Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt was all good.
Great little Riad. In a quiet area but only a short distance walk to restaurants, cafes and shops. Had a small roof top and our kids loved the pool in the courtyard.

United KingdomThe only thing that could have made ths place better was the location. It's kind of an irony though, because it was very tucked away from the main centre of the city, this also served as a positive because it was very queit and peaceful there. However, make sure you down load a google map of the medina because following the generic city maps means you are guaranteed to get lost! Brush up on your French as that'st the main language of the city (next to arabic of course!). Unfortunately, my basic skills of telling people my name and being able to ask where the swimming pool was didn't get me very far.
The staff were mega helpful and were always on hand to give you advice of places to go, or not to go. The property itself is a hidden oasis, away from the assault on the senses that Marrakech can be, offering a zone of peaceful tranquilty where you can rest and recharge. Their food was great and easily on a par, if not better than the majority of other restaurants available in the medina itself. My room was on the ground floor and the bed offered a very needed great nights sleep which meant I was recharged and ready for the following days fun and frivolities.

United KingdomThis is a magical place to stay . All the team at the Riad were 100% nothing was to much trouble the location is perfect for Marrakech and is an ideal base for exploring all the magic and history the medina and to return to the riad with its much needed peace and tranquillity was amazing . The rooms are peaceful and we slept so well and the rooms were cleaned to a high standard daily. The breakfasts are really good served on the rooftop area we recommend booking an evening meal during your stay ours was delicious ! . There is a small spa area where you can book a massage after a busy day . Mohamed will arrange taxis for the airport which we would strongly recommend for a hassle free transfer we did this on return to the airport but we didn’t do this on the transfer on arrival but I really wish we had .

United KingdomThe property was in a quiet location but only a short walk from the Souk. It was very clean and calm inside. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The bed was firm but suited me well. Hot water in the shower was a bit erratic but ok. There are ground floor rooms which is good for anyone who can’t manage steep steps. The roof terrace was a lovely place to relax and enjoy some sunshine.

United KingdomThe issue is that they do not say clearly on Booking whether the rooms are downstairs or upstairs. We had first booked a downstairs room (without knowing). When I realised that, talking to the staff via Booking and looking at the Riad's website, I asked to change our room to an upstairs one. Unfortunately, only one was available the last three days of our stay. We opted for that, but the Riad charged us an extra 20 euros/night (although the Riad's website has the same rate for rooms upstairs and downstairs). The downstairs room was fine but subject to external noises, e.g., when people leave or arrive early in the morning, especially when they happen to have breakfast in front of your room. I believe this is a general issue for Riads, and I would recommend anyone to book an upstairs room or to check first that the room they are booking is upstairs.
The staff was helpful and accommodating, e.g., for early breakfast when required. The Riad is beautiful inside, with a lot of greenery. The rooftop terrace is very pleasant for breakfast in the morning or, indeed, for evening dinner (as we had on the first night).

United KingdomI recently had the pleasure of staying at Riad le Voile d'Orient in Marrakech, and it was an excellent experiencefrom start to finish. The Riad itself is beautiful, spacious, and wonderfully decorated, creating a perfect blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. A special mention goes to Anas, one of our hosts, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. His dedication and attention to detail truly made a difference. Mohammed was also incredibly helpful, kind, and supportive throughout our stay. Additionally, the new staff member, "Ali", was very attentive and made sure we were always happy and comfortable. Overall, our time at Riad le Voile d'Orient was amazing, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakech. The hospitality and ambiance are unmatched

Everything was amazing from the moment we arrived until we left. Mouhamed and the team couldn’t have done enough for us. Breakfast was lovely and fresh. We ate in the Riad on our second night and the food was fabulous. Perfect location as we were amongst the old alleyways and could walk to the main square in 10 minutes. Our entire experience was so good that we have already booked to return in October.

All staff Very welcoming and friendly throughout stay . Helpful with directions - needed initially but quickly orientated ourselves. Authentic attractive decor in Riad generally with comfy roof garden. Everywhere very clean. Location great ( quiet but central enough) and felt safe. All major sights walkable ( except excellent YSL/ Majorelle Gardens which we wisely booked in advance in UK and for which taxi organised for us). Pleasant fresh breakfast in attractive courtyard. The 15 Euro Airport pick up /drop off worked well.

United KingdomNothing - everything was lovely!
The Riad was tucked away on a quiet side street just away from the main hustle and bustle of the streets towards the main square. It was within easy reach of all the local shops and market traders. Inside, the Riad was airy, comfortable and clean. Set over three floors including a lovely roof terrace where breakfast was served, it was peaceful and tranquil. The staff were friendly and hospitable, and there was great communication before our arrival.

Our stay was wonderful! Our flight was very delayed, we arrived at 4am despite this the team were fully contactable. Mouhamed helped us arrange our taxi, spoke to the driver so we didn’t get lost, Anass was waiting outside the property to let us in, which was very reassuring and helpful after a long day. The riad and breakfast were lovely. Mouhamed and Anass had great suggestions on what to visit and where to eat. Everyone was very friendly and Anass is really good at playing UNO.
