How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewClean, nice room, great breakfast, friendly staff.
Not as advertised, no spa and wellness centre, the junior suite in the photos had towel art and rose petals, ours did not. We paid for riad Les Olivier's but looks as though we stayed in riad Les oranges

Verified reviewIt looked nice, located in the Souk and staff were friendly and helpful
The water in the swimming pool (chlorine) was quite strong and I ended up scratching all day. The drinks available were very limited

Verified reviewOverall, our stay was okay. The only issue we had (which ruined our whole experience with this Riad) is that there was no one available to help us with checkout. We explicitly informed the staff that we would be checking out in the morning around 7am (not that early!) as we had to catch a flight. When the time came, there was no one available, all lights off and all doors locked, despite our multiple attempts to locate someone to help. As a result we had to leave without checking out properly otherwise we would have missed our flight home. Since reaching home, I have been trying to pay for the city charge that was due despite the Riad acknowledging it was their fault and apologising for the inconvenience. It has been impossible to deal with them and even told me to transfer the balance to the riad worker’s personal bank account (incredibly suspicious!). They are not a professional business and I will not recommend them to anyone.
Thank you for your letter which I do not agree with you on because the employees were kind to you and do their best to make your vacation to be good as they decorated your room with red roses and balloons on the occasion of your wedding anniversary. This is not their reward from you. You really left without paying the bill and left the employee in charge at night to bear these expenses himself. But when they contacted you to actually do your duty you did not deny it but you have not done it until now and in addition to that you asked us not to write to you anymore. Where is your conscience in this? You left an employee to pay those two things for you instead of thanking them you wrote a bad feedback

Verified reviewThe riad is beautiful and extremely well designed with multiple courtyards and seating areas. Both pools were lovely (main courtyard and rooftop), and the roof was very comfortable for hanging out. The family suite was perfect for our family of 3 and provided plenty of space. Yassine was super helpful and helped us get our laundry washed and helped us find a driver we needed for a transfer later in the trip. Would definitely stay here again.
The riad is located about an 8 minute walk from where a car can drop you off and you need to navigate your way through the medina to find the riad. It worked out fine for us, but if you are not a confident traveler I could imagine this would feel daunting.

Verified reviewWe absolutely loved everything about our stay at this riad. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a true haven – a calm, peaceful retreat right in the midst of the lively and chaotic streets of Marrakech. The air conditioning was an absolute necessity in the searing 44-degree summer heat, and we were so grateful for how cool and comfortable the rooms stayed. The riad itself is beautifully kept – spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and full of charming details that made it feel really special. The staff were wonderful – always polite and attentive without ever being intrusive. They provided us with fresh water regularly, which was much appreciated in the heat, and there was always an abundance of soft, fluffy towels to hand. The pools were a dream – cool, clean, and perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the city. And the breakfasts were nothing short of amazing – fresh, varied, and delicious every morning. Truly a wonderful place to escape the noise and bustle of the medina. We wouldn't hesitate to return and wholeheartedly recommend this riad to anyone looking for a tranquil, luxurious base in Marrakech.
Nothing.

Verified reviewAmazing location, beautiful interior and best of all - the staff, esp Amina were just so lovely. Amina couldn't have done enough for us, from helping us negotiate with a seller and deal with a tricky local (we were two ladies travelling alone). He was kind, professional and so knowledgeable. I'd go back tomorrow if I could - the perfect little Riad and a slice of peace away from the energy of the souks.
thank you Georgia for your lovely comment ( my name is Amine not Amina )

Verified reviewWe loved the people , the breakfast , the heated pool and the welcome tea!
We had a few issues. The curtains we got at first did not cover the light but the staff quickly resolved the issue by placing some temporary courtains, however we could then not have natural light during our stay. The wifi was also a problem at first as it was nor very good, later on it became better as they installed a new router in the room. The bed was like sleeping on the floor, extremely hard so we didn’t enjoy that part but we were told all beds in the property were the same. Overall for the price we paid we thought it was a good deal but it kinda felt as if the room we had was the worst in the entire property so i suppose that was the reason for the reduced price. all in all it was great and the staff was so nice, we loved all the interactions we had as they always made us feel welcome.

Verified reviewDown a laneway in the bustling Medina just off Ben Youssef square this Riad is so quiet and a lovely escape. We woke to sounds of the birds in the orange trees . On our arrival evening we booked dinner and it was just us and so authentic and delicious and great value. Highly recommend doing a Massage at the Riad too. The indoor pool is a little too close to the public area and breakfast tables but we loved the refreshing cold pool on the rooftop taking in some sunshine too. We had breakfast on the rooftop on our last morning which was most enjoyable. The bedroom was spacious like a 2 bed suite for 2 adults and 2 teens. Really comfortable and daily housekeeping service too. We were very well looked after and it is a great value for the quality. Delighted to recommend.

Verified reviewThis is a beautiful Riad. The staff also really made this place - as the face of the Riad, Yassine went above and beyond, and nothing was too much bother for him. He was such a warm, joyful, and welcoming host. Yassine takes the time to make everyone feel at home, and made some excellent suggestions about how to barter in the souks, how to be safe at night (as a lone female traveller) and even popped out to pick me up a data top-up for my phone. Whilst staying at the Riad, I had 2 x one-hour massages. This Riad has two secret weapons by the names of: Souade, and Bouchra. Both women were simply OUT OF THIS WORLD! I have had A LOT of massages in my time, and these two women would certainly take the top prize for being utterly PERFECT in every way. Mark my words, you will remember these massages for the rest of your lives!!!
Nothing. I had a delightful stay.

Verified reviewBeautiful Riad in the middle of Marrakesh, staff were great, breakfast was good.
Although the location is very central, it has its downside, no car can access to it, so every time need to walk to a road to catch a taxi for example. Bed was too hard.
