How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe staff was excellent, especially Yousuf who speaks very good English and is available around the clock. He takes care of everything with a smile. A gentleman he is. Location is ok. It's in the old Medina, some 8-10 minutes of walk from Jemma el Fanna, the centre square. Bahia Palace and Marissa Yousuf are also 8-10 minutes walk time from the Riad.
The rooms don't have the basic ameneties like drinking water. The breakfast was basic. Adding eggs can make it better. A common iron and stand can be provided for the guests.

Verified reviewThe staffs headed by Youssef when we arrive are all very hospitable. He gives us a brief orientation on how to navigate the city and good suggestions for the good resto and cafes around the square. The team keeps our room always clean and with everyday fresh new linens and towels.

Verified reviewA very interesting building located right in the center of the medina, full of character and charm. It’s a great choice for backpackers or budget travelers, with very affordable prices and everything you need for a short stay. The host is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Perfect spot if you want to feel the authentic atmosphere of the medina without spending much.
Breakfast is served quite late, and during my three-day stay I was only able to have it once, and even then it was only partially served. My room was on the top floor, with walls exposed to the sun all day. While the air conditioning helped, the room could still get quite warm, especially with outside temperatures over 40°C. Since the medina was not fully booked, it would have been helpful if the property offered alternative rooms on lower floors.

Verified reviewVery good and professional staff, excellent breakfast. Yousuf at desk was very friendly and accommodating.
Location, it was inside medina market and its not easy to reach the accommodation as its surrounded by lots of old streets and many of the small streets closes at night. Very difficult for first time comers.

Verified reviewRiad Capri is a peaceful retreat right in the heart of Marrakesh. Just minutes from Jemaa el-Fnaa and the souks, its location is ideal for exploring the city on foot. Inside, the riad is beautifully decorated, combining traditional Moroccan charm with a clean, modern touch. The staff are warm and helpful, and the atmosphere is calm, perfect after a busy day in the medina. The rooftop terrace is a real highlight, offering a quiet space to unwind with great views. A central, stylish, and welcoming riad—highly recommended for a relaxed Marrakesh stay.

Verified reviewThis hotel does not allow you to book directly, you’re required to book through Booking.com. That’s fine, but the real issue came after we booked. As soon as we completed the reservation, they informed us that my Moroccan friend could not stay with us just because he is Moroccan. When we arrived, no one mentioned this policy at check-in. They waited until after we paid and confirmed our booking. That’s completely unacceptable. If this is your policy, it should be clearly written on your Booking.com page, not hidden until after payment. We’ve been traveling around Morocco for almost three weeks, staying in various hotels and never had this issue before. This is the only place that discriminated against my friend in his own country. To make matters worse, the receptionist was rude. I went to my friend’s room to get my things, and she kept knocking on the door telling me to leave. This behavior is unprofessional and disrespectful. Yes, you may have policies, but be clear and transparent about them from the beginning. Don’t surprise your guests after they’ve already booked. This was an extremely disappointing experience.

The genuine kindness and care of Zineb, Rachida, Jamila and Youssef make every stay special—they remember you, they welcome you like family. The location is ideal, right in the medina but still peaceful and easy to reach. Absolutely delicious breakfast, with fresh local touches and served with love. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else!

Verified reviewAbsolutely love this riad! Tucked away in the heart of the medina, it’s the perfect blend of peaceful charm and unbeatable location—everything is within walking distance. But what keeps me coming back time and time again is the warmth and kindness of the people here. They make you feel like family from the moment you arrive. The breakfast is always a highlight—fresh, delicious, and beautifully served. A true gem I’ll never get tired of returning to!
