How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe accommodation is in a great location, we were able to reach all the sights on foot. I would especially highlight the atmosphere – we loved the colors, shapes, and furnishings. A little oasis right next to the bazaar.
No such thing :)

Verified reviewOur host was so friendly and helpful, we felt very welcomed and the whole hospitality was just great. We also received a video with the instructions how to find the place which would’ve been hard otherwise. The Riad’s design was just beautiful , the room, the dining area just astonishing.
Our room was near staircase and little windows didn’t have any curtains so it was a bit lacking privacy.

Verified reviewLocation was fantastic as close to Jemaa el Fna. And not far from taxi drop/off and pick up. Directions to find that were sent ahead of arrival were excellent as not easy to find your way in Medina. Mohammed was helpful and friendly and breakfasts were excellent.
Nothing really.

Verified reviewSuper location - you step out the door, turn a corner and you're ready to explore the souk! This also means that it's not that quiet, but we didn't have any issues with outside noise. Mohamed was very nice to us and helped with whatever he could, we could even leave our luggage there after check out to not be burdened by exploring before our flight. The ladies who prepared our breakfast were also friendly. Breakfast was really nice and abundant, although it was the same each 3 mornings, this might be something to consider during longer stays. The roof terrace is also worth a visit!
Very important - the family room has a tiny bathroom with no real shower! You can basically take a shower head from above the sink and shower in the slightly lower space at the entrance. This is not really acceptable, we suggested that a normal shower could be built and separated in the back corner of the inside terrace (which only this room has a private one of, that's something we liked). The other two (double) rooms have a normal shower, we checked when the guests moved out, so we can recommend those. But the family room has three beds - a double one that's comfortable, a single one that is also good, but the third smaller one I wouldn't call a bed. Luckily we were just 3 but I regretted trying to sit on it it's soo hard.

Verified reviewsmall and cozy, very nice interior design, good location.
it is almost impossible to find the hotel, address is not provided and the one shown on google map is not correct. There was no name of the hotel shown in the entrance. I am glad that I asked the owner for the address in advance, and then he WhatsApp me a video to show me the way.

Verified reviewGreat terrace to relax and great location. The riad decoration is very nice and the beds are very comfortable.
Since the beginning there were different things that made us suspicious of this place: at first, the owner offered us a private transfer from the train station for 150 MAD, which is 5 times the price you pay for a taxi there. I asked him a couple of times to give me an estimate of how much I should ask the taxi driver to pay and he wouldn’t answer, only telling me “ok take a taxi but be careful they don’t ask you for 300 MAD” which would never happen. So our first experience was that he was trying to scam us because taking a taxi was definitely easier and cheaper. Then when we arrived at the address indicated in booking and google maps, the Riad didn’t exist. We had to turn on our internet data to contact them, and the owner sent us a video explaining how to get from where we were to where the riad was, 10 minutes on foot away. When we arrived there, someone else welcomed us and when we explained the address was wrong he couldn’t give us an explanation. Reading comments on booking after that, I realized this had already been flagged by other people but they did not do anything about it. Another thing that made us suspicious was that they did not request our passports, we never did a formal check in. They only asked us to pay 180 MAD as local tax and when we asked a proof that we had to pay that amount, they couldn’t reply either. The person that works in the hotel, Mohammed, had very nice intentions but couldn’t help us much during our trip either. On our first day we asked him to recommend us a restaurant around the riad to have dinner and he could only point us to the biggest restaurant in the main square which is of course the most touristic one. When we asked for a less touristic place, he couldn’t say anything else. The rooms were beautiful but the doors were it terrible condition. Overall, the place is beautiful but I wouldn’t recommend it as I am pretty sure there are better riads to stay in.

Verified reviewNajma was the most wonderful host: so accommodating and kind, and very communicative. She gave us clear instructions to get to the property, sent us restaurant recommendations, and even helped us to reserve a spa day at a hammam in the city, which was an incredible experience. The breakfast at the property was incredible, and the staff were very friendly and warm. We loved our room and the bathroom especially, and also enjoyed spending time on the rooftop terrace. My favourite part of the riad was the downstairs area: it was so relaxing and cosy, and as guests, we felt very welcome to just sit and relax on the sofas throughout the day, just reading or chatting.
No complaints, except that it is important to keep in mind that the rooms are not very soundproof, so you can hear what's going on downstairs or if people are walking around in the corridors, and vice versa. I think this is just part of the architecture of a riad, and isn't unique to Sidi Radoine, though! During our stay, all the guests and hosts were very respectful of keeping noise levels to a minimum as well, so this wasn't a problem.

Verified reviewNajma is very welcoming and is always there for questions! The staff is also very friendly and we were given tea on arrival. Breakfast is very good and the riad and the room are very clean! I definitely recommend it because you stay in the middle of the Medina and you only have to walk 3 minutes to the main square!
Sometimes it was a bit loud but, after all, you really are in the centre of the Medina so you can expect that. However, it was quiet to sleep at night.

Verified reviewWarm welcome from the host and staff, tasty traditional breakfast and beautiful authentic style in an intimate Road close to Cafe Argana. A home from home and great value for the stylish feel. Also gave great recommendations for restaurants and local spa options. Lovely rooftop terrace to relax and enjoy the city ambience at sunset.
At the moment, the Google maps address shown is not correct, which caused some confusion for day trip pick ups and arrival. However, the host sent a walk-through video on the day of arrival to show me the right way to the location. That was very welcome!
