How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewRaja and Daniel are the best host ever. We got lost and Raja came to pick us up quite far in the medina late evening, she literally saved us! The riad style, decoration and furniture are just amazing. Everything is so well tidy.

Verified reviewRiad Julines is so chic, stylish, clean and the service and hospitality is the best I’ve experienced anywhere in the world. Raja really went above and beyond for us and I can’t praise her more. The day we were due to stay at Riad Julines, my mum broke her foot and we had a very difficult saga the whole day trying to find an appropriate hospital to get the medical care she needed. On contacting them about the situation they were incredible. They sent us a driver to the hospital to collect us, arranged for a motorcycle to pick her up and take her to the front door of the Riad through the maze of medina streets. All complimentary! Then a strapping young man even physically carried my mum to her room in his arms when she couldn’t walk. Much to her surprise and delight! They ensured we had an accessible ground floor room and it couldn’t have been more perfect! They were so accommodating for our gluten-free needs and even went out to get special cakes and treats for our breakfast which were delicious. The next day Raja helped me acquire crutches for my mum, accompanied me to the pharmacy and even supported me to find another Riad for us to stay another night before we flew home because they were already fully booked. They made a difficult situation so so easy for us. I will be sure to recommend Riad Julines to everyone I know that visits Marrakesh because it is not only a beautiful Riad but service is second to none!
Nothing. It was beyond perfect. If I could score it 11, I would!

Verified reviewVery central in the Medina. The staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I appreciated this as I was on my own for the first day. We didn’t get to see the Majorelle Gardens. You need to book on line and I wasn’t quick enough. So we shall need to return!
The breakfast wasn’t to our taste - too sweet, if this is typically Moroccan. This is just a minor point and didn’t upset us from giving Riad Julines a top score.

Verified reviewLovely property, a short walk from most tourist attractions. Beautifully decorated property which was nice and quiet. The owners and staff were really nice and very helpful without being overbearing. The resident cats Mish-Mish and Coco were cute ☺️. I’d definitely stay again!
Bed was harder than I’m used to but this is a personal preference.

Verified reviewSuch a beautiful sanctuary in the madness of Marrakech. We loved our stay. We had a beautiful room with a lovely big bathroom. The shower was amazing after all the small European showers. Breakfast is up on the roof top with different things each morning. Raja, the manager is a delight.
The only thing is the bed was a bit firm for us.

Verified reviewOn the first day I had mixed feelings fueled by experiences from europe. This is not europe. It's a morrocan riad in the heart of Marrakech. Once I realised this place is perfect and I just had it all wrong I started enjoying everything about my stay. Raja is a great host. She's there only when you need her and if You do, you can absolutely count on her. Riad is in the heart of medina. Raja has both, her guest and medina in her heart. She bonds the two tougher effortlessly. I truly recommend this place to learn more about Marrakech and about yourself. Thank You Raja, Abdullah. I cant forget the two ladies that made sure we enjoyed great breakfast and slept in immaculately clean place.
The first impression of medina might be a little frightening. I assure You, it's very safe place but because of my ignorance i had preconceived notion about people that I simply didn't know. Visiting Medina was an eye opening experience.
Thank you for your beautifull words, it was a pleasure hosting you and help you with what you've needed, you were so nice with all the people working at the riad, and we are all happy we've met you beautifull people, see you next time you comeback,

Verified reviewExcelent Riad! We spend about 2-3 nights at Riad Julines. The host, Raja was warm, friendly and helpful. She's also cute and smart ❤️🔥 At arrival, we were majestically greeted by Noureddine which is an excelent host and a great person to talk to. The Riad is very new, it has an excelent central Medina location, a small cute pool, hot water, comfy bed, nice orange smell and a beautiful terrace. WiFi is good too. It was an honor! 🤗🥰 Raja & Noureddine, we hope we meet again soon 😁 Best regards, Alex & Oana Gabriela

Verified reviewA really good experience in a Riad. New and confortable rooms, nice rooftop for breakfast and really kind hosts (Raja and Nour)! They were always there to help us when needed. During evenings Nour was always really kind and ready to explain us more about their Culture and Marrakech. If you want to stay in a confy accomodation and feel a bit how it is living in a Riad this is the place to stay!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment, it was a pleasure hosting you and knowing you.
