How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewBreakfast was very good.
I had to walk down stairs to turn hot water on because the hot shower taps never shut off. Then, whilst still wet and not wanting to waste hot water, I had to go down the stairs to turn it off. There was nobody in the building after breakfast.

Verified reviewHassan's place is peaceful, clean and cozy in a remote village in Atlas mountains. We loved our stay here and we could just sit there for the whole day to enjoy the mountain views. it calms my soul for sure. The breakfast is so yum both me and my boyfriend enjoyed every bits!

We have a delicious dinner (Tajine) for 140 dirhams (2 people), it is aprox. 14 euros, and excelent breakfast which is included in the room reservation.
The warm water was not on but we stay only one night, so it was no problem and we did not ask about it. Although I saw there a boiler so if you ask the warm water should be available.

Verified reviewWe stayed for the night on our run/walk from Imlil to Tacheddirt (self organised and without a guide). Hassan and his son were such lovely hosts. The terrace had beautiful views and all the food was great. They gave us a tasty sandwich packed lunch. In April it was a little cold at night so Hassan put on the log burner in the upstairs sitting room and we had the option of eating inside. This is a unique stay in the highest village in North Africa and felt far away from the heavy tourism of other areas. A small shop was open for a short time during our stay. We got a bottle of water from Hassan but also water and sweets from the shop.

Verified reviewA very warm welcome and hospitality from Hassan. Incredible views in this unique location. Good food in the rural/mountain style - we had dinner, breakfast and a takeaway sandwich for lunch. Great for a stop on a hike from Imlil. WiFi and a plug socket too We would also strongly recommend hiking this way - you can go from Imlil to Setti-Fatma, or in the other direction or other versions. You can do this hike safely without a guide unlike Toubkal.

Verified reviewBeautiful landscape, the room was comfortable. There’s no heating, but there are two thick blankets provided. I visited in January and the sheet and one blanket was enough for me. Kind owners. It’s an adventure getting here. I left my motorcycle at the entryway of the village because the rocky terrain was too narrow and steep to ride. You can probably bring your bicycle into the village. My motorycle was safe, I left it there for 3 days, very safe village
Shower head faucet holder broken and water kept leaking out of the nozzle. Outdoor faucet does not work Room is affordable. Prices of extras are higher than expected, make sure to negotiate on price before you accept. Booking says breakfast is included, but it’s actually not I ate dinner one night and got sick from it and threw up. I requested more basic food after

Verified reviewFriendly, caring people, nice combination of bedroom, seating area and bathroom, very good breakfast.
Water is cold, which is fine, but with the shower hose leaking and the shower head holder broken, the shower was almost unusable. Directly next to a mosque, so the muezzin WILL wake you up at 6.30.

No real problem but needed some time to find it. Maybe coordinates should be updated a bit.

Verified reviewA beautiful and quiet place with people more beautiful than the most beautiful areas I have visited, and one of the best decisions I have made is that I visited this area and imitated its good people...as for Hassan's generosity and hospitality with his wonderful family, I can say that I will not forget his hospitality, treatment and kindness.I did not regret for a minute visiting him and staying at home with my family. I advise everyone who wants to come to this place, it's really a wonderful experience, thank you Hassan.

Verified reviewTacheddirt is a beautifully located traditional berber village. Hassan's guesthouse has amazing views of the village and the surrounding impressive mountains. You get a real feel of what life here is like. Hassan is a friendly host and does his best to show you around. The guesthouse is simple, yet accommodates all basic needs. The traditional berber breakfast, which is included, is a good start of the day. If you are looking for a somewhat adventurous stay and you are okay to adapt to just the basics, I can recommend Hassan's guesthouse as it will make for some special experiences.
Be aware that Tacheddirt is a very off the beaten track destination. You shouldn't be afraid to drive steep mountain dirt roads nor be too demanding when it comes to facilities, as there is no hot water or heating. Remember there's no gas station within an hour drive. Where the room prices are more than reasonable, the extras offered were higher than expected, so make sure to discuss prices prior to booking something.
