Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe food is quite expensive for what it was, especially given prices in the city (which were much lower).
The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The pool is huge, as was our room, with our own balcony. It was really peaceful and the perfect end to our trip after staying in the city centre. Breakfast was also delicious. It’s a boutique hotel with only a few rooms which is nice.

United Arab EmiratesIt's a wonderful place, and I stayed there for 2 days as a stopover. Of course it's a bit far from the city but it's exactly what I was looking for. A peaceful, quiet place surrounded by nature and authentic Morocco where I could recharge my batteries. I spent 2 days relaxing and chilling out. What makes this place so special and it's important to mention this is Mohad, he was incredibly kind and always willing to help. Mohad makes this place so healing and a must visit. This is what I call a true Moroccan holiday with a welcome that exceeds all expectations.

IrelandThis isn't what we "didn't like" but just some things to consider: A usual gripe of ours was the scarcity of plug sockets in our room, especially next to the bed. We also understand why people leaving reviews criticise the location, the hotel is down a dirt track and 30 minutes from Marrakech, but with the taxi service available it was no big deal, as long as you don't mind paying. With the hotel unable to serve alcohol, we purchased some from a supermarket, we would have liked a fridge in the bedroom to keep drinks etc. cold. We were sent a food menu before our trip which was different from the menu when we arrived, and to be honest they could add some additional items as there isn't much to choose from, even if the food we had was nice enough. Breakfast was nice, but too much for us and we felt bad for wasting all the dishes of fruit and breads. One final thing, you might need ear plugs at night time, there are chickens and dogs close by, who like to make a lot of noise (not the hotels fault)! In our room, we had to run the hot water for 5 or so minutes to get some heat, again this shouldn't be a deal breaker for anyone! My wife would have liked a full length mirror in the room, she's not vain, she just likes a full length mirror!!! We thought that the patio furniture could have been a little more comfortable, but we did enjoy sitting out looking over towards the mountains. One final niggle, some music playing around the pool, even quietly would have been nice to create more of an atmosphere, again this is a personal preference.
Palais Menzah & Spa was just the relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle we were looking for. The staff were excellent, very accommodating, friendly and always on hand (which made the hotel feel secure). As the hotel is about 30 minutes outside of Marrakech we needed to utilise taxis and the two lads on reception were always quick to sort this for us, just bear in mind that a return taxi is about €75. The taxi driver we had multiple times (Osama) was excellent and always made himself available. The lads also organised a hot air balloon experience for us, we were even picked up and dropped back to the hotel. The Wi-Fi throughout the hotel is good, the pool is wonderful and clean. Our room (room #4) was massive and the balcony looked out towards the garden / entrance, which we liked. The hotel is clean and still feels new, it is very peaceful. The Hammam is a must, this needs to be booked and is situated downstairs in the hotel. Something to consider is the massages, we took advantage of the hot stone massage, but this takes place in your room, which we didn't expect. All in all we would recommend the hotel for anyone who wants to be away from the city, a place to unwind, relax by the pool and recharge.

United KingdomNothing I didn't like - but a lot of the reviews are spot on. This is a boutique low-scale hotel, it has only 4-5 rooms, 1-2 staff (during Apr visit, not sure during peak months what the situation is). Expect to do some things hands-on (no vallet, there's only 1 person doing everything etc). Getting there was a bit tricky on day 1, soon as we knew the right way in, it was very easy. Food options are limited in the hotel/area, no delivery support in that area so having a car is essential if you have family and need food.
Mouaz and the other shift guy were extremely friendly, kind and helpful. Even our little kids loved them. They were also helpful with our special needs son around food at breakfast time.

Amazing hotel and nice to escape the bustling city of Marrakech. Best coffee we’ve had in Morocco. Incredible breakfast, great hospitality. Portion sizes for dinner were plentiful, tasty but could maybe offer something else besides tagine/ couscous.

SwitzerlandIt has only recently open so some things are missing. The biggest problem for us was how loud it gets because it isn’t insulated well.
It was such a nice place with a lot of potential. Mohad at the reception made sure that we had everything we needed and was always friendly and smiling. As it is a small place with only 5 bedrooms, we were lucky to meet another 2 groups of people and had a great time all together. It felt like a family home.

NetherlandsMismatch of expectations: On my first night, the shower malfunctioned. It took a long time until there was hot water and when it came, the water pressure was very weak. This is not unusual in Morocco, but I didn't expect it from a 5 star hotel. The second night, it was all good! We were looking forward to go to the spa. The spa was a small hammam place that needs to be reserved a few hours in advance (so it can be heated). We didnt know this. My travel partner and I couldn't be treated at the same time, so in the end, we chose to not make use of it. There was no menucard for dining, so we had to ask a lot of questions. The food was tasty, but the choices were limited, the portions were small and overpriced, not so much in the spirit of Moroccan hospitality. Because of this, we choose other venues to eat, though we would have preferred to stay in the hotel, because its such a lovely place. The service was warm, friendly and casual. But not with the professional classy standard you'd expect from a 5* hotel.
It's a gorgeous new hotel with great potential. The hotel was very beautiful, as was the terrace, pool and garden. I absolutely loved the rooms, they were comfortable, spacious and clean! The surroundings are calm and peaceful. If you're looking for good sleep, I recommend this place. The people in the hotel are very kind, and whenever we had questions or needs, they were happy to assist and help.
