How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewEverything. Every. Thing. This place is the definition of perfect. The location (outside Marrakesh, not too far not too close), the staff (Mustafa the friendly guy from Senegal was my favourite, but every one of them are always smiling, polite and helpful), the place itself (authentic, beautiful Riad built all natural, the interior design is breath-taking. We spent 90% of our time there just looking at the place. I am not exaggerating.) And last but not least, the host. Oh my god. Never have I ever met a better host than her. She was very friendly from the first moment. She walked us through the Riad, showed us everything and told a lot of interesting stories about the building. Her English is very good which we found uncommon in Morocco, another great quality. She immediately helped with collecting coins for collection. Even called some friends to help out. We really felt that we were in special care, and we felt very safe. And on top of that, she has that big boss energy that really shows that she is a real, strong woman. In addition, when we booked we didn't even notice that the Riad is child-free, that is an immensely positive thing in my opinion. This place is the deifinition of relaxation and calmness. I can't recommend it enough to anyone who wants to have a quiet time with 110% relax. The rooftop is a gem as well, and their tea is one of the best we have tasted during our 11 day trip. Thank you very much for letting us stay, if we are ever in Morocco our first stop is going to be this Riad. Insallah.
That we could't stay more.

Verified reviewThe place was beautiful and just like described in the picture. The host and the reception was good and all the facilities worked well, we liked the terrace and spent sometime there.
The location was far from any attraction, and was a little pricey to move to the city centre

Verified reviewFrom the very start, our brilliant host went above and beyond to welcome and accommodate us. From mint tea on arrival to booking taxis, we were lucky to find a relaxing oasis outside the bustle of central Marrakesh (it is a half hour drive from the centre but taxis are easily arranged with Riad guests benefitting from reduced rates). Our room was exceedingly clean and comfortable and the communal area includes a beautiful courtyard and rooftop terrace. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast with generous portions - we were really impressed by the quality of the cooking. Thank you to Moustafa also for welcoming us. We wished we could have extended our stay.

Verified reviewAt first we were nervous because we’ve never been to Morocco, but we took a taxi straight from the airport to the riad and were immediately greeted with tea from the amazing manger, Rashid. Throughout our stay, he went so much more than above and beyond for us - helping organise taxis, guided trips, breakfast and dinner, a sahara desert tour and so much amazing mint tea. I can say with certainty I would not have fell in love with Morocco as much as I did without the impeccable service and hospitality he provided. The rooms are gorgeous, the rooftop is beautiful and the Riad as a whole is just stunning. While we were a little worried about being a bit far from the city centre of Marrakech (medina), it was the easiest thing to go into town with the help of Rashid. The location is peaceful with a gorgeous view of the stars and surrounding areas tranquil. Thank you so so much for the unforgettable experiences and memories, we hope to come visit again!
It’s a little difficult to get there for the first time if you are not in a local taxi as the signs and directions on google maps can be a bit vague.

Verified reviewWe had the most wonderful stay at this riad, and it was truly made special thanks to Rashid. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to make us feel at home. He was always there with a warm smile, incredibly helpful with everything we needed, and genuinely friendly in a way that made our experience unforgettable. Rashid took care of every detail to ensure we felt comfortable and relaxed, and thanks to him, we enjoyed our time here to the fullest. It really felt less like staying in a hotel and more like being welcomed into a family. The riad itself is beautiful, but what truly makes it exceptional is the care and kindness of Rashid. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we are so grateful. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll not only enjoy the atmosphere but also feel truly looked after, this is the perfect choice. Thank you 🙏💫

Verified reviewBeautiful Riad, Rachid is very welcoming. Very fresh enviroment, quiet place to rest. The terrace upstaird is great spot once the sun sets.
If you arrive by bus follow the arrow and turn to the right a bit before the Mosque, the path can be hard to find !

Verified reviewWe had a great stay at Riad Oum H&M. It is just outside of busy Marrakech, which was brilliant for us as we could enjoy a quiet night and better sleep. They also run a taxi service for a very good price and always have drivers available. We were greeted by the owner K and manager Rashid, who had prepared us a stunning Berber breakfast beside the pool of the Riad. There was so much food that we couldn’t eat until dinner that night, this came free with the room. Everything was prepared by the chefs in the Riad and we were constantly topped up with traditional Moroccan tea as well as coffee. The customer service we had from Rashid was second to none. Absolutely first class. He went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed and wanted during our stay. Booked our day trips and arranged our transport. My card was swallowed when we were at an ATM in Marrakech and Rashid ensured that we got a taxi to pick us up and made provisions to ensure that we still managed to get on our hot air balloon ride the next day, despite not having the card. We will definitely return as the Riad was beautiful and traditional. Rashid’s hospitality and the service we received alone would be worth a return. I highly recommend this place.

Verified reviewAs two young girls, we felt so safe and comfortable here, the staff made us feel so welcome and at home. We cannot get over how lovely the staff was! They provided us with anything we asked for and were so hospitable. The Riad looks exactly like the photos - if anything, it is even more stunning in real life! We were blown away every time we saw the Riad. We highly recommend staying here. It is so peaceful, comfortable, clean, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The only downside was the location - it is a 30 min drive from the city of Marrakech. It is in the middle of nowhere, which is lovely if you are looking for peace and quiet and don’t mind travelling everyday into the city. Just bear in mind that there is nothing else around but the staff are very helpful and provide you with anything you need! They gave us a lovely, hospitable taxi driver who provided us a good rate and was always a message away which made the location downside easier.
