Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Beautiful cabin with beautiful view, in a perfect location to explore Durmitor. It had everything we needed as a family of four. We appreciated the bottle of wine that was left for us. We would definitely come back!

SerbiaThe bed seemed a bit hard to us.
Amazing location with scenic view of one of the beautiful Durmitor peaks - "Savin Kuk". The house is perfectly oriented and located at the top of the hill. The road to the house is pretty well - there's no problem reaching it with the usual car. The house is well equipped, very cozy, and comfortable. It has a solid fuel heating system, so you can see the flame in the evening, and it makes it super atmospheric. Overall, there's enough space inside, you have two isolated bedrooms on the second floor. Location is very close to the hiking trails - you don't need a car to get anywhere.

MontenegroNot something that host can directly control, but keep in mind that your peace and quiet depends on who stays next door because we had a couple with two small children as neighbours, so it wasnt peace and quiet anymore, since there was no railing preventing kids to spend some time on our terrace too, cabins are veeery close to each other.
Spectacular view! Beautiful surroundings! If you like to explore, location is excellent, you can walk to Black Lake and Zminje Lake easily. Ask host how to get there before coming to easily find the place. Kitchen well equipped. Center of Zabljak only 5-10 min away by car, so you are close but not in the middle of crowded town which was exactly what we wanted.

NetherlandsThe space or distance between each stair tread is somewhat too large and not all are with the same distance from another. There is no safety strip on the tread so anyone can slip and fall because there is no railing to hold on to. To get to this house isn't easy and the long and winding road is too narrow to fit passing cars, in many places there are deep potholes too. Google Maps App helps, car navigation may or may not work depending on the manufacturer and its update.
The little house is positioned as such that one may have beautiful view of the valley and mountain at any time during the daylight. The tranquility is excellent.

FinlandThere are two separate cottages very close to each other on the plot, and both have their own terraces with a wonderful view. The place is isolated in a good way and the environment is really quiet. We spent 4 nights there and the cabin next to us had different people every night. Fortunately, there were no problems because people who value silence and the peace of nature will probably come here. The views from the terrace of the cottage are great. The cottage is also well equipped. We used the washing machine and the laundry dried quickly outside. Every morning we ate breakfast on the terrace and in the evenings we went to restaurants. You should definitely stay here for at least 3 nights and visit the Black Lakes, Tara Canyon, Pluzine/Piva Lake.

ChinaThe road to the house is very narrow, seems one way but it’s not. We have to drive so consciously as suddenly there may have an opposite car heading to you.
The house is new and clean. The view is excellent though it is quite cold to sit outside. The host can always be reached when we need help. I think it is a good place for those travel for skiing. The lift chair is just quite near the house.

United KingdomWe soon learnt most places in Montenegro want paying in cash for stays which can be a bit awkward to begin with. The electricity tripped out a few times on our stay. I understand its remote but we had food in the freezer which we ended up having to throw away.
Amazing views, our kids loved the cabin. Set a few miles away from Zabljak, so naturally beautiful. The cabins were new, very clean, great TV choice and good WiFi. Kitchen was well equipped and washing machine was very good. A perfect get away cabin with ery friendly hosts

United StatesThe only downside was the road, ask owners before getting there which road to follow because Google Map can bring you elsewhere.

ItalyAs the hut is in the mountains, do not expect much around. I highly recommend getting a car before going to Zabljak - we were told there's no rental car available in the city. We ended up doing things by foot, what can be exhausting since the closest store or bus station is +5km away going up/down the mountains. Taxi from Zabljak costed us €15. If renting a car is not an option, get some groceries before going up. They do offer a Dolce Gusto coffee machine, but you need to bring your capsules. Otherwise, you can use the supplies offered to prepare Turkish coffee.
The view is simply amazing! The hut was super clean and everything looked brand new. They offer the basic amenities and kitchen supplies. We got there much earlier than check-in time and were able to leave our luggage there and explore the surrounding. They have 2 lovely dogs that followed us during the hiking 😍

LithuaniaThe matresses are very hard, impossible to sleep. The house does not retain heat at all, so you have to keep AC turned on all the time which is noisy. When we arrived it was 12 degrees inside the house and it took 3 hours to heat up properly. Bathroom never heats up and is cold all the time. Host did not give proper directions, only gave location pin and so Google Maps led us through the wrong road which was impossible to drive through.
The view is amazing!! The place is clean. Kitchen has everything you need.

United KingdomA few comments rather than dislikes: Owners should give directions to the property as Google maps sends you along very rough tracks. There is no air con upstairs so it gets very hot at night. This means you need to open the window and being in the country, it can get noisy with dogs barking and agricultural noise early in the morning. The owners want paying in cash, wish we knew this before we got there. Our fault but lack of knowledge of English by the hosts meant we had a few language barriers.
The views from the property were incredible, it was lovely to sit out in the morning having breakfast or in the evening and look out over the mountains. The hosts were friendly and always available when you needed them. They really were lovely. The location was fantastic for access to the national park, Black Lake and other trails could not have been better. The property was spacious and had all the equipment required for four people.
