How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewNice and accommodating staff. Gave us mint tea on arrival and breakfast even though we left early. Excellent location near Jemaa el Fna, although the riad was harder to find the first time because no signage in the streets. Minimal decor and our bathroom had a smell but not unbearable.

Verified reviewCentral location, close to square. Many of these Riads are down small side streets, this is no exception just so you are aware. That did not bother us particularly and the staff came to meet us from the transfer. Airport transfer worth arranging through the Riad.
Breakfast was nice but was generally later than agreed.

Verified reviewThe location is incredibly convenient, just a 5-minute walk from Jema El-Fna. Despite limited English and French, we were able to communicate well with the receptionist, who was very kind and soft-spoken !

Verified reviewPerfect location, like a quiet island in the nosy Medina, with a nice yard to drink coffee, tea or to dine and with a very friendly and welcoming host. He takes his time to welcome and talk to you in a polite and cheerful manner, helps you with following transports and prints your boarding pass if necessary.
Thank you Cacile

Verified reviewTarik was a perfect host the better host can't be found nearly anywhere!!! Service was kind and he did everything to get a quest satisfied. The uttermost act was borrowing money because my credit card didn't worh in Morocco - AMAZING!!! The other guy (was Maruk, I'm not sure) was excellent as well. They both made overall feeling of kindness and warmth – like home! Location was near everything, especially the big market square in spite of that the room was quiet. The bed was just for me and it gave a very good sleep. Nights were cold and a heater was good. Breakfast was good, especially the fresh orange juice was heavenly good as well as two suppers I took at the roof terrace. This is the choice for you who doesn't want to stay in the sterile chain hotels, the reason why I selected this and didn't get disappounted! I really recommend!!!
The height of the bed was low and with (my) aching leg it was quite difficult to stand up – don't worry! The hotel is not reachable by car. You have to walk 300 - 400 meters depending on location, where taxi leaves you. This was not a problem for me at all, burI just inform other quests not to be disappointed. There was a building constuction in "home" street, but that was nor a hotel failure. Not noisy, but sometimes it was quite difficult to walk trough.

Verified reviewvery helpful owner, nice room, absolutely amazing bathroom but.. if the window is not left open in the room for most of the time, you can feel dampness after all day. daily cleaning and filling up all needed toiletries. distance to the main quarter- just in the middle of Medina. easy to reach any place for excursion pick ups. friendless of every staff member Limited choice of breakfast but we were aware of the type of food served in Arabic countries in the morning. Not for fussy Britis expecting ...'all day breakfast" with sausages, eggs, baked beans etc.😉🤪
downside: lady cleaning the room hasn't spotted that bedding required to be changed so we had same bedding not changed for all our stay.
the bedding was changed after 4 nights.

Verified reviewThe property is like 5 minutes away from the Jamaa el fna, its safe to walk back during late night. The rooms have a nice traditional moroccan touch and are very clean, the lady cleans the room everyday with clean towels. The riad its really cute with the jardin and the terrace where you can have breakfast. Everyday the breakfast its different, and have a lot of option in terms of food and drinks. The owner is professional and very helpful, as well the other guy who works there. They will try the best to make you happy and to solve any problems such as printing your boarding pass or taxi etc..
