Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt is an oasis of calm and relaxation in an otherwise busy area. A fantastic location to get a true insight into Marrakesh. The staff were superb - Suleyman and his colleague were exceptionally helpful, kind and considerate and they welcomed us each morning with beautiful smiles, a lovely traditional breakfast and good information. They also gave us great insights into the city and were great at making/recommending trips and visits. We feel very lucky to have chosen this Riad - you read reviews and always wonder if they are true, you look on social media to help you make your decision and in the end it is very much luck that you make the correct choice for you and your family! We were a party of four (with adult ‘children’) and felt our choice at Riad Jnan el Cadi was perfect. Thank you.

SpainIt's difficult to find but that's Marrakesh and nothing they can do about it.
The staff were great. We arrived quite late and were leaving at 6am. They got a taxi for us and had coffee made at 5.30am. He even took us to the taxi at 6am, so although we didn't have long at the Riad, we felt they were very accommodating.

United KingdomWe loved our stay at this riad! The location is superb – just a short walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa, Bahia Palace and the souks, so easy to explore the old city on foot. The staff were excellent – especially Soulie, who gave us a map, great advice, and even helped book a tuk-tuk to Jardin Majorelle. We also arranged an airport pickup through the riad and it was so worth it – our driver was like a guide, showing us both the old and new city on the way in. Breakfast on the rooftop was another highlight – fresh crepes, fruit, juice and Moroccan tea served with such warmth.

IrelandWe did have a few ants in the room but we probably didn't help this by having food left lying around. The wifi was patchy and worked better in one room than the other. Generally not much to dislike though!
Firstly, the staff, Abdul and Suleiman were really great and very helpful and giving with their advice. The pool on the roof although small was fantastic to cool off after 46 C heat and the kids loved it. The location is very central and it is fantastic to stay in an authentic Moroccan style Riad in the heart of the Medina. We were concerned about our family's late arrival but as planned we had a driver waiting at the airport and then Abdul to came to meet the car and walk us into the Riad in the middle of the night - great start to the trip.

United KingdomWe really struggled to sleep as the room for 5 people only has air con in on bedroom and not the main room. It was 43 degrees in the daytime so particularly warm!
This Riad was so beautiful in the heart of Marrekesh. The staff were so welcoming and the pool was so refreshing in the evenings and lunchtimes. Nothing was too much hassle. The breakfast was delicious too.

HungaryThe manager spoke really well in english, he and all the staff was wonderfully helpful. They waited for us at the airport with a minibus and after we arrived, the manager sat us down with a map and provided all the directions, useful informations and tips for our stay in Marrakesh (including safety tips, very useful!!!) They helped us book transfers, organize desert trip, and were available 24/7. Having a pool is an essential when staying in Marrakesh, this place has a clean one and we could use it late in the evening as well. Big thumbs up, thank you. Breakfast was authentic, and they provided wine or beer for a reasonable price for guests who requested it. Had fresh towels every day put in our room, and the rooms were tidy. Air condition worked well, but didn't need it really because of good air ventillatiom in the rooms. Location also great: this place is a quiet escape from the jungle of the Medina in a small street, while being in the center of it.
