Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBreakfast could be slightly varied but I think that was the authentic Moroccan breakfast.
Hamid was an amazing host and really did the most to make us feel comfortable. He organised someone to pick up our luggage from outside of the medina and did the same when we departed. It has a really family feel. Riad itself was beautiful, the courtyard was serene, location was perfect (inside the medina/souks). Powerful shower and nice touch with the chairs and tables in the room. There's also a terrace on two levels which would be amazing in the summer. Freshly pressed orange juice, coffee and tea were very tasty.

GreeceThe mattress was kinda tough and not very comfortable. We had a little hard time communicating because only the son spoke good enough English.
It is located in the heart of medina and run by a welcoming family. We asked for the room in the terrace and they happily gave it to us. The breakfast was homemade and fresh. They even wake up earlier just to make breakfast for us because we were departing early.

United KingdomThe only difficulty was finding the riad, it has no sign outside (we were helped by a friendly local but be aware you might want some more specific directions before you set off).
This brilliant riad was in a wonderful location (literally within the medina and minutes from the main square). The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and the breakfast was delicious. We loved our stay.

NetherlandsA minus is that the host and his wife can’t speak English. But the children of them speak it very good. A big tip is to ask the host for the route from the square to the riad, because google maps and also maps.me don’t know exactly where to go
What i liked the most was the hosts. They helped us with everything perfectly. Every morning perfect breakfast. They will give you tips for places to see and restaurants to eat. They are always ready to answer your questions

GermanyWe’ve got the room in the top floor, which got pretty hot during the night because the wall was exposed to the sun during the day . Running the ac during the night was not an option for us. I assume the other levels stay much colder during the night! Also, the toilet started to smell after not flushing for some time. Closing the door to the bathroom however solved the issue.
Super nice staff

CanadaThe breakfast that was included was fantastic, with lovely traditional pastries and coffee (the coffee was really delicious, and probably the best coffee I had in Merekesh). They even accommodated me being gluten-free with some additional yoghurt and fresh fruit.

PhilippinesNone so far.
The riad is closest to all key locations in the Medina of Marrakech. A 15 minute walk to Ben Youssef Medersa. A 20 minute walk to Dar El Bacha, Le Jardin Secret. And a less than 10 minute walk to the Djemaa el Fna square, Place d’Epices, and to high-rated restaurants like: L’Mida, Nomad, and Café des Epices. There is a new colorfully designed restaurant beside the Riad named Bendir that serves mouth-watering delicious Moroccan food. The rooms are clean & the bed + pillows are soft and feels like home. There is a lounging area in the rooftop with great views in the center (of the center) of old Marrakech especially during sunrise and sunset. The surroundings are silent and provides a respite from the intense energy of the nearby square and souks. Most of all the family who owns the Riad is very warm, helpful, & attentive to your needs. Will come back again and stay here.

United KingdomI would suggest to put a sign of the Riad at the main road in medina, so people know where to turn as google maps doesn't point exactly where the Riad is.
The hosts were the most kind, helpful people we met in all Morocco. Really liked the room, it was big and comfortable. The bed was also big and comfortable. The terrace was very cute and cozy.
