How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewI loved my stay at this hotel! The setting and surrounding is beautiful, and you really feel like you are out in nature rather than in the hustle bustle of Marrakesh. The staff were so warm and welcoming, they made our stay truly remarkable. The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious (I had tried most things by the end of the stay). There are some cats and very cute farm animals round the back which also added to the stay. The atmosphere is very calm and serene. There are so many places to hang out around the hotel including by the pool, some sofas out the back, an outdoor bed to sunbathe on and some chairs near the animals. Even when the hotel is full, it does not feel crowded at all. There are enough sunbeds and places to hang for everybody. Such a great balance. All of the staff working there went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. I went with 2 girlfriends and we had the most loveliest time. We will absolutely be back!

Verified reviewIt is a boutique hotel, rooms were excellent, loved the rustic aspect to it. I was a little shocked when I first arrived because it is difficult from photos to tell how small and exquisite it is. It is small and personal, the menu is plentiful and very good food.
It was a little out of the centre but to be honest that didn't pose a problem as long as you are prepared to pay for taxis. The hotel operate a set price regardless of distance or time when fighting with the Marrakech traffic.

Verified reviewLoved our stay at La Ferme El Dar! The place totally exceeded expectations, super peaceful and every corner is so instagrammable. Such a chill and peaceful vibe all around. The on-site restaurant is amazing (great option if you just want to chill and not go out), and the free breakfast was really good too! Highly recommend for a tranquil getaway!

Verified reviewMy partner and I spent two nights at Hotel and Spa La Ferme and found it utterly charming and peaceful. We were welcomed with a warm greeting and a refreshing peppermint tea, which set a relaxed tone for the whole stay. The property felt like a private retreat surrounded by beautifully kept gardens and calm, restorative spaces. Our room was rustic and beautiful, thoughtfully furnished and equipped with everything we needed. It combined authentic Moroccan character with comfortable, practical touches so we could unwind easily after sightseeing. The quiet, cosy atmosphere made it simple to relax and recharge. The on-site farm is a highlight: fresh vegetables and eggs supplied much of the kitchen, and the happy, well-cared-for animals added real charm to the experience. It felt special to stay somewhere that cares for the land and animals so visibly. The restaurant offered a great selection of Moroccan dishes alongside international options, all well prepared and flavourful. Meals felt authentic and fresh, with clear attention to local produce and simple, satisfying presentation. The staff were exceptionally friendly and genuinely helpful, making our stay effortless from arrival to departure. Their warmth and attentiveness turned a nice stay into a memorable one.

Verified reviewWe decided to look for accommodation near Marrakech but away from the hustle and bustle. We wanted something classy yet connected to nature. La Ferme el Dar turned out to be a benchmark in Glamping. Better and more comfortable than many hotels or resorts. Super comfortable and clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and spoke good English. The bed was spectacular and comfortable, with quality linens and tadelakt finishes in the bathroom. A good TV with streaming apps and good wifi connectivity. The room was large and private, with a private garden area. Parking was easy, private and secure. We had motorcycle. The breakfast and restaurant were both quality and fairly priced. If I return to Marrakech, I will definitely stay at La Ferme el Dar again.
Like any space, there's room for improvement. These are some of our suggestions: breakfast with a few more options, although everything was exceptional. The private garden was a bit dim, with one of the lounge chairs missing a mattress, and we lacked some light in this area at night. The curtain system also seems like it could be improved, simply moving the rod from inside the door frame to the inside of the structure would suffice, thus completely covering the sides, offering even more privacy. The lighting in the bathroom area could also be a bit brighter, but it ended up creating an equally immersive environment. Overall, there's not much to complain about. It's clear that there's care, but above all, the will

Verified reviewA little piece of paradise, a perfect place to relax and unwind. Delicious fresh food and excellent service. Everywhere was clean.
If you want to get into Marrakech centre to visit the Medina, it is a 20-30 minute taxi.

Verified reviewThe hotel is really pretty and matched the photos and description. Everyone was really nice and the room was pretty cosy (we were in a room, not in a tent).
Just note that taxis are 15e one way to the medina and 20-25e one way to the airport. Also the food is really good but it felt a bit expensive compare to what you get - aligned to European prices.

Verified reviewThe property is as peaceful and gorgeous as the photos, the staff was excellent, the food was great, and the ambience was so enchanting especially at night.
It was hard to locate, when you ask local taxi drivers about the address/show them the GPS, they thought that it was not in Marrakech and is in another city (Berber).
