How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewI loved absolutely everything about this hotel! One of the best I’ve stayed at. It’s a family run hotel, and once you walk in, they treat you like one more of them. They make sure you are well settled, they explain the island and places to see, and they also have a tour company with different excursions to offer, Gaadi Tours. Very friendly and professional, I had a great time!! The hotel is very clean, comfortable, the room was spacious and with everything you’ll need for your stay. Breakfast is very delicious and different every day. I wish I had stayed longer, and hope to return again!

Sa mga may work remotely, meron din Silang wifi na decent for working. 5 kaming adults with 1 baby on an excursion na naeenjoy namin lahat at ang galing ng guide nila by gaadi tours at expect Nyo na rin na maganda videos Nyo. Verified reviewA huge THANK YOU to Aroo and family for making our stay unforgettable. We booked the bigger room, everything was simple but comfortable. The breakfast was amazing every morning, especially the traditional MasHuni, loved loved loved it!!! A special thanks to Aroo's brother Achmad who dove out my husband's spectacles in the harbour which fell out as he was helping me onto the fishing boat on our first night there... and another special thanks to her other brother of Gaadi tours, who showed us an amazing day of seeing dolphins, swimming with turtles, nurse sharks, rays, some Blacktip Sharks watching us from the depths, snorkeling on a beautiful reef which felt like we were in an aquarium and a light snack on a sandbank in the middle of the ocean... Thanks to Gaadi and Ayaan for being our personal guides in the water. We had excellent weather even tho it was Monsoon season, definitely a beautiful local island with a beautiful bikini beach, quiet streets to meander, lovely restaurants and beautiful Masjids (that my husband attended). Can't thank them enough for the Amazing time spent there!!!

Verified reviewRooms are well-maintained, air-conditioned, and equipped with private bathrooms. We appreciate the cozy and homely feel. Just a short walk to Bikini Beach and close to snorkeling. There also equipped with free WIFI. Konut is family run business, we received a great service from Aroo, her cousin in Male, Labeen and Hassan, they are wonderful people. They also arranged our airport transfer and snorkelling and boat trips. Aroo prepared our breakfast with both local and continental options. Most importantly, its halal and available for breakfast, lunch nad dinner.
Bring mosquito repellant. It's not a luxury resort, but Guraidhoo offers a peaceful Maldivian expereince and culture.

The hotel is nothing like the pictures. It barely gets one star on the international standard. The room is small and there are spiders and ants in the room. The price is not worth the service given.

On behalf of the entire team of Konut by thakuru, we heartily apologize for you. however, our islands are tropical islands first of all the islands are having those all, we are trying to minimize to avoid those natural things. as konut by thakuru is having more trees and small plants ☘️ it make little insects attract. sometimes if rainfall it may be also increasing because of winds and rain those insects lost there home so some time they come to get in to the rooms for safe. almost all the doors of konut is open to out side so it may easy to get in by mistakenly once you open the door to heir the sounds of rain music. as soon as you have seen it and those are in your room you could request to remove them we are really looking forward to helping you it would be better right! our team is always ready to help you hassan, aroo, or adheel! Verified reviewThey were friendly, good food and they have a travel agency and provide tours so this is great if you want to visit arround. If you need transfer from Male they can provide this too, quick answers. It was a decent stay. Great sunsets on the island.
My room was without windows but other do have windows, overall was a decent stay.

Verified reviewStaff were so helpful and friendly! Organised all the tours, guided snorkeling in the local reef from the beach and took great underwater footage! Room was basic, but a good size and had all the necessary amenities and the bathroom was very clean. Extra beach towel which was useful. Having someone stay on site at all times was very reassuring. Felt completely safe as a female travelling solo. Just a few minutes walk to the harbour, beach, restaurants and sunset views.

Verified reviewI’d like to commend Aroo and her brothers and also Hassan for their exceptional hospitality. The place was clean, and the room was just right for two people. The Maldivian food they served was good. I especially appreciated that they could arrange everything for us, from the speedboat airport transfers to excursions and many other activities. We really enjoyed the excursion, especially since it was just the two of us. They were very helpful, friendly, and excellent divers. The bikini beach is only a 7-minute walk away, and it’s a good idea to bring your own beach mat along with plenty of sunscreen. Also, don’t forget mosquito repellent, as there are some mosquitos. A big thank you to them for arranging a small birthday celebration with a cake for my husband—it was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, everything was perfect. Highly recommended—just keep in mind that it’s a local island, so don’t expect luxury.

Verified reviewWe were so impressed with the friendly welcome at the port, feeling at home from the start, and being taken care of throughout our stay. We experienced the Maldivian culture and had pleasant interaction with local people on the island. If you prefer fine dining and 5 star hotel-type accommodation, then go to a private resort. We selected to stay in this establishment as it was affordable, we received personal attention and advice and our hosts were a pleasant Maldivian family, lovely to interact with. They even arranged a delightful chocolate cake for my wife’s birthday - free if charge! No need to worry about pre -arranged or expensive excursions as our hosts provided this to our needs, taking weather and sea tides into consideration. Gaadi tours is part of their family and provided an unforgettable experience to see dolphins, dive with sea turtles and view a coral garden with an astonishing glimpse of the most colourful tropical fish. They even captured picture and video recordings, using a drone and underwater camera. The images provided were amazing and stunning to share and relive the memories of this unforgettable trip.
Nothing really, as long as you do not expect ultra luxury, al la carte menus and alcoholic drinks not permitted on the island. We will return here as it provided all our needs at an affordable price.

Verified reviewThe property is very clean and cosy. Close to the bikini beach (overall the island is small and completely walkable). Breakfast was included and we also got to try the local Maldivian breakfast- all home cooked and clean. We had a buggy transportation for our luggage to & from the port and the property and they also helped us book the speedboat to Malé.They also greet you personally at the port to receive you 🙂 Ms. Aroo was the kindest host and organised our excursions as well as took care of giving us all the necessary information for the stay and trips. The excursions are managed by Gaadi Tours, which is exclusive to the home stay, so you get to do the trips only with the rest of the house guests- so it’s very comfortable. Gadi was a great guy who made us feel so much at ease with the open water swimming in deeper waters and we were mesmerised by the corals, swimming with the turtles, underwater water photography as well as visiting the beautiful sandbank during low tide. What a memorable experience for life ♥️ And lastly, Hassan who is the caretaker of the property was the most kindest soul who took care of your stay. It felt like we were staying with our family with all the warmth, kindness and attention. Highly recommend!

Verified reviewWe liked everything: - price vs. quality ratio - friendly and supportive personnel (Ali and Hassan did their best to make sure we had a perfect stay). Best service I've ever seen - location (not far from the bikini beach) - excursions available directly from the hotel (the guides are professional) - free coffee, tea, water, shampoo, towels, hairdryer, etc
