How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewRooftop terrace for breakfast Good size of the room.
Everything’s quite worn down and it doesn’t look as nice as in the pictures. The spa looks more like a storage room, we cancelled our booking last minute when we saw it. We didn’t get a proper check-in with information on breakfast etc.

Verified reviewThe riad was charming and the staff were very kind and welcoming. They even prepared breakfast for us to take away when we had to leave early for a tour, which was a lovely gesture. The room was comfortable, although the shower could use some refurbishment, especially the fittings. Overall, we had a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Verified review10/10 for the service. Everyone we encountered there was extremely polite, professional and always had a smile on their faces. We felt comfortable and at home. The location was great, close to a main road. Shops, markets and restaurants were no further than a 3 minute walk. The main attractions of the city were also pretty close. The breakfast was nice.
On the other hand, the room needed some upgrades. The air conditioning was leaking and there was a bed below it, making it wet. The toilet flusher didn't work properly. The riad was located in two buildings (the entrances were in front of each-other, so basically the same place). Our room was not located in the building with the inner courtyard that was advertised in the pictures here. That being said, we still had access to the other building but felt like it should have been clearer on the description. When we were looking for places to stay in Marrakesh, we had a choice between two options and chose this one (the slightly more expensive option). We were disappointed, however, because the pictures looked better than the reality.

Verified reviewMy stay at this wonderful Riad was simply unforgettable. The staff were kind, helpful, and always attentive to every need. I truly felt at home. The room was impeccably clean, and every day I returned to find everything perfectly in order. One of the most special moments of my stay was on my birthday: they were absolutely amazing! They surprised me by singing “Happy Birthday” – a gesture I will always carry in my heart. I have intolerances to gluten, dairy, and eggs, and I must say the staff went above and beyond. Every morning, they prepared a personalized breakfast that was varied, safe, and absolutely delicious. I felt truly understood and cared for. I wholeheartedly recommend this Riad – not only for the beauty of the place, the cleanliness, the peace and quiet, and its excellent location but above all, for the warmth and passion with which it is run. I will definitely be coming back!

Verified reviewVery friendly staff, our room was just as described. The upstairs roof terrace is wonderful, we had breakfast there and lay in the sunbeds one afternoon. It’s a very tranquil spot. The riad was very clean. The breakfast was very good too. I loved the flat bread pancake.
The only negative was it was noisy when we went to bed as we were ground floor right by the reception and we were in bed super early at 9.30pm.

Verified reviewLovely Riad in a great part of the Medina. Not right in the very centre (which is a bonus) but close enough to walk to lively spots within 5 minute walk. Room was spacious, had air con and had a nice big shower. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again if needed!
The bedroom we chose didn’t have a window, it would be nice to have more natural light.

Verified reviewThe riad is perfectly located in the Medina. Its locates down a small alley way, which means u have peace and quiet, but only a short walk and you are in amongst the hustle and bustle of Medina life and the souks. The main square is approx 15mins walk through the souks. The room i had was a good size( double bed &, 1 single).aircon worked well and a small en-suite shower. It was clean and tidy. I ate both nights there and food was delicious and value for money. And the option of eating on rooftop. It alos has sun loungerd if you fancy a day relaxing. Staff are super friendly, will help with anything and its never an issue.will always offer advice on the best places to visit. I was 2 days here after and for the cost and location and staff id happily stay again

Verified reviewThe Riad was very beautifully designed. It felt very local. The stuff was very accommodating and nice. Always made us feel welcome and in good hands. They were helpful and also gave us tips on what to do and not to do. The riad is located perfectly to reach everything you need and to go and explore.

The doors don’t have a doorknob, you can only lock the room doors with a lock, although the area was very safe.
