How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location offered exceptional convenience, situated near the center of Madina. The staff, particularly Aicha, provided outstanding assistance and service. For those seeking an authentic Riad experience, we highly recommend this establishment.
Nothing with the accommodation but a majority of morrocan would help you for simple things but prepare to pay them. Taxis seems to rip off tourist with a very very high rate. Be brave to negotiate and say no to locals and make sure you got cash at all times thou a few bigger restaurant will accept card.
Hi ROBERTO, Thank you so much for the compliments. It was a great pleasure dealing with you. Hope to see you again in the future. Aicha

Verified reviewRiad Safia is Beautiful! It’s even better than the pictures, with really comfortable beds. A lovely cool, quiet and comfortable oasis from the busy streets outside! With lovely refreshing pool. Aisha is so kind and welcoming, and couldn’t have been more helpful. She gave us all the information we needed to enjoy our stay in Marrakesh and helped us navigate the 20 minutes walk to Jemaa El-Fnaa square. Breakfast was delicious and they even helped with collecting us to and from where the taxi dropped us. Only a couple of minutes walk but we would have struggled to find it on our own!

Verified reviewGreat hosts!! They genuinely want you to enjoy! The lady that works there was incredibly sweet and was so caring, and the man was very helpful with arranging taxis, printing out boarding passes and being a bit of a tour guide. I would 100% recommend! The rooms were rustic but very Moroccan and I had a great experience!

Verified reviewI stayed at this riad during my trip to Marrakesh and honestly, it was perfect. Tucked away in the medina, it felt like a calm little hideaway from the busy streets outside. The moment I walked in, I was greeted so warmly—it really felt like coming home. The riad itself is gorgeous—charming, peaceful, and full of beautiful little details. My room was spotless, with lovely traditional touches that made it feel really special. The whole place had this laid-back, welcoming vibe that I absolutely loved. The staff were amazing—so kind and helpful, always happy to give help with anything I needed. They really went out of their way to make my stay feel special. If you’re heading to Marrakesh and want a beautiful, peaceful place to stay right in the middle of it all, I can’t recommend this riad enough. I’ll definitely be coming back!
I liked everything about this property!

Verified reviewThe rooms were more impressive than the photos showed, especially our room with the beautiful ceiling. The outdoor spaces - courtyard and terrace - were lovely. The terrace has loungers, shaded sitting area and large table and chairs, Breakfast was freshly made warm crepe/fried bread plus rolls with honey and jam. There are only 5 rooms, so it is quiet and intimate. The area is 'real' Medina - local vendors selling their produce at the side of the road, donkeys and carts and mopeds and cats and people somehow finding space to go about their business. But only 15-20 minutes to the main square. Aicha is just the best hostess, whose aim is to help every guest enjoy their time in the City.
Hi Arlene, thank you so much for the compliments and the détails nicely described GOD BLESS YOU. I will be so happy to receive you again and again in the futur with freinds or membres of your family. yours sincerly Aicha

Verified reviewThe riad is in perfectly and tactical located, from there you have everything you need walking distance, from cultural activities to taxi and tours meetup. Aisha, the manager is one of the best humans being I ever met, she will go above everything you can expect to guarantee you're having a great experience in Marrakesh, just to mention one thing, I got lost and texted her to resend the location but instead she promptly came to rescue me at the street market, she will also make sure you're going to good sanitized restaurants and offer an amazing breakfast at the riad. The chef is a very talented sweet lady and the assistant is also really welcome, the lack of language won't be a problem, Aisha speaks English perfectly. I will extremely recommend this Riad to anyone and I'll definitely stay with them again.
Hi REDONDO, thank you so much for the compliments. I appreciate it a lot. It was great pleasure meeting and knowing you .I will be very happy to seeing you again in the futur . Aicha

Verified reviewThe property was a good value for money and has this Morocco’s rich architectural design. The staffs were amazing and very happy especially the lady in charge, she went extra mile so many times to assist us, The breakfast was amazing.
Nothing apart from the two men from the Nabour hood that disturbed us a bit when we were trying to locate the place insisting that we give them tips but after speaking with the lady managing the Riad , she apologised even though the situation was not her fault, she even went on to speak to the guys in question asking them not to bother her guests again, we became completely settled and happy. I will recommend this place for anyone, for your Moroccan Riad vibes and hospitality

Verified reviewRiad Safia was exactly what I needed in Marrakech — a calm, modest place to rest my head each night after exploring a stunning city. The decor is beautiful in its simplicity, the bed comfortable and the atmosphere homely. The riad is based in Bab Aylan, a traditional neighbourhood of the medina - a part yet untouched by the touristy hustle and bustle of the souks/Jemaa el-Fnaa, which are a 15 minute walk away. I was greeted by the hosts Aicha and Abderrahim at the airport itself and Aicha made me feel completely at home straight away, as we spoke about different topics and she answered any questions I had. Throughout my stay, Aicha was always available with a warm smile, happy to chat, give advice, or just check in to see how my visit to Marrakech was going. Abderrahim is a kind soul and Saida was also friendly, both were very accommodating and are real assets to the riad. All three were more than happy to help with anything and everything throughout my stay. Riad Safia is a place of real warmth and personality, the kind of place where you feel looked after. If I ever return to Marrakech, I know exactly where I'll be staying!
