Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe towels were really dirty, we asked them to change and we 2 different ones that were dirty like the previous ones. The dispenser of the shower gel was almost empty when we arrived. We asked if we could have more and I feel they only added water because both shampoo and shower gel were full of water. In the bathroom there was a constant smell of fish that was unbearable. We were only given one little toilet paper roll in the room. In the garden there are two poor parrots chained up all the time and it was really sad to watch.
The staff is really nice and the rooms are big.

United KingdomI found the shower gel and shampoo very watery but it did the job so no problem. Just different to what I'm used to. Trying to arrange an excursion with the hotel is difficult because if there are not many guests when you want to go then the hotel is unable to provide the excursion because they need a minimum amount of people to operate the excursion. That's no problem though as you can try with the hotel first and if it's not possible then you can book with one of the other companies on the island which are only a few minutes walk away. Try with the hotel first though to support the hotel you are staying in. I tried to book an excursion but there were not enough guests. Rather than booking elsewhere I just chose to explore the island, swim and look at nature. I still saw sharks and rays and colourful fish but for free 😁
This is a great hotel for those wanting to stay in The Maldives on a budget. The hotel is right by the harbour with great views of the sea and sunset. I stayed for 4 nights and the hotel was run by the same two members of staff. They were both very friendly and eager to help. There was sometimes a communication issue but that was ok, it gave us the opportunity to laugh and use my phone to explain more easily. The manager/chef Morshed and his assistant who is from Tibet were both great. Considering they were running the whole hotel themselves 24/7 I think they did an amazing job. The hotel was always clean, one of them was always available to help if needed, I had dinner two evenings and both times it was great. Yes it took a little bit of time but that's ok, you just plan this in and order food about an hour before you want to eat. Breakfast was different each morning which was nice and was always served very quickly as soon as I sat down and Morshed prepared me a takeaway breakfast on my last day as I was leaving early. It was nice to eat a hot breakfast on the ferry (Hot Tuna toasted sandwich, fried egg, sausage and fruit wrapped in tin foil to keep it separate). The hotel itself was very comfortable to relax in. I stayed upstairs which had a large shared balcony but whenever I wanted to use it I had it to myself which was amazing. Downstairs there is a nice garden area with seats, hammocks and areas to sit in the shade. I had no issues with the hotel rules or the manner of the staff. Any misunderstandings were simply resolved with patience and a smile. Sometimes things might get misunderstood when we all talk different languages. That's ok, that's what makes talking interesting as you find different ways to communicate. The town on the island is beautiful. The local people take pride in their home and so many homes are decorated with local artwork and gorgeous plants.

Mexicothere were no breakfast options (only one per day). Everywhere else we were able to receive the Maledivian option, which we enjoyed a lot. The smell in the bathroom is stronger than in other accommodations
good communication with the guesthouse. We enjoyed the hammocks and seating area in the sandy garden area. Nice view from the terrace. Also the big window in the rooms are very nice. Easy to reach by slow ferry or sheduled speed boat. We like the bikini beach a lot.

The staff was very helpful and nice. The garden area is great with many swings and hammocks. Great place to relax. Loved the cat that keeps visiting.

AustraliaDistance from bikini beach Could have utilised better view but still beautiful
This was a great stay for couple nights on Guraidhoo! Location was close to shops and harbour which was handy. Lots of common area to chill with breezy balcony to watch the sunset from. Staff were super helpful. I am allergic to gluten and I brought a bag of gluten free pasta with me which they cooked into a spaghetti bolognaise for me with no hassle! When island ATM was out of order they also helped me to pay the surfing guide also which relieved some stress. Staff always happy to greet me and help. I liked the small vibe of the accomodation it felt very peaceful and private. Only downside is it’s a little bit of a walk to the bikini beach.

MaldivesThis Guesthouse Is Extremely Poor, for the Following Reasons: 1. Accommodation Environment: The shower water smells bad, the room is unclean, and the cabinet is covered with stains. Additionally, the water quality is extremely poor, the buttons in the bathroom are dirty, and the body wash feels diluted—there is no texture of real body wash (see photos attached). At night, I saw geckos and ants crawling into the room. 2. The Owner’s Attitude Is Terrible: I had previously told him that I wanted to book a sea tour (see screenshots). Since I have a work visa, I asked if there was any discount for work visa holders. Later, he attacked me for this question, as if my inquiry about a discount had offended him. Even though I paid the full price, I went on the tour with him, his wife’s mother, and his wife. At that time, he told me, “Another guest is waiting for you, because she also knows you want to go on the tour.” I never expected that guest to be his wife’s mother. After that, I was alone on the boat putting on my life jacket and flippers, while the three of them went into the sea. So throughout most of the trip, his wife stayed with her mother, and I was left alone. The owner only showed up to tell me to move to another spot or remind me that time was up. I originally thought that joining a two-person group with a staff member would make me feel safer and more at ease. I told him I had booked two activities, but the duration was insufficient. We set sail at 11:10 and returned by speedboat at 12:40. During this time, I only got into the sea alone at 11:36, after finishing putting on my life jacket. The two activities I booked were turtle snorkeling and reef snorkeling, costing a total of 50 dollars. (I barely saw any coral—they probably changed the reef snorkeling to just fish watching.) According to the activity introduction, one activity should last 1 hour, and the other 2–3 hours.
The waitstaff were quite good and fairly enthusiastic.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Adroit Sunset View in Guraidhoo, Maldives. Ashraf and Katya are truly amazing hosts – warm, attentive, and always ready to guide you with helpful tips and tricks. They go above and beyond to make sure every guest feels cared for with genuine dedication. We joined several excursions with them, including snorkeling with colorful fish, turtles, sharks, and even majestic mantas – experiences that far exceeded our expectations. The guesthouse itself is very comfortable, clean, and quiet, making it a perfect retreat. As a modest couple, we felt completely safe here, and we believe this place is equally great for families or any type of traveler. The location is excellent, and the value for money is unbeatable. Our original booking was for 3 nights, but we loved it so much that we extended our stay for another 3 nights. This was our first trip here, and it has been unforgettable. Guraidhoo itself is a very local and peaceful island – not overcrowded, with an authentic Maldivian charm. There’s both a beautiful bikini beach and a modest beach, so everyone can feel comfortable. You can enjoy all kinds of activities here, from water sports to relaxing strolls. And of course, the sunsets are simply breathtaking. We can’t recommend Adroit Sunset View enough – it’s a hidden gem in the Maldives!

United KingdomI loved staying here, the room was large, with wardrobe, desk, tv (though I didn’t turn it on), great air con & wifi, comfortable bed, hot water, beautiful garden to relax in with hammocks & of course tables & chairs. The owner & his wife were great, really lovely people that want to do things right for the guests. You can book excursions, use the fridge, breakfast was good enough (I love breakfast), and really excellent value for money. Very near the fast boat drop off and near everything (shops, restaurants etc). This is the perfect island for diving, snorkelling or relaxing on the beautiful bikini beach, and I have stayed longer than I had planned.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this guesthouse—it truly felt like a home away from home. Everything was just perfect! The half‑board package included breakfast and dinner, both of which were fantastic—fresh, tasty, and full of variety. We also booked our excursions through Adroit. Every trip was well organized, smooth, and really enjoyable. Special shoutout to Ashra—he's super friendly, helpful, and made our experience even more memorable. The room was comfortable, spotless, and had a fresh feel to it. The staff cleaned nearly every day and regularly changed the bed linens. All in all, I was thrilled with everything—from the meals and the excursions to the service and atmosphere. Highly recommended
