Clients shpuld be aware the stairs are very steep. Unsuitable for someone with mobility issues.

Friendly and helpful host. Great city and sea views from the rooftop terrace. Authentic Morrocan Riad experience. Cooker, fridge, washing machine, all good. Quirky and fun we loved it. Excellent value for money at this price you couldn't wish for more.

Such a relaxed place to stay! The roof terrace looks out to the Atlantic and across the Medina and must be one of the best spots for the sunset in Essaouira. Saudade was a gorgeous host, really welcoming. The house was full of art and music and was a lovely place to stay. It was a great location for exploring the town. Would recommend a trip to the fish market for fresh cooked sardines.

The stairs to the apartment, which is on the third floor, might be an issue for some people. Whilst I was there work was being carried out on the roof terrace which was a bit intrusive. Probably not an ongoing issue, but it was a shame for me.

Great location, traditional, authentic apartment, which has been nicely refurbished, well equipped, very clean and comfortable, lovely roof terrace with sea views. I loved the interior decor. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Essaouira.

Our room was clean and cozy. The bathroom has a great shower and all products and towels needed. The terrace has a beautiful view of the ocean. The lady welcomed us with tea and was super friendly. Definitely recommended.

Husband is 6ft 4 and our bathroom was narrow so not comfy for him using toilet as knees on wall. Stairs big, uneven and steep (like a lighthouse) so not recommended if any mobility issues. Having said that we booked for a character authentic property and everything was great and very clean. The description did not mislead. We had the private bathroom separate from our bedroom. We knew this prior and big fluffy towels were provided so no bother for us.

We had a perfect stay at Daranur. The location of the Riad, the communication with the owners, the apartment, and the wonderful terrace were outstanding. Everything is according to the description and pictures, and we would definitely return for another stay.

The room was amazing!!! You also have a beautiful view from the rooftop terrass and the location is close to everything in the medina! They were so kind and very good with communication! If you go to Essaouira, you definitly have to stay here!!

Daranur was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Medina of Essaouira! Malouda is really sweet and helpful, and we felt welcomed from the first moment. The communication was excellent and we felt like home. :)

We loved everything!

We loved everything about this charming property. But a standout for us was the roof terrace, it is truly higher than its counterparts allowing for uninterrupted views of sunrise and sunset. Hassan was very welcoming and helpful. We also loved having an open fire for the chilly evenings and the communal kitchen on the roof terrace was very well equipped for our needs.

Our stay at DARANUR was excellent. The apartment is very well-maintained and comfortable. The rooftop terrace offers stunning 360-degree views of Essaouira and is very close to the sea. The location is fantastic. Milouda and Hassan are kind and welcoming. Highly recommended!

We booked a double room with private bathroom. The bathroom was "private" in so far as we had it to ourselves, but to use it we had to cross a public hallway. The bathroom was nice and clean but tiny which made it a little complicated to get dry and dressed in there after showering.

The bathrooms were a little bijoux.. fine if you're short and slim!

Beautifully and tastefully decorated. Spaceous rooms, and well located in the Medina. Malouda is very welcoming and a warm host. The roof terrace is a wonderful place to watch the sunset, with great vistas over the old town and coast. Great value for money.
