to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. As a side note: I did the two-day Toubkal hike with the host's relative Mustafa as a mountain guide and it was an amazing experience which I can wholeheartedly recommend!

I am very grateful to Abdellatif (the owner), Ismael and other “crew members” of this truly outstanding guesthouse. Besides overall comfort (modern rooms, strong shower, A/C) and great views from the roof-terrace, “Atlas Haven” offers to their guests wide range of other services: guided hikes to many destinations in surrounding mountains, home-cooked lunches and dinners (with good selection of dishes), taxi services, etc. The location cannot be better: it is very close to the center of Imlil and yet a few hundreds meters away from the main road: so, it feels very peaceful and private. Most importantly, the attention to personal needs of visitors and honesty are two things which make the stay here a very special and pleasant experience. Big THANKS!

Abdellatif and his family were very welcoming. When I got a cold his wife didn’t hesitate to make a soothing herb tea. We felt so welcomed in the family. The room was tidy and clean and the breakfast, served on the terrace was very nice. We really liked our stay!

The host, Abdellatif and his wife were very nice, helping in all my issues. Even if it is a bit more remoted, it was easy to find the place, I don’t understand the previous negative comments.

It would have been better to have a slightly more varied breakfast in three days, but it was okey.

Stayed here on two separate occasions. Staff were super kind and friendly, and always to willing to help out. Good breakfast was provided although it was a little repetitive. Nice roof terrace with a view over Imlil. Very comfy beds.

There were some major issues with the water during my stay. There was no hot water one evening, and on the day I checked out, there was again no hot water available in the morning. They provide dinner, but you have to order it a few hours in advance, but when I tried to do this one time I was told that the cook had already gone home for the day and wouldn't be able to prepare dinner.

    Property response:

Dear Michael , Thank you for your feedback, and we're sorry to hear that your experience did not fully meet your expectations. Regarding the water issue, as we explained during your stay, the village experienced a temporary problem that day — the main pipe bringing water from the mountains was blocked. You also saw the local villagers working to fix it, and thankfully, the issue was resolved on the same day. It’s important to note that in mountain villages, the water supply is very different from cities, as it comes directly from natural mountain sources. Situations like this can happen occasionally, but what matters most is that we never leave our guests without water. We always provide extra water from our hotel supply to ensure your comfort in such cases. As for the dinner, we do our best to offer freshly prepared meals using local ingredients. That’s why we kindly ask guests — as written in the room information book — to order dinner before 4:00 PM. This allows us time to go to the village to buy fresh ingredients and prepare your meal with care. On the day in question, you requested dinner at 6:30 PM after your return from the hike. At that point, the cook had already left, and preparing a fresh meal would have taken until 10:00 PM, which you rightly felt was too late — and you kindly decided not to wait. We always aim to provide a great mountain experience with warm hospitality, and we appreciate your understanding of the natural limitations of a remote mountain village. Thank you again for staying with us. Warm regards, Abdellatif

Quiet location on the hill. Nice small balcony. Clean. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Booking said two separate beds, but in fact it was just a double.

    Property response:

Dear Tim, Thank you very much for your kind words about our quiet location, cleanliness, and friendly staff – we truly appreciate it! Regarding the bed arrangement, we would like to clarify that all our rooms are double twin rooms, which means they can be set up either with two separate beds or as one double bed depending on the guest's request. When guests prefer separate beds, we kindly ask that they inform us in advance via the Booking.com message system, so we can prepare the room accordingly. If no preference is mentioned, we usually leave the room set up as a double. We understand that some guests may forget to inform us through Booking.com about their preference for separate beds. In such cases, they often let us know upon arrival, and we are always happy to accommodate the request. Preparing the room with separate beds is a simple process that takes approximately 20 minutes, and we’re glad to assist whenever possible. We hope to welcome you again in the future and will be happy to prepare the room exactly as you prefer. Warm regards, Abdellatif

Lovely staff with a great view overlooking the mountains

An interesting journey to get to the property from the town. Rooms were not very clean and could do with new bed linen

    Property response:

Dear Alexandra, Thank you for your review. We’d like to kindly address your comment about cleanliness. From our conversation during your stay, you mentioned that you were upset with the local guide you booked from the main center, as he didn’t speak English and walked too fast — we fully understand your frustration. However, we respectfully feel that your dissatisfaction with the guide may have influenced your review, even though the guide service was not arranged through us and is not part of our responsibility. As for cleanliness, we invite you to take a look at the 197+ reviews we have received, where cleanliness is often positively mentioned. We change the bed linen daily, and our dedicated local staff cleans the entire property every day. Interestingly, you also gave our staff a score of 7,5, and described them as “lovely,” which we truly appreciate — yet other parts of your rating were lower, possibly due to the issue with the guide. We always aim to offer a warm and comfortable stay, and we appreciate your input as it helps us continue improving. Abdellatif

Very friendly owners (possibly brothers) who were happy. In the morning just go up to the rooftop and within a few minutes breakfast magically appeared - absolutely epic scenery of all the surrounding mountains from the rooftop. They also have an indoor rooftop area with big sofas if you want some shade. The rooms are basic but you should be out in the mountains most of the time anyway - I had a balcony that looked up to the mountains. Lots of blankets provided for cold nights (although these weren't necessary when I was there). As with all riads in Imlil it's a bit of a hidden walk to find it but there are signs.

    WiFi wasn't super strong
