How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewGreat central location. The guys were very friendly and always ready to help, which made us feel really welcome. The bohemian vibe and interior design matched our taste perfectly.
Our ground floor room was cozy and beautifully decorated — it didn’t get a lot of daylight, but it added to the snug, peaceful atmosphere. I imagine the rooms upstairs are brighter for those who prefer more natural light.

It is a bit tricky to find at first, but The Bohemian Jungle provides you all the tools you need so you don’t get lost and feel confident to tackle Marrakech!

Verified reviewWhere to begin. The riad was a little piece of paradise, beautifully orchestrated with a traditional, exotic ambience by three delightful young men from the Sahara region. The scent was incredible, the nightly ritual of lighting the lamps, and the soft traditional music playing in the background made me feel as though I was in another world. The three gentlemen running the riad were simply wonderful. They run the riad with a professional, effortless, calm, vibe. They constantly ask if you're OK or want anything. Their attention to detail is faultless. I have been to Marrakech 5 times and stayed in various riads from budget to high end. The Bohemian Jungle is by far the best. It's a stunning environment, true to the authentic morroccan culture. Cleanliness was a priority throughout, and the guest's needs always catered for. The breakfast was plentiful, and a hearty start to each day. There are tourists who moan about lack of TVs in some riads. I hope The Bohemian Jungle stays true to riad culture and doesn't change or modernise anything. There is Gueliz and hotels for people wanting those kinds of things. Thank you all for one of the most beautiful experiences of my entire life. Mohamed, your genuine smile will be forever imprinted in my heart. Ismail, thank you for sharing your music with me and introducing me to traditional Amazigh sounds. Hassan, thank you for showing me hospitality. I have so many amazing memories of my week in your riad, I will treasure forever...
There is absolutely nothing to comment negatively on at this riad..

Verified reviewTucked down quiet paths, Bohemian Jungle was a little oasis. Beautifully decorated with real attention to detail: orange oil scent, gentle Moroccan music. The rooms are fabulous with everything you need: towels, robes, air con etc. and all open on to the riads central courtyard which is full of plants and a beautiful plunge pool. The roof top is glorious, part sheltered, part open. The hosts, Hassan and Ismael were absolutely lovely people. Attentive, warm, friendly, helpful. I can’t imagine a more perfect place to stay in Marrakech. We didn’t have time to go out on any trips, but we will be back as we were so sad to leave! Bohemian Jungle is possibly the loveliest place I have ever stayed.

Verified reviewWhere can I start? The staff is wonderful. Mohammed is being the star. He is such a nice guy, always available, attentive, ready to help with his most kind ways, the other guys are amazing too, Hassan and Ismael. There is nothing that this staff cannot do, they are multi language and they surprised us with concert every evening. Hassan plays guitar and others join with other instruments and sing their traditional music together. The music is so soft to ears. The property is wonderfully decorated, with the latest trend, very Instagram savvy; it's in the hearth of the medina. Someone definitely put a lot of thinking and decorated the Riad with all handcrafts you may find selling in Marrakesh or throughout the Morrocco. The breakfast is fulfilling; fruit salad and freshly squeezed orange juice were my favorites. The traditional breads & honey and fruit jams were my sister's favorite. We highly recommend this Riad in every way possible. We had the best Moroccan experience with this riad and its wonderful staff. Thank you everyone who works in the Riad, again and again!

Verified reviewThis was a real riad that had the atmosphere like from 1000 and 1 night story with its decoration , flying birds, nature and the pool. We were welcomed by heart by Ismael, Mohamed and Hassan whose English was excellent. They 3 were charming men and very well behaved towards all guests with a polite talk - were helpful all the time . They were playing guitars , drums and singing tinariwen music and taught my son - and he loved so much . Also a beautiful music or fragrance were bringing me closer to orient . Breakfast was different every day with a big variety and quality. Also our room - so beautiful decorated with a very comfortable bed. Big thank you for women who were making our room every day . I will recommend this riad to everyone . Great rest .

Smail, Mohamed, Nouredine take care of us like we were part of their family, explaining souk, Jamaa El fna place and giving us good advises on where to go and where to the eat. All were great advises. You can go there with no doubt. We will for sure come back again.
