Great location in the old Medina. Loved the downstairs courtyard & the breakfast room/kitchen where the breakfast ladies were amazing and looked after our every need. The manager Omar was very friendly & helpful.

Great location - right inside the medjna walls. Amazing breakfast served in the kitchen on the lower level. Great staff - super helpful and always available. We ejected the middle cost room which was very nice though did gave a window to the street. Great courtyard for relaxing

The location is perfect, slightly out of the madness but still in the Medina. The bedroom and private balcony are gorgeous! The breakfast was the best I had in my various accommodations throughout Morocco - those eggs! 🍳 👌

Location is great, near parking lot if you drive and the location is easy to remember. The staff was welcoming from day 1! Taking the time to provide a map, information on sights along with tea and treats. Breakfast was served with many different options (breads, jam, Moroccan tea, coffee, honey, orange juice, egg mixture in a hot tagine, fruit and a pudding(?). The riad was was clean and very secure with someone available at all times.

It’s a very cool, clean and comfortable Riad. The owner send us so many messages to help us to know the surroundings and the route to Riad. The 2 young guys in the Riad are very very nice and helpful . The location is very convenient to explore the Medina. It’s the most comfortable and the best service Riad we have experienced in our Moroccan trip.

An unforgettable stay! The staff were incredibly caring and thoughtful—we even got a free room upgrade. The homemade Moroccan meals for dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious, made with so much love. Endless mint tea, warm smiles, and a true feeling of home. Highly recommended!

Loved everything

Our room was light and airy but could be darkened very easily for sleep with the shutters. I loved the styling of the room and it is one of the few accommodations that I have stayed at where the reality matches the promotional picture. Our bathroom looked lovely and functioned well. I believe the staff actually make this place what it is. The host is a delightful man who always has the time to say hullo and have a conversation. The kitchen/housekeeping staff are absolutely wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they do everything with a smile on their face. The rooms are spotlessly cleaned everyday and the quality of the bedroom linen and towels is a standard above most. The breakfast deserves attention on its own. Breakfast is served every morning in the large kitchen and you eat with the other guests whilst the lovely ladies prepare your food. Every day there was something different to add variety to each day. There were always eggs cooked in a variety of ways, pancakes, fresh home baked cakes, breads, fruit, homemade yoghurt, freshly squeezed fruit juice and so it goes on. We are doing a three month round the world trip and the Riad Dar Awil stands head and shoulders above all the accommodation we have stayed at on this trip.

Excellent location for exploring and if arriving by car 7€ will have your car parked safely close by. Spacious lovely cool room, early June. Inviting court yard with excellent wifi in all areas. Breakfast was lovely and enjoyed in the kitchen with other guests. Would highly recommend
