How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

None. All good, really, please go and visit the friendly family.
The owner is very friendly. Her daughter could translate in English for us. She is also more than lovely. So helpful. The place is quiet, clean, new and very complete. As parents we had a nice bed, our son had a lower bed, but perfect. The room is on the first floor, own entrance. We could sit outside in front of the house. The owners have a lot of good advise what to visit. We liked the dog. He's very friendly and quiet. You can walk to some shops and restaurents. We also had breakfast in the village Zabljak. At lot to do and see around. Thank you so much for your kindness.

Everything was perfect. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, gave us tips on where to visit, hikes etc. The apartment was clean, had all the amenities you need. It was so good we decided to stay an extra night.

This apartment was the perfect place for exploring Žabljak! The hosts were so lovely, they went above and beyond helping us when my partner twisted his ankle on a hike. The location was perfect and the unit was very clean and had everything we needed.

All good!
Everything was great! The hosts the most lovely people we have ever met on our travels. We loved their dog! It felt like home and we actually would like to keep contact with them. The studio apartment was exactly what we wanted, Cosy and private and good equipped. The apartment is very close to town and shop. Thank you to the daughter as well for perfect English ❤️

We have done an 10 day tour through Bosnia - Croatia - Albania - serbia - Kosovo - Fyrom. This was the best sleep we had and the kindest owners. The owner's daughter was so kind and lovely and she was excited for us for having a motorcycle. The room was very clean. It had everything we needed. In front of the house there is a yard that you can sit and enjoy your coffee. I have never given a 10/10 in my 108+ hotel reviews before.

Blackout curtains would be nice to keep the light out in the morning.
Very friendly owner that explained what to do and see in the area, lovely apartment with small kitchenette.

Nothing really
Very sweet hosts who made us feel welcome. Great studio with comfy beds and bathroom. It even had a heater which we used on a cold and rainy day. Good and quiet location, in walking distance from restaurants, shops and the park entry. The 12 year old daughter speaks fluently English! Would come again. Zabljak is a great base for hikes in the NP.

During our stay, there was water cuts daily in the evening/night. Just something to be aware of.
Super friendly host and her daughter than helped to translate in English. Supermarket 5 mins walk away. Room had a mini kitchen for cooking.

The place doesn't suit for 3 people. There are 3 beds, but you cant even open the door when it's open. No place to move around, the kitchen us the tiniest and xould not be used since it was so crowded. There's a yard, but we couldnt use it because the family had guests. There are about 10 big stairs to climb, it was very challenging for my mother. The owners checked almost everything in the facilities list but nost of it doesnt exist. Nets can be useful becauses we couldnt open the window and it was super hot (no a/c)
The english speaking girl was super nice!!
