How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewA very attractive, well located property. Our room was very well appointed, the bed was large and comfortable with good quality linens. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Communication was excellent, e.g. when we needed help with getting to the property with luggage after dropping off the hire car, they gave directions to our taxi driver and had a staff member waiting to help us take our luggage through the Medina labyrinth to the property. Similarly, help with transport arrangements to the airport. Would stay there again without hesitation.

Verified reviewWonderful riad, excellent quality, furnished simply and beautifully. From the moment we walked in from a very long day of travel from the desert we relaxed in this welcoming, tranquil and comfortable riad. It also was fragranced with the wonderful scent of cactus throughout the communal areas. The staff Azdein, Aja and Hakim were so very kind. A number of thoughtful touches, offers of help and fantastic customer service really meant a lot to us. We had 2 standard rooms, both were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Showers were powerful, bed large and comfortable, plenty of hangars, powerful hairdryer, water and a selection of sweet treats were also provided, such a nice touch. We had just a one night stay, wish it was longer. I wouldn't hesitate to return here.
Everything was wonderful. If I could suggest one improvement, I would like the riad to add more bathroom products

Verified reviewNothing much. It’s not aging well. Staff is friendly but not as welcoming as in other places.
The pool area is really aging badly. Needs to be repainted. I was here in 2022, loved everything, but super disappointed this time. You can see the owners don’t really care.
Dear Laurent, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to read that your recent stay did not meet the expectations you had from your previous visit in 2022. Please be assured that we do care deeply about our riad and our guests’ experience. We are currently undertaking renovation work on the rooftop area, including the pool and surrounding spaces, to refresh and preserve the authentic charm of the house — some of this work had already started during your stay, which may have affected your impression. We’re also sorry to hear that you felt less warmth from the team this time; our staff genuinely strives to make every guest feel welcome, and your comment will be shared with them so that we can improve. We truly appreciate your honesty, as it helps us continue to evolve and maintain the level of hospitality that so many of our guests enjoy. We do hope you might consider returning in the future to rediscover Riad Louhou at its best. Warm regards, Sophie & the Riad Louhou Team

Verified reviewGreat location, nicely hidden away.
When asking for the breakfast on the roof top offered by the manager the evening before, i am told to wait because not all staff is there. We got a standard breakfast with filter coffee. no option of tea or espresso. When eating the checkout early, the reception was unmanned.
Dear Evert, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand that a traditional Moroccan riad can be surprising for guests expecting the standards of a European-style hotel or B&B. However, a riad follows a very different philosophy: • Architecture is designed around an inner patio, which means some rooms do not have windows facing outside — this is intentional, to ensure privacy and natural coolness as per Moroccan tradition. • Service in a riad is meant to feel personal and discreet rather than standardized like in hotel chains. • Our rooftop and breakfast are actually among our most appreciated features, as reflected in the many reviews mentioning the generosity and quality of our fresh Moroccan breakfast. It is therefore incorrect to say that only a filter coffee was offered .Our guests consistently highlight the opposite experience. We invite future travelers to read the overwhelming number of positive reviews, which speak for themselves and reflect the true spirit of Riad Louhou far more accurately than this isolated comment. We wish you pleasant travels ahead.

Verified reviewWe only stayed one night, but it was such a lovely experience! Everything was new, super clean, and tastefully minimalist. The place smelled amazing, and every little detail made us feel comfortable — from the soft sheets to the generous stack of towels. The staff were so kind and even served us breakfast earlier because we had to catch a flight., We wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Verified reviewWe had an unforgettable stay in Marrakech, and Riad Louhou made it even more special. The riad is absolutely beautiful, perfectly located in the heart of the city, just a short walk from the Medina and the two palaces. The neighborhood felt very safe, and the facilities were excellent. Everything was spotless, and the team working there went above and beyond with their kindness and generosity. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and they even prepared it for us when we had very early departures for excursions and our flight—such a thoughtful gesture. Every detail was arranged with great care, making us feel truly welcome. We couldn’t have chosen a better place for our first trip to Morocco. We are so happy we stayed here and will definitely return on our next visit.

Verified reviewBeautiful peaceful spot away from the chaos of the medina, but only a very short walk away! The roof top pool was lovely and peaceful to cool down on a hot day. The breakfast was delicious and great showers!
There is nothing we could fault with this gorgeous place, other than we Would of liked a mini fridge in the room to keep water cool. However, it seems quite normal in Marrakech to not have fridges in rooms, especially Riads.

Breakfast was a bit sweet for our taste. Could have done with a sofa for our 2 week stay.

Verified reviewBeautiful property, great location easy to get out of the medina. The property really clean, smelt amazing to the point where I even bought the same oil back with me! The rooms were beautiful too! The staff were amazing and super helpful! Shoutout to the gentleman that worked the night shift he’s amazing!
We found more often than not that the pool wasn’t the cleanest but with it being a pool roof it’s hard to keep super clean but really a minor thing!

Room was abit dark, AC wasn’t working properly and so couldn’t have it lower than 23, was cool enough to stay but sometimes on the hotter days would’ve been nice to use the boost
Dear Sir, Thank you very much for your review and for staying with us. We are truly sorry that the air conditioning did not fully meet your expectations. Marrakech summers can be particularly hot, and sometimes the systems are put under great pressure when set at very low temperatures. We are, however, delighted that you appreciated the cleanliness of the Riad and, above all, the kindness of our team. Offering our guests a welcoming and comfortable stay is our greatest priority, and your kind words encourage us to keep doing so with even more care. We would be very happy to welcome you again and make your next stay an even better experience. Warmest regards, The management

Verified reviewRiad Louhou was a tranquil and beautiful place to stay in the medina. The room was spotless and tastefully decorated. The staff were so friendly and helpful and we loved the breakfast each morning. We also appreciated the anniversary present they gave us and the effort they put into making our stay so enjoyable. The rooftop terrace was the perfect place to relax after a day exploring Marrakech.

Verified reviewThe location - nestled in a quiet streets, but still with access to the tombs and the big square (tinsmiths) The rooftop - is lovely and having the pool is much needed when temperatures were high! And there is a lot of privacy too The room - air-conditioned, always clean. The staff - I can’t remember everyone’s name bar Azrin/Aztin (probably spelt wrong, but thank you for the cigarette talks) all very lovely and a lovely introduction to Moroccan people culture.
Due to our room on the small side it was a bit tricky fitting are cases, but we managed.
