Well located in the Medina, good internet, clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice terrasse, very helpful and nice staff. We enjoyed our stay at Riad Abjaou and would stay here again.

Everything ok

I had a very pleasant stay at Riad Abjaou. The location is excellent — close to the main attractions but quiet and comfortable at the same time. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated in an authentic Moroccan style. Jamal is a truly kind and attentive host, always ready to help and share useful tips about the city. We felt welcome from the very first moment. Breakfast was tasty and varied, and the overall atmosphere of the riad was calm and friendly. It was a great experience — I warmly recommend Riad Abjaou to anyone looking for an authentic stay and a thoughtful host in Marrakech.

We loved staying here. The place is beautiful and our host Jamal was brilliant - incredibly hospitable, welcoming and helpful. We loved the interior decor. Very clean, very well shaded and cool on the inside despite the big outside temperatures. The roof terrace was also the perfect spot to chill. The breakfasts were delicious, and the mint tea was always welcome! Thank you Jamal and Ezdi!

Now let’s talk about the CONS, the WiFi strength is not so great but you can upload all your stories, talk with your friends on WhatsApp and that’s what I needed. Remember the price you paid therefore you won’t feel super relaxed in the room, hence I said this place is exceptional for the price and more so for the people who are working here.

The property is less than 2 min walk from the main road. It is close to 10 min walk to the market area and a 20 min walk to Jemma el-Fenna where all the buzz is present. For any tour, they will mostly collect you from Barima Mosque which is a 4 min walk. For the price I paid, this place is exceptional. The host is super nice. The breakfast was very fulling, breads, omelette, tea, milk and coffee and a sweet parantha types bread. They are super nice and called a cab for me for my stay at another property later on. The room is enough for two people, you get a closet and attached washroom which was very clean. You have warm water in the shower as well. The air condition was working very well as well. Guys trust me if you are on a budget or looking for a place where you wanna crash, enjoy a wholesome vibe with very kind people, enjoy the old market and stay at a place which is accessible to the main road this is the perfect place.

We were a party of 2 staying for a 2 nights to see the city. We were met by a friendly face who escorted us from the taxi to the riad (no cars can get into that section of the Medina). The breakfast was excellent, and was prepared fresh each morning. The room was comfortable and had everything you needed. The host was incredible and made our stay perfect. He gave us a detailed summary of the area when we arrived, he pointed us in the right direction for sightseeing and he looked after us throughout our stay, always checking in to see if we were ok. The host also looked after our luggage the day we were leaving whilst we did our final exploring before catching our bus in the afternoon. Couldn't fault him!

Jamal does so much and I wish he could rest!

Jamal is the best person in Marrakech and the Riad is beautiful quiet and simple! Everything was amazing but the hospitality is world class. Jamal is just the best person in Morocco. The owner connected me to Jamal who attends to guests and the property and from the moment I started to make my way to Marrakech, he was in touch checking on me, coordinating with the taxi driver, stayed up u til almost 2am to wait for my arrival, made sure my room was clean and the air conditioning was on upon my arrival for my full comfort, had my breakfast ready whenever I said, walked me around the area to make sure I was familiar and taxis would easily find me, dropped off my laundry for me, checked in on me, and countless other considerations and services than was warranted. The place itself is so quiet, safe, clean, perfect to rest and explore Marrakech. I cannot say enough how Jamal just made this stay a 100/10!!! You get a key for the entrance and your room. The breakfast and tea was just delightful! Tip: get a taxi to/from Barrima mosque. There are many businesses around including a delicious kebab sandwich, barbers, a mini store, a laundry service, etc just steps from the riad!

It's a bit tricky to find. I arrived a bit late in the night and in the beginning there were signs but nothing really identifying the entrance so you can get a bit lost

Amazing experience. The riad is really well located in the medina and close to many nice places in a traditional, quiet, and local area yet very close to the busy nice landmarks and places. The staff was amazing. Very helpful and friendly. Especially Jamal ! He’s amazing, kind, genuine and very professional and polite. He let me leave my luggage when I went to an excursion in another city for a day. Every guest say that he’s amazing. I’m not the only one. The breakfast was good and generous. Room are nice clean and cosy with AC.
