How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewI loved that this hotel it was a little bit away from the craziness of the markets I felt safe and Abdul and Salah were the most amazing hosts making sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were comfortable and I loved the small pool- essential for cooling off. Breakfast was lovely not huge but just the right amount for me as I don’t do big breakfasts - the coffee was excellent. I loved the showers in the rooms the whole place was very authentic and beautiful . The hotel also arranged the airport transfer which were on time and reliable. Our flight got cancelled and it wasn’t a problem to stay an extra night and for the hotel to sort us out with new airport transfers. The hotel also has a lovely roof terrace- I can not wait to return.
It’s charm was how quiet the hotel was - however a bar on the roof to get refreshments would of been nice

Verified reviewThe staff were amazing. The location was very good, close to the taxi stand as well as the souks. The neighbouring riad was very helpful and allowed us to sit when we'd lost our key. We were able to get taxis to the airport from the riad, and breakfast was nice too.
I would have liked some protein with breakfast, whether it be an egg or some sausage, etc. Was very good otherwise.

Verified reviewThe staff was discrete and courteous. The location is great, in the heart of old town but not noisy because of the small street it is located
If I have to find something,I would suggest to add a kettle in the room and a small fridge

Verified reviewThe staff at the riad set up our transportation which was helpful to get to the riad and when we arrived was able to help set up transportation to go to the airport. Our host met us and helped with our bags. He was very kind and able to serve us a delicious breakfast the day we arrived since we were not able to eat breakfast the day we left due to an early flight. We only stayed one night due to this was the end of our trip. The riad was very clean and even had our room earlier than expected which was a nice surprise. Our room was on the 2nd floor and our host helped us bring our luggage upstairs (note there are no elevators).
The only negative thing was the smell of the bathroom but this is probably normal for older riads. We were on the 2nd floor room at the end of the hallway. We were only there one night so it did not bother us much. Other than this, our stay was perfect!

Verified reviewStaff was exceptionally nice! We really enjoyed our stay there!
Our shower head was broken but it was instantly fixed after we have let them know. Also, would have been nice if there would be more variety for breakfast. There was only sweet breakfast every morning.

Verified reviewAmazing service in a beautiful riad! The attention to detail was so great, from the mint tea upon arrival with some small Moroccan treats, to the heart shaped towels and fruit when leaving, this was one of our favourite places to stay in Morocco!
Nothing at all.

Verified reviewAbsolutely lovely staff. Very organised and on the ball. Tasty breakfast. Quite quiet location and only 5 min walk to the markets. Nice rooftop terrace. Felt authentic.
Was disappointed by how small the 'triple' room was. Extremely cramped and just one coffee table and no other surfaces to put anything. Very dim lighting. Loud, awkward doors with stiff locks. Cleaner kept putting all the furniture back where we had moved it all for convenience. Hardly any sockets either.

Verified reviewGreat location. Close enough to the buzz of the old town and main square. Far enough from it and the continuous noise from the motorbikes.
The sound insulation in the rooms, as one can hear everything in the court yard. I guess a room on the second floor is better for this reason.

Verified reviewEverything from the beginning to the end of the stay in this Riad was perfect. The location is a few minutes walk from the main square. Excellent location. The hosts were available 0/24. We arranged transportation from the airport and back with them. Everything was on time and Abdul welcomed us when we arrived. At the reception, we received welcome tea and instructions on where to eat and what to see in Marrakech. They cleaned the room every day and gave us clean towels. The Riad is quiet, you might hear a little murmuring of people while eating breakfast, but that's part of the experience and it didn't bother us. The beds are comfortable and clean, the breakfast was excellent. Breakfast is more sweet than salty, but the ladies from the kitchen kindly prepared eggs for breakfast. We definitely recommend the riad.
Dear Marijana, Thank you for your kind words! We’re so happy you enjoyed your stay, our location, and the warm hospitality. We hope to welcome you back again soon!

Backed up sewer smell in bathrooms, that doesn't go away.

Verified reviewThis riad is so beautiful and tranquil, the rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Very clean and lots of fresh towels. The staff is super helpful, they even offered to send the earpods I left in the room back to my country with some other guests. Highly recommend!
The riad (like all riads) is very noise sensitive... Some people were having a late dinner and stayed up talking in the courtyard next to our room, this was very noisy for me as a light sleeper, but I guess it's part of the experience.

Verified reviewWe have just come back from a wonderful stay at the Riad Amegrad. I would recommend this place to anybody who wants to be close enough to the main center but still having some peace and quiet. All the staff were very professional and attentive. The taxi drops you off close by as the road doesn't allow cars down it but someone from the riad comes to pick you up and take you there. It was all a very smooth process. Our bedroom slept 4 and the courtyard was a beautiful sight to wake to every morning. On our last day we had lunch (paid extra) and it was set out and ready on time and absolutely delicious. I would stay again.
We were happy with our stay.

Verified reviewA very nice place, very close to every bustle and hustle in Marrakesk but inside Riad is very silent. Tea and cookies to welcom us. A room looks exactly like on photos. Is bigger than I thougth. Bed and linen are VERY comfortable, a real mattress, not a sponge, what was important to me. Extraordinary breakfast on patio. You can ordere some eggs and they prepare a quite good coffe. Many side dishes, fruits, yogurt, evry days one or two things were dieffrent. It os a 5-7 minutes away from a main market and the rest interesting place.
