Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe arrived to a filthy house. The owner was not there, just one of the staff. The beds had not been changed since the last booking. The towels had not been changed either. There was food and dirt all over the tables and floor, I could not put my dog down else she would start eating it. There was no electricity. The bathroom was horrific (what I could see by torch light). We spoke to owner who said cleaner had been off for a few days and an electrician would be sent out. DON’T TAKE BOOKING THEN! We arrived late in the evening for one night stay. We had to drive another couple of hours to another accommodation. It seems we have still been charged (photos really don’t show how dirty it was)

United StatesThe road to the property (mentioned in previous reviews) is definitely sandy, however we came on 4 road bikes and didn’t find it too challenging. Don’t be put off! The people living in the village were also very helpful and made sure we were going in the right direction.
A beautiful and peaceful property. The host was experienced and amiable, and made us a lovely breakfast. I can’t recommend enough.

United KingdomGPS location not up to date. But people will help you find it in the small village.
The view was fantastic. The bird and peacock on your balcony. The beautiful summingpool....the food made by the lovely couple living there was great and breakfast was included. The view was fantastic. It is a bit off track, the road to get there is sandy, but it is accessible. Kids in the village will show you the way to the Riad!

NetherlandsThe road to the riad could use a few signs, since we were not sure if we were on the right sandy road. But is you follow the gravel road for a long time and at the T take a left, then you are almost there. The locals were happy to help us.
The location at the little lake is stunning, from our room we could see the flamingo’s for hours :-) The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The riad feels authentic and is nicely decorated.

South AfricaThe location is incredible, on the edge of a little lake with flamingoes and lots of other birds. Great big swimming pool and a shaded terrace on the lake side. The sitting room is very comfortable, as are the bedrooms. Abdellatif and his wife are extremely helpful and made the stay a pleasure.

NetherlandsGoogle maps can send you the wrong way once you're in the village. You have to turn left towards the lake. The owner said he will try to put up a sign.
This place is truly a hidden gem. The images looked good but when we arrived we realised that they do not do this place justice as it far exceeded expectations. Beautiful traditionally decorated rooms. A stunning location right at the lake with beautiful views from the large terrace and natural lake water pool. To top it off we had the best tajine chicken served you can ever imagine. Just fabulous!

CanadaAs two cycle tourists, the only thing we would say is this is not easy to get to by bike. However, if you are in a car or on a motorcycle, you should have no problem. The peace and quiet as well as the friendliness are worth the stay if you find yourself in need of accommodations in this part of the region.
Loved all of the artwork, tile, layout of the guest house. The surrounding bird sanctuary is gorgeous. Breakfast was good for two cyclists who needed to get started in the morning. Beds had plenty of blankets for additional warm that night and shower water was warm. Sophia was very very friendly and they were Very helpful for any request we had.

SpainDifficult to say. Just be prepared to drive on sometimes hard dirt road (but I hope they don't fix it so the place doesn't become too tourish...).
A beautiful setting, near a lagoon with plenty of birds, half an hour from the sea. The village is humble and the people generous and very friendly. Abdelatif and his wife are very nice and are ready to help. We had a great dinner with typical Moroccan rural food and a wonderful breakfast.

United KingdomWhere do you start? I fully believed when I booked this I was checking into some sort of a resort. It's not. It's more like the Wizard from the Wizard of Oz. The host is someone who has willfully lied about what his property actually provides in the room that I selected. In the communal areas: There is no pool. It's empty. The WiFi didn't work. I suspect this is because the owner had not paid for it. Dinner was a steamed chicken meal, (not tagine), a salad, (small plate of chopped lettuce), and a desert (small pot of yoghurt). Plus a bottle of water. All for 120 dirams. Breakfast was equally stingy; bread, omelette, jam butter, coffee and juice. Juice was the cheap stuff, not freshly squeezed. In my room: When I arrived, there was no hot water and I had to have a cold shower. The rooms are poorly maintained. The handle came off the balcony door and the curtain was torn from the curtain rail. There are many features and the owner doesn't provide any of them. You can see them in the photos below.
The house is in a nice style on the inside. On the outside, it looks like a prison camp.
