How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Its not the accomodations fault, but due to the central location the call to prayer is really loud, late in the night and also very early in the morning. Just be aware and maybe bring some earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
In the heart of the Medina we found this little gem of a place. Close to everything, great breakfast, lovely decoration and really cool rooms. Would definitely stay again.

We liked everything!
The staff was super nice. The eggs we had for breakfast were the best we had during our whole stay in Morocco. The roof terrace was so cute and romantic in the evening that we even got engaged there! ❤️

I’ve stayed in this hotel in another occasion in the past and I remember it cleaner, but still I love to stay here.

Small rooms and right next to a mosque, which can be very loud.
Very good located in the City and not far from the harbor. Short ways to everywhere. The staff is nice and helpful.

All the staffs will leave by the evening and you will have to contact them by WhatsApp or phone call if you need any assistance. Also, suggest the staff to check and ensure the switch of the boiler in the bathroom is turned on while cleaning the room. Also, it will be useful to inform the customer during check-in that bottle with washing liquid is for both shampoo and body gel.
The location of the riad is within the madina away from from the main street beside the mosque. Waffa is very kind to show us the places and restaurants for meals. The breakfast is brilliant with fresh orange juice. You even can ask the breakfast staff to cook omelette. The roof top view is good. Bed is comfortable.

Stairs were very steep, so a bit challenging for older or less mobile travellers.
The property was ideally situated in the Medina, but also quiet. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and recommended places to eat that we tried and enjoyed. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good.

Nothing. If you’re a light sleeper though, the mosque is right next door.

Located in the middle of the Medina, the Riad is a cozy and welcoming place. the staff are wonderfully kind people and gave us great tips on how to get around the centre and places to eat. I wouldn't expect something so comfortable with this same price anywhere else!

The Atlas Room was limited for natural light but honestly it was so cosy and there was plenty of warm bulbs everywhere.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating, the room was nice and quiet and the breakfast was a welcome addition. The whole place smelt beautiful too. I slept so heavily, I wish I booked for longer than a night!

Everything was perfect. The staff were very helpful with directions and shared some insights about the medina's surroundings. Essaouira may be a small place, but its chill and laid-back vibe will definitely make you want to return.

It is a bit loud due to Medina (calls) and birds, but there is nothing the accommodation can do about that. Bath was bit small with window into lounge and breakfast area.
Central, very helpful manager, great breakfast. Room was spacious and clean. Close to the Supratours bus stop. More or less everything you look for in a private accommodation.
