It’s a short walk uphill just out of town so it’s nice and peaceful.

We have just stayed for four nights here at Gite Tamsoulte. The accomodation is pleasant as advertised, however what makes it exceptional is the hospitality of Abdou and his family, the wonderful hosts. We arrived with a loose plan that we wanted to do some day hikes, and Abdou sat down with us to help plan walks and also day trips to nearby towns that matched our needs. He is a hiking expert and a very genuine person - and a great cook. We enjoyed a beautiful traditional Berber breakfast, with many of the jams and spreads being homemade. His dinners are very filling with simple, authentic flavours that showcase the beautiful Moroccan and Berber cuisines. I recommend getting your taxi to drop you at the accomodation if possible, rather than the grand taxi rank as it is approximately another 10 minutes walk uphill, so will make things easier for you (but not essential). We felt very safe and welcomed here and in Imlil, the locals are very friendly and always happy to help. You must try their local amlou (almond butter) - it is amazing. Although it can be hard to find legitimate reviews in Morocco, I promise, this place is not to be missed.

Location, views, hospitality. Moroccan culture and connection to the mountains.

Advertised as high speed internet. There is none at all. Bed are old and sagging. I was given a normal rather than comfort room first night. Bed in comfort room was concave

The owner is extremely nice, authentic Berber hospitality at its best. We stayed two nights and given the chance we’d love to come back. It meet our expectations. From the Gite we walked up on a beautiful trekking that Abdul the owner recommended and thorough described for us. We didn’t want a guide since it is an easy trail, but if we ever go back to climb the Toubkal we’d love to go with him. Breakfast and dinner were great, tasteful and prepared on the spot for us. The room was as described, comfortable and with a balcony viewing the valley

We didn’t have any issue at all, but for europeans the facility might be a bit strange, it is no 5 star hotel. so if you are not a traveller ready to adapt this might not be the place. As an example, we had a private bathroom with shower and toilet, but without a sink. There is a long history here in this place, it is one of a kind that we’ll remember fondly

We absolutely loved staying here. Firstly an incredible view and so nice to be welcomed with mint tea. We were recommended two hikes from the hosts and were in a fab start location for them both. He even accommodated us having an earlier breakfast as we wanted to get up and go pretty early. The breakfast was so yummy and filling!!! The room was spacious and you couldn’t really ask for more for the amount we paid.

Abdoul was super friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Breakfast was served at a time of our choosing and we were never left wanting. The rooms were spacious and clean with comfy beds.

Nothing! For the money we paid, this was exactly what we were expecting.

The host Abdu, his son and wife were very nice. Abdu even helped us to book a place in a mountain hut that we couldn’t do by ourselves. The hostel is a short walk from the Imlil center which was perfect, because it was quiet and we could enjoy the wonderful Mountain Views from the terrace. You can start some of the hikes directly from there. We ended up staying there one more night

It is very basic, some things were not working, no towels or wifi, but I think the description doesn’t promise it, just to keep in mind.

Abdoul is a fantastic host and our stay was gorgeous. The breakfeast was fantastic, you can have a delicious dinner for 80Dh if you want to and Abdoul is a hiking-guide himself, so he can help you choosing a route or organize everything! Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality!

Abdul and his whole was extremely nice. We felt like beeing part of it. The location and view was amazing! If you‘re looking for a mountain guide is he the best guy in town. Breakfast and dinner was always really big, selfmade and delicious! The accommodation reminds a bit to a alpin hut what gives an amazing vibe. Besides you have a nice chill out area where you can really easily connect with other travelers. Also the town Imlil is absolutely worth a visit!! Ps: he knows the spot for the best Amlou in Morocco

Adbul is the best host ever! He has helped us organizing our Toubkal hike, as well as cooked for us and gave us some local tips :) It's more of a couchsurfing experience rather than just booking a room :) We spent some time talking about the local culture, sipping on delicious Maroccan tea. Anything you need just ask Abdul- he has all the answers :)

We highly, highly recommend staying with Abdul’s. The room was very comfortable, the roof terrace has an incredible view, the location is great, the house is well arranged. Abdul is the best host we had in Morocco (and the standard is high!). He is kind and friendly but not imposing. The food and tea were great. He even gave us some extra snacks for our hike. And the price is extremely reasonable. We were so happy with our stay that we left extra!
